This review is for the Sales Department, it's a long review as I don't want to leave any details out. I was looking for a used 4Runner on Autotrader Saturday May 21st, North Central Ford popped up with a very nice 4Runner, within my price range and everything I want for options. I live in Arlington so I called to ensure that the vehicle was still available. Red (their Internet Sales Rep) says they have someone who has put a deposit down on it. I tell him that the car is absolutely everything I want and that if the sale falls through I would love to know. Red states that if the sale falls through I am the next customer and he will call me for a deposit so I can drive up to the dealership to finish the transaction, (I already have all my funding and money in hand). Red says he works at 11:00 on Monday. I texted Red Monday and asked when the customer appointment is to purchase the vehicle, he answers 1:00, I reiterate that if anything falls through I want the vehicle and I can be there the same day to purchase. At 2:00 I texted Red and asked him if the sale went through, I do not get an immediate response. At 3:13 I receive a phone call from Josh, the Used Car Manager, leaving me a message to call him. When I call back (12 minutes later) he explains that there is someone in the dealership looking at the vehicle and they maybe interested in buying it. I immediately offer to put a deposit down over the phone and head to the dealership to finish the transaction. He informs me that their really not allowed to do that and that I should have called him back earlier and he has people already in the dealership who may purchase it. At this point I am really upset but am trying to be reasonable, he promises to call me back in 5-10 minutes. He calls me back within 15 -20 minutes and says that the customers in the store are moving forward with the purchase. I ask all the questions; how did this happen, why can't I put a deposit down like the other person did, I have waited since Saturday and if they had gotten back with me when the first transaction fell through then I would have already had the vehicle purchased and I state how can they do this to a customer who they made arrangements with IN WRITING and not live up to them. He said he was really sorry at that point I asked for the General Manager. I spoke with Richard and told him what was happening and he stuck by his salesperson, all they had to do was go to the potential customer and let them know that they had a deal pending with a deposit (like they did to me on Saturday) and give me the courtesy of living up to their word. Given a chance to do that they chose not too. I was so incredibly disappointed. Richard called back later and stated he couldn't find any similar 4Runners at that price point in their network of dealerships and offered me a Red 2013 Explorer for the same price, I appreciated the offer but I wanted a 4Runner and I should have had a 4Runner based on the arrangements that were made. If your looking for a dealership with integrity and honor this is NOT the one. read more

We decided to purchase a 2015 F150. Several dealerships had the exact model that we wanted but North Central Ford had the color. We arrived at our appointment time but the sales person was not there. A lady offered to show us the truck while we waited for the sales person that we originally came to see. We didn't really have any loyalty to any person in particular, I had gone in the Saturday before and took someones card. Anyway, we went for a test drive. Felicia went with us. She was very pleasant and in the nicest way possible asked if there was a possibility that we would buy the truck today or were we still researching. I respected that approach because it didn't feel like we were being pressured to buy. Once we got to the negotiation stage of the purchase we were a little disappointed that the starting price they came to us with was not the advertised price. I figured that was just the procedure and after a few trips to the sales managers office we were able to get the price we wanted, as well as the price we wanted for our trade in. Not one time did we feel pressured or any of the stress that can occur in the typical car purchase. The finance manager was wonderful. He was able to reduce the interest rate even further. If I had any complaints it would be that I wish we could have been shown more of the features with the truck however a storm was about to blow in. Also, our payment was supposed to start 45 days after the sale but instead it was submitted with the first payment being due in 30 days. These are minor picky things in my opinion, not enough to change my mind about this particular dealership. I bought a used 2008 F-150 in Jan. 2018. This is my third auto purchased at North Central. My son and daughter also bought their new car there. I was told that all the used trucks and cars were checked out. In less than 3 months, the engine broke down. They wanted to charge me $100 to diagnose the problem. I live 75 miles away and had no way of getting the truck to them. I had a Ford Dealership in Decatur inspect the engine and was told that there were 3 bad cylinders not getting any compression. Worn valves and piston rings. Engine is totaled and recommended buying a new engine for $11,000. I am 71 yrs. old and had to buy another truck after wasting $13,000 on the one they sold me. I called just to let them know. It seems no one can get close to the person in charge. All I know is his name is Richard and the the people under him are too afraid to make decisions. Our family will never buy another car from North Central ever again. My advise...don't believe anyone there that sells used cars and trucks. When they say the auto has been checked out, take it elsewhere for a diagnosis to see what they are hiding. read more

