A well established destination in downtown Concord, many of the dealers have been here for a great number of years selling their vintage and antique wares. Nice store with an assortment of items. Upon closer inspection, many items aren't "antique" as claimed. And some dealers could not be bothered to remove the goodwill price tag from the bottom of their item, revealing the retail at half the asking price. I always try to support antique stores, but I was put off by the misleading information. read more

Mind Boggling how this business can attract so many phony dealers, selling "so called antiques" ... with high price tags! One in particular goes by jlyons events and antiques... she is full of malarkey,her items have no authenticity and her crass behavior while chatting to other dealers or owner would make you cringe.. Was browsing in the store yesterday when the woman working their began to have a conversation with her friend who came in to visit. They talked about Jews, Muslims, then how the Democrats were brainwashing everyone. It was incredibly anti-Semitic, anti-Muslim and all-around awful. After about five minutes, I approached them and told them I did not think it was appropriate for employees to be having such a controversial conversation where customers might hear them, They responded by attacking me, saying it wasn't their fault if I couldn't handle their opinion. I walked out which is exactly what everyone else should do! read more

North Bridge Antiques is a beautifully curated shop, over the years the quality off their merchandise has remained high. There are some pieces of small furniture, but you are most likely to find a beautiful decorative piece, a fine piece of original art, jewelry both antique and contemporary, and many smalls perfect for any occasion when you need a special gift. I find that there is good turnover, so, it's worth stopping in often when in the neighborhood. The people working there are knowledgeable and always willing to help you. I have been a customer at this shop for quite some time; however, after what I heard in the shop today, I will not be back. Around 4:00 PM on Saturday, October 27, the woman at the register was speaking to another woman (who appeared to also be employed at the shop) about a subject entirely inappropriate for work. The two were discussing male and female genitalia in explicit terms, saying "I don't want men in the women's bathroom, especially if they still have their parts" and other comments about transgender women being criminals who prey on people whose genitalia is "right". I initially thought they didn't realize there was anyone else in the shop, so I made sure I was visible. When they still didn't cease their vile conversation, I attempted to interrupt them several times, but they were so focused on contemplating the sexual organs of others, they didn't hear me at first. Once their attention could finally be torn away, I told them they were very unpleasant people. The woman sitting at the desk said "what's unpleasant about discussing this?!" and I let her know that I certainly wouldn't be back. When I began to walk out of the store, she said "oh we'll miss you!" in a particularly nasty tone. I have never heard such inappropriate language at an antique shop, and I certainly hope to never do so again. The behavior of these two women was appalling, and their laser-like focus on whether men and women "had their things removed" was beyond disturbing. I do know your shop is staffed by several dealers. While I would hope the rest would not act so unprofessionally, the behavior of these repugnant women has reflected negatively on this business as a whole, and I certainly won't be returning to such an odious establishment. read more

I have found that I have l left this store empty handed most of the time. During my last visit I was excited because I found a lovely little washboard which I felt was reasonably priced! There were two women in the shop! Both were friendly. I will return again but have found better finds elsewhere! Could just be my taste however! read more

Great little antique shop in Concord that I discovered through a "Best of Boston" list. Not at all stuffy with overpriced junk like some shops, there was a surprisingly large selection of various antiques at affordable prices. The woman working there was super nice, almost motherly. I've been back several times since and always manage to find an interesting little gift. I love this place! read more

So I decided after working 12 hours I would try to get in some Christmas shopping done. I love concord and the unique shops which offer a different kind of shopping experience than the routine run of the mill mall. A unique treasure always makes a surprising Xmas gift. I have a number of shops I visit when I come to Concord and unfortunately this is one of them I've visited and last time swore I would never go again. I entered the shop in a near zombie like stupor after having worked 12 hours so the glazed look on my face perhaps influenced how the shop keepers interacted with me. Two older woman were flittering about complaining about something or other. I meandered through the long store which is basically a straight shot through the store. I've made a number of purchases here before and at many of the other local stores over the years. I felt the eyes upon me as I walked through the store and not the concerned can I help you eyes but the "don't even think about stealing something eyes because I'm watching you and the minute you walked in here I pegged you as a THIEF" It's so painfully obvious when you're being followed by a storekeeper who then procedes to ask "would you like to keep your bag at the counter so you can meander easier through the store" . NO, NO I WOULD NOT LIKE TO KEEP MY BAG AT THE COUNTER. This woman had the audacity to try and peek in my bag just to make sure I wasn't stealing anything. So perhaps it was a one time overly anxious storekeeper who has had a bad experience w/ theft that made her treat me in this manner but as I mentioned I've been down this road before at this store and have felt the same way during previous visits. Perhaps a body cavity search and full body pat down would be more welcoming. Interestingly enough I'm not the only person who has felt this way at this store and have been told by other storekeepers that they are incredibly paranoid regarding theft, Besides making me feel like a common criminal and incredibly uncomfortable and but for that experience I would have had a wonderful shopping experience on an incredibly warm Decemeber morning. The store is overpriced w/ an eclectic selection of antiques. I have made purchases here before and have found a few treasures but will not shop here again. I would suggest security cameras. It's a big turn off to be followed around a store. I still love Concord and will not stay away from the Cheese Shop but North Bridge Antiques you need to evaluate your customer service read more

Staff overly preoccupied with intruding on customers. I need to think when shopping, not be peppered with questions such as "what are you looking at?". Leave me in peace! Chaz is absolutely correct. Nosey, paranoid busybodies should not work in antique shops. read more

the North bridge store had an amzing number of really good things inlcuding toy soldiers, various types of china and many other interesting items. best of all the prices were very good. read more

This place has great items but it is very expensive and they don't haggle. The lower rating is for the old lady who works here. She follows you around the store like youre a criminal! It makes me not want to shop here and go to the place across the street. The man who works here and younger woman (30's?) are nice and I like them, when I go there when they are working I have no problems and they are very nice to talk to. The other issue is often I find things unmarked and they have to call the owner to get a price, sometimes which I feel is way too high for the item. Free parking in the back. I find the good employees are there on the weekends and the older lady is there weekday mornings/early afternoons when I go. If you have lots of money and dress like it I doubt she would bother you but I sometimes go to concord looking like I'm headed to the gym and I like to shop in peace!! (To be clear, the old lady is nice enough to talk to but she certainly follows you around pretending to be fixing things about a foot away from you as you shop). read more
