I check in here every time they play and have seen the rink finally upgrade into providing a nice concession stand like others have done. They serve hot and cold foods now, and overall the *stinky* factor is not bad "Marlborough being the worse." The only thing I see lacking in this rink is the weather control "NATICK being the best so far for temperature and choice seating...you can sit behind the penalty boxes AWESOME!" Unlike the other rinks, their heating is not on par with the rest so a jacket/blanket is def required. I like that they have separate entrances for the teams and they do not have to have the teams walk through the actual lobby to get there (which I have also seen some rinks do "MARLBOROUGH" There is ample parking that is close and a Dunkin's/stores nearby. Kill two bird with one stone.

There weren't too many people considering it was a day off. Plenty of parking and we walked in to check in and pay for the public skate. We were also able to get skates sharpened. Very large and clean. Was able to help myself in terms of my skating rentals. Plenty of seating if just want to observe.

I enrolled my younger child for beginners class this year. He was COMPLETELY ignored by the instructor because he was skating slower than the other kids. For one class he was completely on his own for over 20 minutes. The instructor could not handle more than 2 kids. Then he was shoved to another instructor without telling us the parents. My child complained that he is not in the right class and had since lost interest in the sport. Great job in destroying a once motivated child, Hayden.

I asked one staff the other day if my daughter can be given a make up class for the lesson she missed, the staff gave me a simple NO without even looking at me. That was very rude. The other staff, when I asked if my daughter can be given a replacement of the practice card, she gave me a very obvious suspicious look and then NO. The director is a guy that thinks he is better than everyone else. There are enough kids in Lexington interested in skating lessons and using the facility. I guess they are never concerned about where to get customers. It is just such a shame that we have to deal with these people.

However the one thing that's great about it is the quality of the ice and the spectator seating. Both are top notch. However the locker rooms are tiny, especially for a roster of 15+ players. Rachel did a great job instructing, analyzing and coaching me during that hour. When I took what I learned on ice I noticed a difference in my skating after one session. I can't wait to go back next week. Update: I have now gone 3 times and cannot believe how much I have learned and improved!! I wish I had come years ago rather than waste my time at clinics that have 30 skaters and no individual attention. TC's is great for any age and level for learning and fine tuning skills.

They don't baby the kids (which I love) but they are detail oriented, encouraging, and patient. Their communication is wonderful and prompt. My son loves to work and wants to improve his game, and this coaching staff has quickly shown they have what it takes to get him there while also letting him have fun. We drive an hour south to make it, and it's totally worth it. We are TC client's for the long haul, and my little guy can't wait to be back on the ice or tread. Coaches Tina, Scott, Kayla, and Olivia have been outstanding - can't say enough good things about them!

The Jack Kirrane ice rink is in a lovely setting…read moreas it's not only outdoors, but at the top of a hill surrounded by trees and then the rest of the Larz Anderson Park. It's a great visual experience on top of having nice ice. A plus is that aside the rink is a flat patch of rectangular ice for beginners to practice on. One thing I don't like about skating at the Reilly Rink in Cleveland Circle is that beginners flop all over the ice. You can sit at the side of Reilly and time it on your watch and not go more than five seconds without seeing someone fall on the ice and possibly cause a pile-up. Kirrane has a nice solution for it. Reilly is free and Kirrane does charge $8 for Brookline residents (as of early 2026, fees may change with inflation!!!) and $10 for non-residents. They also rent nice quality skates, both figure and hockey style, if you don't have your own. The absolute best is to come in December to early January for the afternoon public skate and watch the sun set and the sky change colors off to the west before they shut down at 4:30pm. If you're lucky there will also be some snow in the surrounding trees adding to the experience. The only negative experience I has was that the staff didn't confront some pain in the butt kids. Some kids around ages 10-12 went on the beginner ice and were skating really fast and then diving and sliding on the ice as far as they could and knocking into beginner skaters, including young children. Neither their parents nor the staff said a word to them. I was close to going hockey player and roughing some of them up to teach them a lesson. They really should crack down on this before someone really gets hurt.

They had Kpop Demon Hunters playing on repeat, the music throughout the ice rink and then the kids went wild with it during karaoke. I looked around and could not figure out where the screen was (if they even had one) because other songs, kids were mumbling. I do appreciate that there's a middle area where ice skating beginners can practice and learn. They also had laser tag, but no one was interested. Pizza was the best they got for food and kept me full while my niece had fun. There was also a 1 lap race for different age groups and if you were an expert skater, they made you start further back.