regretted i made a business with this dealership!i bought 2011 Ford Explorer on Aug 17 2018 a week ago started raining in my city and noticed that the vehicle leaking water from the roof and the back of the car is terrible now as shown in the pictures!i sent them email if they can do something to fixed it because looks like a manufacturing defect.a guy called me and said did you buy it from us? I said yes then he transferred me to the person who sold me the car his name TD and his manager Billy ,TD told me come by to make trade in (to make me pay more)i said are you able to fix it for me i just bought and the car is destroyed now!after i sent him my pictures he said (sorry about the car and am sure they can fix it)and TD said that he called the service and gave me a number to make appointment,i did what he told me and drove 55miles when i got there he told me that he can not help me with any thing!he said let's make a trade in!!! You have to be really careful with this dealership! This has to be the most UNSCRUPULOUS car dealership I have ever dealt with in my life. No wonder they have such a large number of negative reviews. Their practice is to bait and switch. Bait you into signing on the dotted line with all sorts of promises and no delivery. They also will seek out a higher interest rate for you even if you have great credit because they are probably getting something out of the higher interest rates. BUYER BEWARE!! Know what your credit score is and the interest rate you are going to pay, they will tell you that the interest rates aren't important as though you were born yesterday. I didn't fall for it because this determines your overall payoff and not just your monthly loan payment. They will also undervalue your trade in and will make promises and then screw things up so badly that they can't keep their end of the deal. This is really a bad dealership so I tell you to shop around first and foremost and if you do decide to go with them go with your eyes completely wide open, know your credit score and what interest rate is the limit for you. If anything, and I do mean anything, is promised to you, get it in writing first. If not you can bet that you won't get what you were told you'd get. I will never do business with them again. Nightmare. Luckily for me, there was a nice Honda dealership down the road. When I didn't like the Hondas I was test driving, the salesman drove my friend and I to the unfortunate Ford dealership. He dropped us off there after introducing us to Carlos- our new zero-personality-zero-questions-answered salesman. I test drove (without having spoke 5 words to Carlos...) a 2013 Escape. I wasn't thrilled about it or the price but I talked to Josh, the used cars manager, anyway. We talked about nonsense for a while (including how many awards this dealership has won...) until he "ultimately decided" the price could go no lower. Not interested. To everyones total surprise... I got a call the next with a lower price offer. A couple of days later, I looked at a Carfax for the Escape. I called Josh immediately to question the RECALL that I had not been told about. He promised it that it was an easy fix- ONE DAY MAX- and it's no problem. Idiotically, I bought the bullshit and bought the car. In cash. I am a sucker. Lesson learned. I brought the car back a few days later to drop it off for ONE DAY MAX. They gave me a Ford Focus to drive for the ONE DAY MAX repair. Three days later I had not heard a thing from North Central Ford. I called them to find out what was happening. They informed me that the part needed was on back order and it would be one week. Fine. Later that day I go to get gas because of the fact that they sent me all the way back to Dallas with 1/4 tank and after driving for 3 days, it was gone. I paid a mere $10 cash to the gas station attendant and began the every day easy process of pumping gas. To my surprise, there was some kind of plug lock on the tank. Panic stricken, I sat there reading the owners manual, calling friends that have Focuses, letting other people attempt to HELP ME PUMP GAS... ridiculous. I gave it up, got my $10 and drove home. I called the dealership and they told me to bring the car back... to Richardson from Dallas. I agreed. After joking and taking things lightly, I confessed I HATED that Focus and couldn't believe they sold those things. They gave me another Focus to drive home. Fast forward another week- no sign of North Central Ford. When I finally call they let me know that the part is on back order until almost July but they would be happy to have me drive the loaner Focus back to Richardson and they'll shuttle me to Enterprise to rent a car. ABSOLUTELY NOT. I demanded my money back for a permanent or better replacement for what I had just purchased. They told me that was impossible to get my money back because it had been more than 3 days but they'll be happy to put me in a comparable car, like a new Focus... 