I do not recommend any North Atlanta Dermatology locations. Their billing is excessive and misrepresented. So much for a well skin check up hundreds of dollars later. Being charged for a procedure that never occurred was the icing on the cake. Saying this spot is probably nothing do you want to have it looked at? Not letting you know you'll be billed $650 )3 spots later) most of which was out-of-pocket should be presented to the patient before proceeding. It is a money making organization that is not forthcoming. That is one of several billing examples I can give. read more

So this place in Duluth is run like a large fast food restaurant, similar to the Varsity. The front desk yells your name once to get you to fill out some forms after you arrive, and then a nurse yells your name again to come back. I liked my doctor and the visit with her was all of five minute. This was my first visit after switching over from my normal Dermatologist in Marietta. Shock alert - when I got ready to check out, the attendant stated I owed $180.00. I informed her of my copay amount and asked why she was asking 3x the amount I normally pay. She stated that they recently 'went corporate' and could see what was owed, but she couldn't tell me why. I said no, do not schedule my follow up, I won't be back. I prefer to know my provider and to not pay a demand or a ransom when I visit. I'll make the extra long trip back to Marietta next time. read more

I've been here three times and I don't t think I've spent a collective five minutes in the waiting room. I showed up a few minutes early for an appointment today to get some stiches removed and I was back out the door before my scheduled appointment time. And then there's the professionalism. The doctor treated me like an intelligent person, answering all my questions without being patronizing or condescending. I hope I don't have any more skin problems. it's impossible to speak with anyone. no one follows up. I really like Dr. Ismael, but patient management, communication, and follow-through are nonexistent. I had to send an hysterical text to get any response. you can only text through their website; very cumbersome. you can never speak to a human being. I was very impressed with Dr Dhar and his staff. I had zero wait time and Dr Dhar and the nurses were very kind and thorough. They went above and beyond answering my questions. I don't have health insurance and was a little fearful of being overcharged but their prices were very fair. I will definitely be back. read more

I have been going to NAD for some years for a routine mole check. My husband decided he should get a mole check this year after a gap of a few years. When I checked our insurance to see if the bills had been processed my husband was charged more for the EXACT same thing. On calling NAD I was told because he hadn't been for 3 years he was no longer an established patient and thus they charged more. I was not told this when I booked the appointments and he was not told this when he checked in. I find this very unethical and we will not be returning. The billing staff were very officious. The one star is not for the doctors or the NPs. I messaged you (Veronica) after seeing your reply. I have spoken to two different people in billing. Neither would budge. I have gone in there numerous times and once went for a body check...well, the nurse practitioner missed my basal cell carcinoma on my arm!!!! She checked my body in like one to two minutes flat and was so rushed...no wonder she missed the basal cell!!! She did not even look at my scalp!!! I saw her rush through and without any kind of thorough check!!! I went another time and had some rough patch on my leg check by a PA and she said just put cream on it and come back if it doesn't go away...turns out it was 100% basal cell and should've been removed - minimum they should've taken a biopsy of it....so I wasted a doctor visit since the PA said to just use cream...seriously lame since i had a history of basal cell....I will never go back there again!! Elderly visit with my Dad, & Myself. Dr. Waxweiler, who was very kind & considerate to him. He removed a couple of suspicious legions, and one to biopsy. He explained things (to me) very well; but my Dad struggled to follow the discussion. Afterwards he removed a cist near my eye, and discussed how these occur and how to self-remove, if I wished. As we were wrapping up & the doctor left the room, my Dad mentioned another growth on his back.....he forgot :-) Dr. Waxweiler was gracious to come back into the exam room, take a look & decided to freeze that one off - no problem! We were both treated well and on our way in 45 minutes.....strong work by the staff. read more

Horrible service, long wait times, and apparently they'll tell you certain procedures are covered by your medical insurance, then 1 month later you get a bill for a large amount of money and come to find it out wasn't covered. Apparently it's up to the patient to cross reference the medical codes that they bill for to what my plan covers!? Yeah right what a joke. How am I suppose to even know the medical codes, what they are, and how they bill them, and not that I'm a doctor but this is coming from someone with a degree in Biochemistry. They do not conduct business in a proper and ethical manner here, stay away. I'm trying to work with them to come to a compromise, however I just received a bill that they're going to send my bill to collections soon. Considering I'm a person with a long history and a near 800 credit score who always pays his bills on time, I am disgusted by their behavior. read more

I've gone to this dermatologist office for a while now, but I'm going to start looking for another dermatologist based on the call I just had with their offices. I tried to make an appt by phone and they spent 15 minutes asking me insurance and payment questions. Everything from how I would pay, how much my co-pay was, what was written on my insurance card, when it went into effect, blah, blah, blah. I literally spent 15 minutes answering probing questions related to payment. I should note that I've never had a payment problem with them in the past, either. Call me crazy, but I'm a little more used to Dr's offices asking about the *condition* I'm making the appointment for, rather than just the financials. BTW, they asked *one* question as to WHAT the appointment was related to. One. This left a really bad impression on me, and I think others must feel the same way. They really should reconsider their whole appt making process, nd make the focus on the patient's welfare instead of payment collection, as it just cost them this patient. read more

I see Dr. Stephanie Gardner. She is an extremely well educated physician from Emory University. She is very easy to talk to and can tell you instantly what your complexion could use and is especially well schooled in fillers and Botox. Tell her your budget and she'll work with you. read more

