Last year I rescued a puppy that had been hit by a car. After searching frantically in the early morning hours and multiple failed attempts to find an open vet, I called North Cache Veterinary Services at 7:30 a.m. and Dr. Cliff answered the phone. I gave him a quick rundown of the situation, and he told me they would be there waiting for me. I arrived eight minutes before they opened, and Dr. Cliff immediately took care of the puppy. I told him that if there were no major issues, I planned to keep him. Dr. Cliff cleaned the wound, sutured him up, and later that day I was able to take him home. This is such a wonderful, caring, and compassionate vet clinic. I made multiple follow-up trips afterward, even though it's a 2hr drive from my house. I felt extremely loyal to Dr. Cliff and his staff for their quick response and the support they gave the puppy I rescued. I am so grateful to you, Dr. Cliff, and to your entire staff. And so is Lucky--the dog who is lucky to be alive. We have had great care from this clinic for our turtle, cats, dogs, sheep, horses, cows, chickens, and ducks. The Dr's truly try their best and are constantly training their staff to improve. They care about their patients and clients. They continue to take educational classes to improve their abilities to provide the best care. We will not take them anywhere else. read more

My dog broke his leg so we brought him in to get it checked out. They said they needed to put him under to reset his bone which is completely understandable. I then came back to puck him up, and he was in some strange contraption. I sent pictures to 4 other vets I know and asked if this was normal. All 4 said it was an unethical way of doing things. A few days later... that strange contraption slipped off his leg, so we called to see if they could re-wrap it. They said there was nothing they could do for him until his follow up appointment. Which was 1.5 weeks later. So we wrapped it as best as we could to get him to his follow up. When we took him back in, the vet criticized our way of wrapping his leg. We then explained that we tried to call and have them wrap it for us and we were turned down very rudely. He then proceeded to tell me that they had to put him under AGAIN! JUST TO WRAP HIS LEG! this was infuriating because our dog has shown no sign of aggression and hold very still for the vet. I see no need in charging the additional cost of putting him under again! We have since gone to another vet and had our records moved. Our new vet said our puppies leg is healing slowly because of the way it was wrapped in the first few (Crutial healing) weeks. read more

Would not recommend. They administered a dog vaccine to my kitten on accident. When I confronted the vet about it (who decided to check the chart a month later), he admitted they had not checked and had let an intern do it. A freaking dog vaccine to a kitten. I had requested to have him microchipped during his neutering procedure both verbally and on the intake form and they failed to do it. I was the one who noticed, not having seen it charged on my receipt. They had absolutely no record of whether or not it had been done at all so I had to drive back for them to try and scan his neck to see if he had been microchipped. Poor baby was also was totally soaked in urine when I picked him up (risking infection to the surgery area) so I really question their overall practice. I will never take any animal to them ever again. read more

I genuinely appreciate this vet. Dr. Cliff Mitchell is the one my cats usually see, so I don't really know his father, but Cliff is a true prodigy concerning animals. I'm always impressed by how quickly he knows exactly what is needed. And he's very, very good with animals. This is my favorite vet ever. read more

I was just looking at the reviews of this vet here on Yelp. I can tell by looking at the review by Dede that she must have mistakingly provided a review of another vet on this vet's Yelp page. I would completely disregard it. I am a professional breeder who has been bringing all of my dogs and puppies to North Cache Vet for many years. Both Cliff and Larry are the best of the best. Highly skilled, knowledgeable and experienced. The vet that Dede is speaking of in their review must be another vet. This veterinary clinic has never remotely conducted itself in any way as Dede describes. Not at all. They are the most professional and knowledgeable veterinarians I have ever run across in my 30+ years of raising and professionally breeding dogs. read more

Called In because my one dog was sick. Receptionist gave me a price of $75 , told me to bring both my dogs in just incase they find something both dogs would need to be treated for. I get there and had a new Tech that had no idea what he was doing. They ended up testing both dogs after I stated the one was not sick. Send me home with a couple meds and said they had no idea what was wrong with my dog. Try these and if they don't work come back. Got to the front desk and they told me it was $500 they had charged me for meds that were not sent home with me. When I called to see why bill was so high and why I was charged for more then I was given. They said we will look and call you back never could get anyone to call me back. Finally talked to someone that cared to help gave him the info. He put me on hold and a lady came on the phone and said that is your bill and if you don't PIF we will send you to collections. Nothing they did helped my dog I did have to take her to another vet. Supper rude customer service and astronomical pricing. I would stay clear of this place. read more

Inexpensive, reliable and helpful with a lot of knowledge. Offer a lot of extras for a cost, but are honest and upfront with it. Facilities aren't the newest but are adequate. It's always been a bit out of our way to journey up here, but they're worth it. read more

Unlike most vets offices, you are allowed and encouraged to be in the exam room with your pet. This allows the opportunity to ask questions and get to know more about the health of your pet. So happy to have this opportunity and the fear of what they're doing behind close doors is removed. I can't tell you how many times I've been to a vet and heard my animal crying back there somewhere, never knowing what was going on. "He sure doesn't like his nails trimmed", why were they trimming his nails? If this is something he need maybe I can do it? After learning how, I was flabbergasted, he sat very well and allowed me to trim them, what had they done to my baby to make him cry like that? This alone, allowing me into the exam room, has made me feel a thousand times better about taking my pets to the vet. I can hold him still when they do shots, calm him. This means the world to me. This also confuses me as to how the other reviewer had unwanted services. They are the most affordable neuter in the valley, and pain medication was included (my most appalling moment was learning that many vets will do these procedures without any pain medication). They also have a feral program for fixing feral or barn cats for free. I love these guys and the drive is 100% worth it. read more

Everytime go in there demanded get bloodwork done, i just go in for supplements. so i did, most horrible experience, EVER. my old pet still suffering from what they did to her. she went in for bloodwork, they shaved her cut a hole her leg, then goes into aroom to run the bloodwork. get a towel out wrap her up start pulling her teeth, 'i said what are u doing,? vet said 'i am going to pull thESE teeth out'. what?WAS IN SHOCK charged me for the procedures they did. give me a quote having all her teeth pulled, i said she to old ; vet saidI AM GOING TO PULL THEM'. She not doing well i do not know how long she live NOW. went in for blood work , shave her, then cut her, then try to pull her teeth. on top that cut her nail left part of it still in her pad foot. go in to get food, give me the wrong food tell me against the law, constantly. won't exchange it even though garanteed. went in to get to get supplement sell me another product said same as the other. went on the internet no comparison. NOT the same in anyway shape or form. look at reciept they gave us charged us way more foR this product, plus put the other product on the reciept. Call talk to a few they said 'ILLEGAL FOR THEM TO PUT ANOTHER PRODUCT ON UR RECIEPT. illegal to do procedures u did not give permission. u value pets life please do not trust these people. save urself the heartache losing pet from procedures were not authorized by U. read more