1) The car should have NEVER been up for sale with a recall like that. 2) The salesMEN (all two of them that I worked with...) should have mentioned it, not me having to research myself. 3) They had no information on anything, no knowledge of anything. 4) They offered me a brand new Focus in exchange for the Escape.... 5) They inconvenienced me beyond the average person's tolerance. 6) They took no responsibility for what they had done. 7) They offered me a brand new Focus. 8) They offered me a brand new Focus. 9) They offered me a brand new Focus. In the end I went to Five Star Ford in Plano. JC (internet sales) basically let me trade in the VIN for the 13 in order to purchase a beautiful 2012 Escape from them. They were wonderful, even went to pick up the car themselves when the car was finished (early.) North Central Ford will do anything to sell you a car- including sending you off in an explosion hazard without warning. Super good dudes. Yesterday I got a post card that my plates were in. They aren't even on top of things enough to know that I don't own that car anymore and haven't for several weeks. If you're in the market for a lemon, or to be taken advantage of or to just spend a lot of time commuting to get things right with your new purchase- North Central Ford is your mecca. I was looking for a specific vehicle and searched the state in hopes to find one with all the features, colors, etc. I was interested in. I found it on this dealerships website. After asking a few questions, I was told the vehicle had not been seen by the service department, as it was a fresh trade-in. When asked why it was listed as a CPO vehicle already, it was then admitted they always put pictures up and advertise a vehicle prior to service inspection. Although this signaled a few red flags, I proceeded with financing via online. They pride themselves for being an award winning dealership, so how could I go wrong, right? I got the green light for financing and arrangements were made for purchase. The night before travel, I was told the vehicle had unforeseen recalls and could not be sold. While I understood and appreciated the reasoning, I asked how to best resolve the dilemma. I was told they have hundreds of vehicles to choose from and to pick some options I'd be happy with so I could see them the next day. I found a few via their website and drove up the next morning at 4am, ensuring I'd be there upon opening by 8:30am, as discussed with the sales person the night before. I spent some time looking at the vehicles I expressed interest in, only to later be told there was only ONE vehicle I could leave in. Granted, the vehicle was a reputable brand and low miles, but it was not a vehicle I had shown interest in nor did it have many features I desired. Obviously, I was puzzled to be told this and it was explained that they were enforcing very strict guidelines as to what my options were, but failed to mention any of this prior to my decision to drive there. Basically, their approach was to take this one or leave it - and no, they will not negotiate pricing on that vehicle nor any other vehicle on the lot, despite the circumstances in which I had endured. After showing disappointment and hesitation, suave coercive tactics were used to convince me it was the right choice. I felt obligated to follow through and made the 4 hour drive back home after sitting in the dealership for almost 8 hours. After giving it much thought (and reading MANY poor customer reviews), I decided to contact management indicating I was dissatisfied with the way the situation was handled from start to finish. Luring me to their dealership by giving false information and/or lack of information was not acceptable and I felt sales/management should have been honest about their intentions prior to my arrival. Perhaps then I could have made a clear decision whether or not to move forward and make the trip since financing had already been agreed upon or if I should start over in my search. In my initial complaint to management, I stated reimbursement for the trip totaling 385.94 miles should be made and facilitation with my local dealership to fix a fog light broken prior to sale, despite the initial instruction to handle this at my own expense. Management agreed to facilitate the repair, but has yet to provide confirmation this has actually been handled, leaving me only to assume the situation is a very low priority to them, rather than being eager to satisfy a disgruntled new customer. My perception at this point is they lack the ability to own up to their mistakes and do right by their customers. The salesman working with me in the beginning dropped the ball and admitted shortly after my arrival to a colleague, he was "too embarrassed to introduce himself", so I was handed off to another. This leads me to believe he knew his pitch to lure me there was under complete false pretense and did not know how to rectify the situation on his own without being frowned upon by management. My inexperience on car buying was their financial gain that day, but I have definitely learned not to be so naive in the future. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone and advise those with limited car buying experience to do more research than I did prior to purchasing a new or used vehicle. read more

