    Super delicious fish sandwich.
    Alex L.

This is a really nice local deli/market around the Canalside area. They serve sandwiches, pizza and have some nice lunch specials. I think they are in a retirement home building, so you'll often be privy to some interesting conversations if you come in here. For instance, when I came in...both the cashier and the person behind the counter at the deli were engaged in a conversation about politics and how the times are a changin' with one of the customers. It was actually a bit annoying because I couldn't place my order for a few minutes while they were going on and on about policies, etc. I ordered the fish sandwich special when I was here on Friday. It was a nice breaded piece of haddock in between two buns served with tartar sauce, tomato, lettuce and a lemon. Unfortunately, the bun wasn't toasted..it really would have been much more delicious if it was toasted, but despite that the fish was nice, crispy and had a very tender texture. The entire lunch special only came to around $6.50 and came with a fountain drink and two sides...I had the slaw and the potato salad and both were really quite good! There are some picnic tables outside you can enjoy the lunch at or you can walk a quarter mile down to Canalside! Great little place!

Right across from my work buildings parking lot, the marina market is a hidden gem. I would describe the market as a bodega with a seating area and amazing lunch specials. Their prices are wonderful! They are walking distance from waterfront village, canalside, the naval park, etc. you can call your order in for pick up, order on the spot, or they also have delivery through local services like Grubhub, etc. they are also associated with Judy's deli inside waterfront village. I've gotten lunch a few times and am always pleased.

Ordered the Sicilian. The roasted red peppers and sandwhich size pepperoni make it a standout. Best kept secret at Canalside.

I'm always on the lookout, keeping my ear to the ground, for great pizza places in Buffalo…read more Although sometimes, I just want to try some place new. I had heard good things about Naked City Pizza, so I decided to take a break from my usual spots and give them a try and overall, I am very pleased! I called around 4:45pm on a Saturday and a gentleman took my order. He was courteous and friendly and said my order would be ready in 25-30 minutes. I arrived about 30 minutes later, easily finding a parking spot in their large parking lot, which is a mixture of pavement and dirt/gravel. Walking inside the shop, it's similar to most Buffalo pizza shops where it's relatively small and really about take-out, not for dining in. There were a few young guys working the counter and ovens, they were able to get me in and out quickly. From the limited time I was inside, the workers were friendly enough, they seemed to get along well. For dinner, I ordered a Quarter Sheet (6 slices) Steak and Three Cheese pizza but the gentleman who took my order over the phone put my order in as a Half Sheet (12 slices). They realized the mistake too late and gave me the Half Sheet for the Quarter Sheet price! I really do appreciate that, it's great customer service. I have half a pizza leftover for a quick dinner now! Naked City Pizza nails the traditional Buffalo-style with a doughier undercarriage and nice crispy, chewy crust. The dough was airy but it didn't seem as "heavy" as many other pizza places around Buffalo, but maybe I was just REALLY hungry. haha For their steak pizza, it seems like they use thicker pieces of steak, which was great, definitely felt more substantial. Most steak pizzas come topped with banana, hot, or sweet (bell/green) peppers, but Naked City uses roasted red peppers, which are sweet and have a more distinct flavor and softer texture - I was impressed, this paired VERY well with the other components! Along with them, there's also onions on top. The three cheeses used are cheddar, mozzarella, and parmesan, which of course are delicious. In addition to the roasted sweet peppers, the other component that I was surprised by was the white garlic sauce as the base. Steak pizzas around Buffalo vary from using a "hoagie oil/sauce" to just a huge variety of cheeses, no base sauce of any kind. I tend to stay away from white sauce on pizza as it's usually associated with garlic (I don't want my breath to be too... fragrant haha), but this wasn't too garlic-y, I didn't feel like I was "wearing it". I enjoyed the added creaminess the white sauce added to this pie. After six slices, I stopped myself and put the other half in the freezer. The six slices I had were delicious and filled me up nicely - The squares were cut nicely and they were plenty filling with tons of meat and cheese. I have a feeling these will reheat in the oven nicely. Looking at the prices, I was impressed too with how affordable Naked City Pizza is! All-in-all, I'm glad I gave Naked City Pizza a chance and had a great experience! The staff are friendly enough and quick, it's easy to get in and out quickly, and the pizza is traditional Buffalo-style so it's on the heartier end while being affordable. I look forward to ordering and trying a red sauce pizza from Naked City Pizza to see how sweet their sauce is.

