During my most recent visit for figure skating, multiple front parking spaces were blocked by buses. One bus alone occupied approximately eight parking spots while the driver remained inside with the engine running. This significantly reduced access for paying skaters. When I reported this to the front office, the response was dismissive and unhelpful. I was explicitly told by staff that I "needed to park on the overhang on the hill," despite arriving with skating equipment and multiple bags. No attempt was made to assist, redirect the buses, or offer a reasonable alternative. The manner in which this was communicated was discourteous and left me feeling disregarded as a customer. Unfortunately, similar issues have occurred in the past. On a previous visit, the women's restroom was flooded, and the only accessible stall had ice-cold water. The facility frequently has an unpleasant odor, and overall cleanliness and maintenance appear to be ongoing concerns. Last year in the winter, I encountered a fall stepping out of my car in the parking lot because no maintenance was done to remove ice. Also, the ice is absolutely miserable and resurfacing not done on time, so we often don't get to skate the full 50 minutes that we pay 30 dollars for. As a figure skater - and especially being a woman that gets treated condescendingly and with absolutely zero respect, I have repeatedly felt unwelcome at this facility. Combined with poor parking management, inadequate maintenance, and consistently unprofessional interactions with staff, this creates an environment that does not meet the expectations of a major sports complex. I would expect far better organization, accessibility, and customer service. Until these issues are meaningfully addressed, I cannot recommend this facility.

The coffee is only slightly better than coffee I had on military bases which I was convinced was filtered through a sock. My son complained the "ice was terrible". It's a great visual experience on top of having nice ice. A plus is that aside the rink is a flat patch of rectangular ice for beginners to practice on. One thing I don't like about skating at the Reilly Rink in Cleveland Circle is that beginners flop all over the ice. You can sit at the side of Reilly and time it on your watch and not go more than five seconds without seeing someone fall on the ice and possibly cause a pile-up. Kirrane has a nice solution for it. Reilly is free and Kirrane does charge $8 for Brookline residents (as of early 2026, fees may change with inflation!!!) and $10 for non-residents. They also rent nice quality skates, both figure and hockey style, if you don't have your own. The absolute best is to come in December to early January for the afternoon public skate and watch the sun set and the sky change colors off to the west before they shut down at 4:30pm. If you're lucky there will also be some snow in the surrounding trees adding to the experience. The only negative experience I has was that the staff didn't confront some pain in the butt kids. Some kids around ages 10-12 went on the beginner ice and were skating really fast and then diving and sliding on the ice as far as they could and knocking into beginner skaters, including young children. Neither their parents nor the staff said a word to them. I was close to going hockey player and roughing some of them up to teach them a lesson. They really should crack down on this before someone really gets hurt.

The next thing was while waiting to go back on the floor and watching the experienced skaters skate, a female very upset began swearing at another unknown group saying "she got me f**ked up". Getting checked out at the register the blonde woman working gave me a weird vibe and kind of yelled at me for my wrist band falling off with my glove which she insisted I take off for a stamp. Then as my friends are skating we get screamed at by this same lady who's standing on the ice now in boots to slow down. We laugh and look around at the kid she was yelling at and it was US!
