My birthday and Christmas list may be filled for the next ten years wow ! Got tshirts, mug, bumper stickers but so much non traditional things to see. Beverages, windsocks, artwork, mini statues, snow globes, magnets, lamps and I can't list it all but wow it's very well organized and stocked. There was a few areas with books and even a clearance center. I had so much fun just a forty minute drive or so from home but hey I love this subject matter so if you're curious about Bigfoot/Sasquatch you gotta check this out. There's historical things all over and modern research also. The staff was super helpful the prices were competitive. I got a long sleeve tshirt on sale for $15. Regular tshirts were $25 I believe. The North American Bigfoot Center is located at the intersection of Highway 26 and 212, next to a burger place, a pizza place, and a gas station. The facility features a gift store, a free information center, and an $8 admission area featuring dozens of exhibits. These displays show "evidence" of bigfoot and historical artifacts related to the sasquatch. There's a life size replica nicknamed "Murphy" that is a popular backdrop for photos. Altogether the museum took us probably 30 minutes going at a pretty quick pace. You could take longer if you stop to read everything. The staff at the ticket counter can be seen in photos in the exhibits, so they are experts and can answer any questions you may have. I'll admit that I am a bigfoot nonbeliever, but I think the museum did a pretty compelling job of making their case. They invite you into the world of possibility and it's fun to imagine that there are things we haven't discovered and questions we can't answer. read more

Timing didn't work for us to walk through, so we stopped and took some photos outside. The owner pulled up and took pictures for us. He was very kind! I had a great time visiting the NABC! The service was great; they were friendly and helpful. Their selection of facts (in the museum) and the items (in the gift shop) were plenty. My favorite part of the museum are the recorded vocalizations and tree knocks that are being played in the loud speakers. It was the perfect ambiance! The gift shop is fully loaded with books, clothing and accessories including copies of original footprint castings! Yes, the castings are for sale and I totally purchased one! This was a place that my daughter who loves anything and everything Bigfoot. We stopped and it's $8 per adult else if you're a senior, under 12 or military then you get a discount or free entry. They have a store of items to choose from and second location that they had lots of 3x shirts and that looked good. Many options for myself. I spoke to the guy and he said the county the museum is located in has the most Bigfoot spotting. He said Mt Hood is a hot spot for Bigfoot. They have a research lab upstairs. He said everyone that works there had a Bigfoot encounter. That's what sets them aside from the others around the US. The museum is a collection of artifacts taken or discovered from sights all over the US and Canada. They have an item that has the Bigfoot smell. It's awful. It's the smell you would expect. Raunchy. Quaint but jam packed with info, relics, data, research, etc. make your way through the gift shop into the actual museum, wave to Murphy (bigfoot statue) on your right and walk through all the different displays of local and international data and research. It doesn't look like much from the outside. It certainly isn't large. And for many the subject matter is surely fanciful and stretching the realm of what's possible. But whether you believe or not, the center does a great job of laying out their evidence, and their theories. Cliff and company make a compelling case for the existence of "Bigfoot". They're entertaining and informative. The conversation between the staff and the believers that visit are engaging to say the least. Kids and kids at heart will be entertained and engaged for quite a while because while not big it des take time to look at, read and see what is presented. They are serious about what they are doing and bring together a mountain of evidence to illuminate the existence of these elusive creatures. Dr. Jeff Meldrum from Idaho State whose Master's thesis regarded Australopithecus locomotion and supports the mission of this museum. The dedicated staff, and expertise of Cliff Barackman, curator, who has a cast collection of 300 + casts, (not all of which are on display) make this museum a definite resource for anybody, even those just vaguely interested in the topic. The entry fee is very reasonable, but plan a good chunk out of your day to soak in all the exhibits. read more

I think the space is going to be the defining factor here as the museum area is basically a large room and there's just not quite enough space for what I think this place is capable of. The exhibits they did fit in are really well done, although I wish they'd managed to fit in more kiddo stuff as the one or two things my kids could play with quickly got worked through and I found myself more and more having to corral them. I'm spending a week in Gresham Oregon and decided to head down to boring. My goodness I sure am glad I did. This spot really takes you into a world the government is trying to hide from us. My boyfriend and I drove up to Boring from Corvallis to check out the North American Bigfoot Museum shortly after they had gotten all the exhibits up in October, and we both agreed that it was WELL WORTH THE DRIVE! To begin with, Cliff and his wife Melissa were absolutely wonderful hosts, happy to answer questions, pose for photos, and take pictures of us in front of Murphy, a life-size bigfoot in the exhibit area. They were very friendly and down-to-earth. The main exhibit area is well-organized and has many castings, photographs, video clips, audio clips, newspaper clippings, related masks, posters, and tattoo art, among other things. We spent about two and a half hours going through the main exhibit hall and were impressed with how well done the exhibits were and the range of types of evidence. Everything was well-lit and photography is encouraged. There were also some exhibits in the gift shop, as well as a large selection of bigfoot goodies to purchase: notebooks, T-shirts, bumper stickers, stuffed bigfoot dolls, soap, books, and much more. Visiting the North American Bigfoot Center is both educational and fun. I will start by saying that we are not necessarily Bigfoot enthusiasts. But - this is one of the best museums of its type we have been to. The attendant was great and very helpful. We went with The Covid realities of mandatory masks and the whole facility was impeccably clean! The exhibits were SO well done and professional! We enjoyed meandering and reading each exhibit. We had a group of 14 - mostly adults and some kids and all enjoyed it. We bought Cliffs book and read about Bigfoot encounters as a group that night after dinner and no one slept well on our PNW cabin after that...lol. We even looked up Cliffs podcast for some listening on our way home. I think we are Bigfoot believers at this point :). Fun thing to do if you have an hour or two and are in the area. read more

I watched a news report about this place and I had no idea it even existed. We don't live too far from it so we decided to take A look we decided to visit on a Saturday. it wasn't too crowded, parking was really good, super easy to find. once inside we found that you can visit the gift shop for free and there are tons and tons of swag for sale stickers, glasses , books sweatshirts a very nice assortment of souvenirs. admission is only eight dollars kids are cheaper but we don't have any small ones anymore so I didn't catch the price I believe it's on the website. The exhibit is totally worth it lots of information lots of castings and pictures not a huge place inside but still plenty to look at.This is really cool place I recommend anyone who's just looking for something fun and cheap to do ..... it might make a believer out you read more

My wife and I are huge fans of Sasquatch research and discovered, after moving to the PNW, that we were 40 minutes to the NABC. An even more pleasant surprise was that Cliff from the Discovery television show, and his lovely wife are the proprietors of this very cool center. I hesitate to call it a museum, because it's not stoic or stuffy. Cliff and his wife were very welcoming, and weren't pushy at all in regards to merchandise, etc. I didnt feel compelled to purchace "souvenirs", although we did purchace some really fun stuff. Cliffs book Finding Bigfoot was already autographed, but he was kind enough to personalize it for my wife. The paid area of the center was well worth the price of admission. Fascinating exhibits, a very cool film about a local photographs analysis, and plenty of interactive displays. The best part is they kept it real, and science based, as for us this is no joke or hoax. The subject is taken very seriously. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit, and plan to go back and purchase art and castings to decorate our den once we are settled.