On the menu for this visit: Panzanella Salad, a half-pepperoni/half-sausage pizza, and Affogato. The Panzanella was beautiful in presentation and tasted just as good. Firm, fresh tomatoes, lettuce, cucumbers, red onions, crostini, and dressing that all complemented each other perfectly. Refreshing and delish! The Affogato...AffoMazing!! Such a simple combination: espresso and vanilla gelato/ice cream, but goodness!! Sometimes simple is all you need. Now, the : At first, I was getting ready to be unimpressed. But NOPE! I haven't been to Italy in a little while, but this pizza was freaking close, if not spot-on, when it comes to authenticity! Brick-oven baked with a light crust, chunky real tomato sauce (forgot to ask if it was home-made), just the right amount of cheese, and REAL pepperoni and sausage. And did I mention...very little grease?! The taste was light, fresh, and not overly filling, just right! Overall, Forno Napoli was a fantastic choice! Great atmosphere, warm service, fresh food, and pizza that brought back a little taste of Italy. Definitely worth a visit! Ciao

When you first enter, there is a phenomenal selection of specialty pies, and all are included in their two slice & soda special for $9. They offer both fountain sodas and a generous selection of refrigerated drink options also. Once you order, there is a back dining room with several different size tables, but all with Bills chairs, which is a neat trend we loved seeing in this area, despite being from Florida. The man who greeted us was kind helpful and I was impressed with the pizza options. We ordered: - Buffalo Chicken: had a really good flavor & was my favorite! - BBQ Chicken: my son loved it - Margerhita: also had a good flavor - Pickle: the best we've had by far - Beef Pattie: looks like a Jamaican one but isn't spicy and had a very strange almost veal or lamb taste. Overall the flavors of the pizzas were really very good, but unfortunately every slice was so overcooked and burnt that it quickly overtook the great flavor of each bite. Now, the thing is, everyone likes different kinds of pizza, and apparently Brooklyn style isn't necessarily our jam, but for something we really don't like (black crust), it was still very good and we would highly recommend it to people who like more cooked pizza.

This time I ordered their take on a WNY specialty pizza: the chicken finger pizza. In short, it was fantastic! Since I'm a member of their rewards program, I received a "$5 off your next order" code and figured it'd been a couple months since my last visit. The coupon couldn't have come at a better time. I placed my order online on a Saturday around 4:15pm for a 5:05pm pick-up. I know, you lose a bit of the personability when you don't call the restaurant to place an order, but online ordering is so easy and quick, and I love being able to pick my pick-up time and know my order will be ready, and paid for, when I arrive. As of 07/2026, the inside of One Pie Pizza Co. underwent a remodel. It's not as spacious, but I think it opens up their kitchen more, which I'm 100% on-board with since that means more pizza and other goodies. The staff are just as friendly and courteous as ever, I'm glad that hasn't changed. So, for dinner, I ordered a QTR Sheet (six slice) from their "SUPER Specialty Pizza" menu - The BFLO Chicken Finger (blue cheese base) cooked "LIGHT WELL DONE", which is a choice between their homemade red sauce or blue cheese base that is topped with diced chicken fingers, mozzarella cheese, and Frank's (medium) sauce. The "LIGHT WELL DONE" option is for cooking the dough underneath a bit more, firming it up, making it crispier. I like a little extra cook on my pizza as, sometimes, the Buffalo-style dough is a bit too limp, almost soggy/wet, which makes holding a slice... challenging. haha Now, I've had a few chicken finger pizzas throughout the years and while I love them, they don't always love me back. They're typically very dense pizzas thanks to all the cheese (blue cheese base AND cheese blends on top) but I was impressed with how well One Pie Pizza Co.'s sat. Don't get me wrong, this pizza is absolutely loaded. When I opened the box, I was worried how I was going to pick it up as it looked messy, but as they say, appearances can be deceiving! I was impressed and didn't finish my meal wearing it all over my hands and face. Every slice was generously topped, the flavor was spot-on. Now, I love a cheesy pizza, but I really appreciate the constraint One Pie Pizza Co. showed with not going overboard with a "blend" of cheeses on top of a blue cheese base - The layer of mozzarella was plenty, a great flavor on its own. As with all of their pizza, this left me happy and full. With that $5 off coupon, this brought the price to under $20, an incredible price, especially in 2026! One Pie Pizza Co. remains one of my favorite pizzas in Buffalo. I'm glad I finally tried their chicken finger pizza, this was excellent. With how well it agreed with me, I'm pretty confident in saying One Pie Pizza Co. will be where I order chicken finger pizzas from exclusively going forward!

Their sister pizzeria, Pizza Florian in East Aurora, had a separate vegan menu so I was hoping for the same. That is not the case here. Our server said any pizza could be made vegan, meaning they could swap out the cheese for vegan cheese but any other non-vegan items (meat, specially cheeses like stracciatella) would be omitted. That's fine, though not ideal. Same with the $2.50 upcharge for vegan cheese- makes sense all other things being equal but if whole ingredients are being left off, it adds to the sting of not getting a similar experience for thoughtful seasonal pies. In the end, the pizza is so delicious it's hard not to give 5 stars. We had a Neopolitan and a Detroit style. The dough on both was incredible and magical and really the star of the pizza. The vegan cheese is great - did not remind me of any common store brands. The toppings accent the crust rather than the crust being just a vehicle for toppings. Lots of seasonal items, so go often.

Not sure if it was the high expectations I had, but it was a bit of a letdown. Don't get me wrong, it's good pizza, but I don't really understand the major hype around this spot. The fig jam and prosciutto Detroit style pizza is honestly what saved the experience. The texture and crisp of the crust was perfection. And I love the combo of flavors the pizza had. Service was good overall and ambiance was nice. It's a smaller spot but it's a cute spot to go to.
