We drove up from Roseville because of a puppy we saw on the website. We arrived we were able to meet the pup and hang out with her for awhile. Unfortunately we couldn't get her that day because our application wasn't filled out before we came up, but it was ok. We instantly fell in love with a pup there. 2 days later we got a phone from the rescue saying they approved application and that we can pick up the pup. We drove up a couple days later, they were thorough and gave us all the medical background. In all, we couldn't be happier with our pup and the process of getting her.

Place wasn't clean they didn't have much shade and place needed maintenance. Power would cut out every 15 min. Apparently they only had one breaker for all the back yard this was for the DJ, Live band and string lights. They some guy I think he was the owner was standing next to the breaker box all night. Over all place need cleaning and improvement. Maybe more breakers for reliable electricity. I took these pictures on the way out. They have old garbage, sheets of metal, machines and wood laying around. They even have a old spring mattress frame laying on the ground. Looks like a junk yard. Unprofessional!

Max's Miracle Ranch is a wonderful place to take younger kids, especially during Halloween or the…read moreholiday season. Max is their son and he has a serious heart condition. The family has rallied around not only Max, but the entire community of families with seriously ill children in the area. The Ranch has a petting zoo, a train for the kids to ride, and during the different holidays many different rides and fun activities. Saw some cuties on the website asked about them. 560$ What is this?? Is this genuine care of a good home or a puppy mill? This wasn't the end of the experience. I texted whoever the person was to ask regarding other puppies. 650$ and higher. Not only were chihuahuas way over priced. Their attitudes are not professional or welcoming. They have all the wrong people wrking in there. Every question I asked regarding the doggies. Rude responses. It's like I'm bothering them. If you're going wrk with animals and give them the best chance possible be thorough with people, kind and put those prices more reasonable. There's more cost like vet care supplies so all that needs to be considered.

I was fortunate to have a…read morevolunteer make the trek from Chico down to Southern California with my new addition, and I will say that I am very impressed with them. The adoption fee was $295 and included up-to-date vaccinations and neuter. I adopted a Chiweenie dog from them, and I was very impressed with how fast he adjusted to us. He immediately opened up to me and showed me lots of affection within hours - and still shows me so much love to this day. He was very well mannered and let us know he needed to go potty outside. They also let us know that our dog was very motivated by food, which we expected and were prepared for as our previous Chiweenie was similar. It was very clear to us that Wags and Whiskers Pet Rescue put a lot of time, care, and effort into our dog. That is no small feat by any means, and by volunteers, no less. Adoption fees do vary among animals, but I feel the value was well worthwhile due to the quality we have seen of our dog. The staff were friendly, communicative, and went beyond our expectations. I would highly recommend adopting from Wags and Whiskers Pet Rescue. They made the adoption process so easy, and we are so in love with our dog.