This has got to be the WORST dermatologist! You will constantly get surprise bills. If you call to question the bill, be prepared to get attacked by their front desk and bull dog accounting dept. they have no care for their patients and expect you to know everything about dermatology as a patient. They will be belittle you and attack you verbally. They treat you like a piece of garbage and the threat you on what they will do to your bills in the future. Stay far away!!!! read more

I saw Dr. Dhar on December 10 for two syringes of Restylane. I went back on December 23 after not seeing any change at all. Dr. Dhar told me he could use another syringe at a cost of $500, but he felt that I would be better off getting a face lift. He then gave me a paper recommending three plastic surgeons. I told him that I had fillers done by another doctor at same practice in May and my results were very different. He said, "A lot could have happened since then"--7 months ago. I could feel the fillers under my skin from the other doctor but nothing from my visit with Dr. Dhar. Even the method of putting the filler in was different. I am 55, and I do not have unrealistic expectations for fillers, but I do expect to see a difference after getting two syringes and spending a lot of money. Dr. Dhar was condescending and rude in suggesting a face lift. I would have appreciated him expressing that I would not see a difference before using the Restylane, saving me time and money. read more

I have been going here for 10 years and have never had an overly pleasant experience. I agree with a lot of the other negative reviews. I will also add that they rush you in and out. Additionally. I went in for a small pin sized bump on my face in February and the PA told me it was nothing. She said Retin A should get rid of it in a few months. So I paid $60 for the Retin A at the check out and the small bump never got any smaller. When I went in for an annual exam a month ago, the physician did a biopsy and it came back basal cell carcinoma. When I questioned them about what the PA said, they said they could not answer why she said Retin A would make it go away. I will definitely be searching for a new dermatologist. read more

Just left this office in Suwannee. First of all, I was referred them by my pediatrician for my foster daughter's skin. Everything was fine until the "nurse" who was probably just a woman with a free 9 months available to go to a technical school only to be deemed an assistant, looks at me and my family with judgment and disgust. I peeped her mug and said, my husband has to come along with my children (who were very well behaved) because I can't carry the baby carrier and the baby was the patient. She then doesn't say yes ma'am, okay or anything, she just looks at me and continue to mug my family with a, "Dang! How many of ya'll are there?", kinda look. To make matters worse, the doctor wasn't all that pleasant either. She was also just dealing because she had patients. Just by sitting in the waiting room, I'm sure they are used to a certain kind of clientel, you know the face pump n stick kind of people, but I didn't ask to be sent here. My pediatrician thought this place was family oriented enough to send me and my "gang" there for care that was being paid for like everyone else. I didn't appreciate their just dealing with me because they have to. I don't appreciate their judgment of people like me, in fact my family CAN pay for their services. We are helping some beautiful little girls who need love and support. They made us feel very disgusting. I will not be doing a follow-up here and I will be telling everyone I know and using every avenue available to tell people about this monstrosity of a place. read more

My family has been going to Dr. Douchy for 7 years now, and he is the BEST dermatologist in the north Atlanta area. He has seen my kids for acne, and has done skin checks and botox on my wife. Dr. Douchy is not like other dermatologists who rush thru appointments, he takes his time and makes sure he understands the problem and worked with my kids on the best options available. My dad also went to him with a pretty severe rash, and he was able to help him heal quickly when his Primary care physician could not help. Great personality, great physician, and I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a knowledgeable dermatologist for skin checks, acne, rashes, and fillers who has a great personality read more

I wish it had doctors and office as 2 different rating possibilities. We have used a few different doctors here at a couple different locations. Loved some more than others but they have all been good I think. They get fixed whatever problem we have had. But as far as contacting them to make an appointment I hate it every time and I have actually postponed making appointments because it irritates me so much. You call into one main number no matter which office you want appt for. In the 6 or so years we have gone here (5 people in my family go here) I have NEVER gotten to talk to someone when I called. You call, press1 for appts and then you get a message to leave all your info and 2 callback numbers and then they call you back, should be within 30 min...sometimes it's 5 min sometimes it's over 30. They need to hire extra people to answer phones. I usually call while in the car going from place to place so by the time they call back I could be in the middle of something. I would understand if it was getting called back to talk to doctor or nurse or occasionally if there was a busy spurt but every time is absolutely ridiculous. read more

Not one person smiled!!! I went for a consultation and should not have gone from the sound of the person who answered the phone when I set up the appointment. I decided to go and try them out because they are so convenient to my house. It was awful from the moment I checked in when the front staff did not smile at me nor even say hello. The assistant who took me back was irritated at someone and was not friendly at all. I sat there waiting for the PA and hoping all would be better BUT it was not.... Melinda the PA was snappy and acted as if I should know everything she was talking about and not ask any questions. I have been seeing Dr. Gabrielle Sabini for 18 years along with my family of 5. Over those years we have been thru everything together .. infant-toddler skin rashes, acne,spider bites, autoimmune rashes, anti-aging procedures etc. The list goes on and on but most importantly she basically saved my husbands life by finding a melanoma that was over looked by others. Over the years I have had numerous friends I referred tell a similar story. By far she has the most incredible eye for finding pre-cancerous/cancer on the skin and the tools and resources to prevent them. As far as growing old gracefully with anti-aging procedures, she is an artist with a needle, never over does anything and is the only Doctor I have seen that doesn't over sell something she doesn't think you need. Book in advanced for the "great ones" are not as easy to get in with but worth the wait in ten-folds. Her physician assistant is also amazing if you have a quick emergency and Dr Sabini is booked. The staff, nurses and cleanliness of their offices surpass all expectations. You won't be disappointed and you will have beautiful skin in return. read more
