The cashier insisted it was "New York State law" that they couldn't accept a vertical ID, which is completely false. NY State law does not require an ID to be horizontal as long as it proves you're 21. When I politely inquired another worker about it, and he was nasty and rude, offering no real explanation and acting like I was causing a problem just for asking a valid question. If this store wants to make up their own rules, at least train your employees to be polite about it. I ended up going to Caputi Liquors, where they properly followed the law and accepted my ID because vertical IDs are valid in New York State. I won't be coming back to Global Wine & Spirits.

An Eagle Rare 17 for an awesome price. A Stagg (backup) for $50 less than I purchased my first one, and I thought that first one was a good price. Finally, she mentioned she had an Elmer T. Lee. The prices were nice on all of them and the amazing thing is that she sold all 3 of them to me. A lot of places only allow you ONE allocated bottle.
