This is a truly amazing business! The value, the quality of instruction, the accessibility. I could go on and on with reasons as to why I am such a fan. My sisters and I went in together to get a group windsurfing lesson for the dudes in our life. For just $110 each our group of 4 boys were able to spend a little over 3 hours with private instruction from a pair of genuinely just super cool people. Not to mention talented. They seriously made it look so easy. Every single one of them was able to get up on the board and actually sail! I was so impressed by how much they were able to learn so quickly. For 4 people they had 2 boards that they took turns on. Which meant each of them had plenty of time for practice and fun. They also got valuable Q+A time with the instructors. I loved getting to watch my husband learn this new skill! So grateful this company made it so easy to treat him to a fun a prize. If you're an onlooker, it's not the most ~glam~ area to relax in, but watching is possible! If you can bring a chair, a cooler, and a good book, I'd highly recommend it. Something to note is that finding the "launch spot" is a leeeeeetle tricky! You'll definitely want to look it up on a map before going, and having a good navigator with you might help too. read more

I had a great time yesterday and Richard is an expert instructor. The on land portion was broken down into easy to follow step by step instructions that helped smooth the transition to the water. After a short time on the water, building up my sea legs and some muscle memory I was off surfing across the water. Richard gave great positive reinforcement and it made for a great day on the water. Did a beginner's lesson for 4 with Richard and Anna. We had a great time and they were great teachers! We learned the basics, applied it with their guidance, then got to enjoy the rest of the time cruising with their tips along the way. I am learning the new sport of wing foil surfing and instructor Jonathan couldn't be better. His instructions are easy to follow and understand. I'm definitely not a natural at this but Jonathan has me riding with the wing out and back fairly easily. I've had two lessons so far and will certainly continue until I master this sport and then get my own equipment from the store. Instructor Jonathan is way into this sport and I can guarantee that you'll never find anyone who knows this sport better and also can teach it to anyone. It is such a cool new sport. I'm very excited that Jonathan has gotten me to make as much progress as I have in just two lessons. I'm not yet up on the hydrofoil yet, but will be there soon. read more

Excellent instructor!!! I wanted to get back into windsurfing since I had not windsurfed in about 20 years. I am 68 yrs old and was a little nervous about wasting an instructor's time. I scheduled a class with North Beach Windsurfing and showed up for a beginner's class. The winds were stiff at 10-12 knots and I was scared I would not be able to stand up. Britt, my excellent instructor, was not ony patient, he really had a feel for explaining to me where my balance and center of gravity should be. He took the time to make sure I had the right board and gear, and off we went. He came out on the board with me which gave me great confidence. Then I was shocked that I could windsurf, by myself! I was so happy with North Beach and Britt that I went back the next day, rented some equipment, and windsurfed again. I can't wait to go back and windsurf with them again. I think I have learned the most from North Beach than any other lessons I have taken. Thanks to them I am really starting to "get it". They don't have a fixed location to windsurf but go where the wind is best which is really helpful. Just be prepared because the locations don't necessarily have facilities. Bring some extra water for rinsing off! read more

They make standup paddleboarding accessible to people of ages, shapes, and sizes from the way they size the boards to the people to the fantastic instruction they provide.