I was overwhelmed with the patience and expertise that Roy showed both my father and I. My father is a blue oval mechanic in another town and was not able to service my car and this was my first experience having to tow a car in to be worked on and I was very worried, but Roy put us both at ease and made my service experience AMAZING. I've had several vehicles serviced here, the service people are friendly enough but I've found that after a few months when you call back they usually aren't there anymore and there usually aren't many familiar faces when I arrive. I guess I would just prefer a little more consistency in the personnel to build the trust and relationship with them that makes you feel more at ease when having to have your car worked on. Prices have always seemed fair, waiting area is nice and clean, I've had to take the shuttle home a few times and they were very timely and friendly. read more

I walked inside and stood in front of someone's desk for 2-3 min before anyone even spoke to me. I observed at least 4 people working at their desks without any customers who never asked if I had been helped. At least 2 service people walked around me to get outside and never said hello or anything. I believe a manager walked by and finally asked me if I had been helped. He asked a few people who could help me and they all reluctantly said they would be with me in a few minutes. Finally got my car in for an oil change and he told me it would be an hour to an hour fifteen tops. I sat in the lobby for an hour 45 without any update before I finally went to find someone to ask. Of course they let me know that it was finishing up and they would have me out in a few minutes. 15 min later and I'm still in the waiting room with no update. I normally drive 20 min out of my way to go to a ford dealership in Dallas but decided to try one closer to my house. Not worth it. read more

I took my truck for regular check up. After I left there I noticed very soon they left the engine hood open! It is not big deal when you drive slowly on the streets but is dangerous on the highways with high speed. Anyhow I closed the hood and I called the service manager to prevent this case in future. After shopping for 2 weeks at another dealer my dealer found what I wanted at NCF. Went to go look at my $50k truck, NFC decited to withdraw the dealer trade and try and and snake the sale for themselves. After I explained that I was a loyal. Customer of Bob tomes ford, they flat out told me the truck is not for sale and they would not trade with another dealer and loose a sale. Also said that they are about numbers and that doent fall in favor of the customer.- yes they really said that. Just really glad the Bob Tomes Ford in Mckinney will do what ever it takes for the customer. This review was writen 8 hrs after I was there, thus this is not an "off the cuff" review. At 46 years of age, I have to state this has been my worst buying experience ever. Let me be clear, I am probably the most optimistic person I know and I have never wrote a negative review in my life, As a Pastor starting a non-profit to assist formerly incarcerated individuals to find work, I needed a minivan to transport these individuals. As a nonprofit, I had little money to make mistakes. I chose not to purchase anything from the smaller side dealers and thought it would be worth the little extra to purchase from a larger reputable dealer. I search for months in the greater Houston area. Not finding much I branched out to the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. I saw a Ford Windstar that caught my eye at North Central. I talked extensively with the salesperson over the phone about the vehicle for about two weeks. With assurance I was informed that this is the vehicle to buy. I then flew to Dallas to purchase the vehicle. I inspected the vehicle to the best of my mechanical ability and noticed the radiator resevoir was horribly brown. The sales person brought a mechanic over who took the vehicle into service but returned shortly and stated it just needed flushing. The sales person took me to autozone and I purchased the product for which the mechanic flushed the system. During the paperwork process, I was brought into the office to sign the finance paperwork. I asked them why have I been waiting for over four hours when I had already been financed with my credit union. They informed that their financing was better. IT WAS NOT! I then informed them I wasn't here to finance but to buy. I found out later that autodealers often get points or kickbacks of some sort for financing customers. Not sure about that. I finally left NCF to drive the 4 hours back to Houston at about 7 in the eve (6 hours after initially arriving). An hour into the drive, the entire brake light system turned on so I immediately pulled over and called the salesperson and asked if I should return. He eventually called me back and said the mechanic said it would reset after turning the vehicle off. It did so I preceded to Houston whereby the lights came on again. A week later the vehicle severely overheated. Taking it to a mechanic to get the over heating and the braking system examined, he informed me the head gasket was blown, the radiator was corroded and possible water pump. I notified NCF for which they offered 500.00 on a 1200.00 overheating problem and nothing on the brakes (another 1157.00). I got the complete intake system done along with a new radiator but could not afford the water pump. The vehicle continued to overheat when the ac was turned on so I decided to then take it to Joey Meyers Ford. They said the water pump was failing and needed to be replaced. While Joey Meyers Ford really tried hard to work with me to repair the vehicle at little gain to them, I just couldn't afford it any longer. I then called NCF and offered to return the vehicle and get something else. They said it was after the 3 day return policy and couldn't accept it for which I said "I would have returned it when I was an hour outside of Dallas if it wasn't for the salesperson telling me it's ok" They did apologize but said it's a used vehicle but agreed to give me 1000.00 for the van and sell me something else. That deal would have left me 4000.00 in the hold as I still owed 2300 for the van not to mention another eight hour drive to turn it in to them. After much regret, and needing to move on, I sold it to a mechanic taking a 3000.00 (total) loss and delaying moving forward with our nonprofit. This has been a major nightmare. I agree it was a used 3600.00 vehicle and NEVER expected it would drive or perform like a new ford, however I would have thought that such a reputable dealership would allow their rep to be tarnished for what amounted to so much for me but, but literally pennies for them. On the positive, they appeared genuinely disheartened at my situation but (lol) not enough to do much about it. I believe that their are dozens, if not hundreds of people that have had success with NCF, I just am not one of them. read more

It was rather painless experience until I got my paperwork and discovered I was bamboozled by the finance guy. It all starts with what a great price for this great car, so you think, then you go into the finance guy who has all the paperwork prefilled in for you. He even knows you are going to accept all these needles options, as there is already an X in the accept box of each of these items. I am talking about products they put on the car, but they are invisible, things like PHAMPTOM FOOTPRINTS, $259.00, then there is PERMASKIN, a clear coat, so you really can't say for sure if they actually put this stuff on the vehicle, $329.00, Then there is GAP coverage in the event you total your vehicle and the insurance amount is less than your payoff. How could this be a winner for someone who puts down 50% on the vehicle and in fact told the finance guy that he was planning on paying the loan off in 6 months? why would any want that under that situation? If the finance guy is a finance guy, then publicly respond to this with your justification of needing a GAP coverage when 50% down payment on the vehicle was made, and your were told of my intentions on paying the vehicle off in 6 months. Now is your chance to put me in my place. Anyways, $653.00 for GAP cancellation coverage. Next, Easy Key care, you loose your key, they will replace it for free. $329.00. I probably would have jumped onto that one, as I have experienced loosing a key or two over the years. But, for their tactics, I am canceling it anyways. They could have made money honestly, but instead, they are greedy and just try to take everything they can from everyone knowing only a few will really ever know. Then there is a DentCare program for which I have no paperwork on, but whatever that is, it was $674.00. Finally, the is the Vehicle Service Contract, or the extended warranty. It was never offered to me or suggested to me. That one I had noticed and I was told it is required for financing. He said don't worry, you can cancel it, but just wait 30 days before you do. That option was $2,027. So I acknowledge that I knew there was that in the deal, but none of the other slip-ins. So buyers beware, caveat emptor, because the car I thought I was bargaining for contained none of the aforementioned items or accessories were listed on the window sticker. But somehow, this invisible antitheft thing was installed on the vehicle while I must have been in the bathroom and probably occurring at the same time they were applying this clear coat protectant on my soon to be vehicle. They probably employ Invisible Man at the dealership to put on these invisible products. So the car listed at $23,000 was considered a fair value for the vehicle, but when you add $4,272 in crap, that is considered a good day for the dealership. It has been 16 days since I have sent off these request for cancellations and they received them on December 2, 2014, yet they have failed to refund my money and have not even acknowledge receipt of the cancellations from me and letting me know that they are working on it. For that reason, I am making everyone aware that as I now know, you don't have to accept these little warranties and insurances for financing. Make sure you sit there and read every word of what you are signing. Because of that, I have spent $45.00 in postage for signature confirmations on cancellations notices, and I am paying interest on $4,272 of crap I wasn't even told about, except for the extended service plan, but only after I discovered it. read more

My 4th new ford truck over the past 25years.Loyal Ford guy . The service I received at North Central Ford was a JOKE and here's why My 2014 F-150 5.0 with 34K miles had bad spark knock/less horse power and reduced mileage when I took it in . Report came back stating large carbon build up on all cylinders , wrong spark plug gap on 5 plugs.. Ford replaced all 8 plugs and did nothing to clean or to fix the bigger problem of why I had excessive carbon build up which I shouldnt have with only 34k miles .When I asked the service Rep about what was done with the carbon build up and what will keep it from happening again he stated I should replace plugs often and that I could buy add fuel treatment that are made to reduce carbon build up should the symptoms come back .hence the JOKE statement I made earlier in this review. With my warranty running out in 2 thousand miles I beat NCF hopes the symptoms don't return before then . If dealerships gets paid back from he factory for warranty issues why wouldn't they fix the problem instead of losing loyal customers? This hurts the Ford brand more so than any one dealership don't you think? read more

Can't say that my experience was bad, but really just a waste of time. Fortunately for me, not a lot of wasted time. Came in to look at a used car for my son. We found one we liked and test drove it. I made an offer which the salesman promptly took back to the whoever has to bless the deal. After 10-15 minutes (mobile phone have made this much more tolerable) of waiting I got the sales manger that said that they do not negotiate the price of cars under $10k, company policy. DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THIS DEALERSHIP. I will start by saying I was purchasing the vehicle from out of state, and so I had to ask relatives to take time out of their day to drive to the dealership and look at the car for me. Shortly afterwards, I agreed to buy the car. I spent time setting up insurance, and began the necessary steps with the Salesman, Hector Gomez, to buy the vehicle. At 10am the next morning, I was informed that the car sold to another customer. Little did I know, even after having agreed to purchase the car, it was still being shown to other customers--ridiculous! After speaking on the phone with the manager and verifying what was occurring, they informed me it was "standard business practice" to sell to a customer who is physically there in person over someone in another state--nevermind one who agreed to purchase the car a day prior. I was completely bewildered by this. They stood by this "business practice," which I view as wholly unethical, and deem them as an untrustworthy dealership with shady business practices. After spending several hours with Hector, I was awaiting further instructions to wire money to them (and consequently stopped searching for cars), and they sold the car behind my back. They gave the initial outward impression of being friendly and caring, but in reality were unethical, deceitful, and entirely self-serving. It was a significant waste of time, and I will not be granting them any business anytime in the future. read more

Get ready for a gouging and screwing on the price if you go to North Central Ford, I recently went there while experiencing vehicle trouble in Dallas and got my F-150 truck repaired and while they did get it repaired they charged me $ 355 for the same repair that I recently had done on the same truck for $ 162 at another Ford Dealership, (they both replaced different coil packs with the exact same Ford part #), I appreciate them getting me back on the road but I do not appreciate being taken advantatge of, I looked the previous invoice up when I got home and discovered the huge $ 193 extra charge by North Central, I was in a bind at the time and had the repair done as I am from out of town about 120 miles away. North Central charges : $ 118 diagnosis, 69.99 install coil pack, 126.50 for # 3L3Z12029BA coil pack., $ 28.20 Misc. Shop Charge , 12.77 tax = $ 355.46 total Other Ford Dealership charges: $58.50 diagnosis, $16.68 install coil pack, $82.06 for # 3L3Z12029BA coil pack, $ 5.13 tax = 162.37 total for a difference of 193.09 more at North Central Ford for the same repair on the same vehicle. read more

I was stranded in Texas after the Memorial Day Flash Floods, my Chevrolet Impala was totaled. I had been in the state for 5 weeks giving health care to a member of my family as I am a RN. I, my daughter and her husband went to N. Central Ford to look at a Ford Escape Ltd that was on their web site. We were shown the Carfax report that it had 1 owner, no accidents, no recalls and the all the repairs made. I purchased this car on 8/9/15 and drove home to Illinois on 8/12/15. 5 weeks after purchase I began to experience power steering failures. I took the car to my local Ford dealer. I called the Ford Motor Company Customer Relations Center who informed me that this vehicle had been recalled and serviced at N. Central Ford for this recall on 7/30/15 and suggested that I call the Service Manager and have the affected parts replaced (Case #CAS 7776904. I have called and called and emailed with no positive response. In fact, I was treated rudely. I am going to be 70 years old in a few weeks and believe that I was lied to at this dealership and taken advantage of because of my particular unfortunate circumstance of being stranded without an auto in Texas. read more

I took our '07 Expedition in for a diagnostic check to help identify the reason for the "jerk" or "missing" that was occurring during normal driving conditions. I agreed to the $138 diagnostic fee and was explicitly told that the fee would be deducted from the complete service ticket (free diagnostic) if we decided to have the work done at North Central Ford. If we decided not to have the service completed there, we would pay the $138 for the diagnosis and were free to complete the service at the mechanic of choice. It was diagnosed quickly through a computer check that we had 3 of 8 plugs misfiring and we needed to replace them as well and refresh the computer. The cost was $345 for the plugs and tune up and another $118 for the computer reset. If they broke a plug during removal it was another $99 per broken plug (max 3 or $297). However when I asked that I wanted any broken plug to ensure I was not being taken advantage of, they agreed and we hung up to complete the work. Within the hour I received another call from the service manager explaining the total cost was adding back in the original $138 from the diagnostic. When I questioned him to understand how that $138 was being added back into the total cost I did not get a straight answer and was told that since I picked a "menu item" the diagnostic would not be credited towards the total ticket since the menu item already has discounted rates. It became obvious at that point that they were not going to be able to increase the average ticket price with the $99 per broken plug because I wanted to see them and instead they were going to add back in the diagnostic fee of $138 to increase the ticket price. When I went to pick up the vehicle I asked for a better explanation and after 15 minutes I did not get one and when asked to speak to a manager was told that was not an option and even if I did speak to one, he would give me the same response. It was unfortunate to have this experience considering up to the shell game on the payment I had a good experience with quick diagnosis, an easy to understand fix and what I thought to be a reasonable approach to spending $138 up front for a diagnosis and the ability to get that credited if we had the work done there. If indeed this is standard practice at North Central Ford it should be explained at every chance, 1)upfront that the credit is not for "menu items" and 2)at the time of making a go/no go decision to have the work completed there. That may not have changed our decision for them to complete the work but the expectation and feeling of deceit would have been eliminated. Even after a poor explanation from my service manager and a request for someone else to explain it, I was not given that opportunity and actually told it would do me no good. Very disappointing and I would not recommend North Central Ford for service work because of the poor/deceitful communication and lack of customer service. read more

I went in to drop off my car on Thursday at 730am b/c it was making a screeching noise and to also take care of the recall. I wasn't aware that I no longer had coverage but did have extended warranty however it would be 100 deductible or if its not covered they would charge me 125 which after taxes and other things they added it came out to $146. Anyway I ended up calling dealership and explained I didn't have the funds and to just take care of the recall and to at least call me by 3pm if I have not heard from them because I would need a ride back. Well I called at 230pm and big surprise they never got around to my car. What annoys me the most is they didn't bother to call me to inform me. I am sure once I told them to just do the recall they just parked my car and left it alone. Then when I go to pick it up the young lady said it was in detail so I'm thinking yay at least they washed it but of course not so not sure why it was in detail perhaps that is where they parked it. Oh also I wasn't able to get my car until I signed off on paperwork and asked why I was doing that when they didn't do anything besides waste my time. Horrible service read more
