I had and continue to have a pathetic experience with this dealership and primarily with the hide and seek with respect to (somehow- I suspect fraud) inserting a $4,500 extended warranty in the contract- that I was never provided until days after the fact!! I had just got into a horrible care accident two nights before and told the tow truck driver to take my truck to the nearest Ford dealer- then two days later I go there because that is where my truck is-thinking I might get little love- nope- they did not care whatsoever. Finally I get into the finance office, where the guy there tells me that the actual company financing my purchase wants an additional $1,000- which was then converted into my "down pmt" The signing of documents happened in nano seconds, I was NOT given copies of anything I signed- (they cannot do that) but since I was tired, and still wondering about my injuries that (probably) totaled my truck, and I was not thinking clearly- but not permission to steal my money. As it sits, it is a daily struggle to get the FORTY FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS credited back/ refunded, and although I am now in possession of (flimsy) document regarding the refund, he told me today that the correction would not faciiitate my refund, and that the documents "could not be redrawn"+ so therefore my payment (which is about $200 more per month- "will not be adjusted- reduced" I have purchased many motorized vehicles over the years and while a few times they were practically begging me to take the extended warranty" I have always refused as it (my opinion) is a waste of money- and I don't need the amount I financed to increase by 17% read more

I got a nice used car. It had slight damage to inside door panel. Was told it would be fixed by them or the permaplane on all their used vehicles. After much run around permaplane wont do it and ford wouldnt do it without having it for days. I know, i never shouldve left without it fixed but i trusted theyd hold up their end. Don't be fooled by the service provided during the buying process as the follow-up customer service after you have purchased your vehicle is a complete 180 and non-existent. We will never do business with North Central Ford ever again. We hate writing negative reviews as sometimes people just have an off day, but we have 2 different instances in 2023 and 2025 that reflect their very poor customer service. We purchased a vehicle from North Central Ford in 2023. The initial buying process was good. It was a typical car buying experience and we would have shopped there again if we needed a new vehicle. We had a couple of things promised to us from the sales team, which was on the we owe/they owe statement. To get those things resolved, it took multiple calls and texts to at least 3 different people over the span of 2-3 weeks. It was exhausting and very frustrating. We figured maybe it was a glitch and North Central Ford doesn't typically operate this way. We may have still shopped at their dealership again even after that experience, because again we thought maybe it was just an off day. Unfortunately, over a year and a half later we had to relive the same frustration. We traded our Ford vehicle at a different dealership in 2025. From past experience, we know you normally contact the finance department at the dealership where you originally purchased your vehicle to cancel the service contract and get a refund on the remaining amount. The Finance department at the new dealership told us the same thing. They said Finance teams don't normally want to deal with it, but it is something we handle on a regular basis. We called North Central Ford and were told someone from the Finance team would call us back. To make a very long and frustrating story short, over a 3-week period we spoke with 2-3 sales people, left messages for 2 different people in the Finance department and left a voicemail for the sales manager who was supposed to work on having someone from the Finance team follow through. No one ever returned our calls. We understand submitting paperwork to get a refund on a service contract for a previous sale is not something Finance departments want to deal with, but it is part of doing business and working through these in a timely and professional manner is part of customer service. We are the kind of people who have bought 3 cars from the same salesperson, because we appreciated his customer service. This salesperson even worked at multiple different manufacturer dealerships and we still went to see him. We have also shopped at the same dealership multiple times due to loving their customer service even though they are 2 hours and 80 miles away from us round trip. We value customer service, but unfortunately that is definitely not something North Central Ford values. read more

Service department is clueless. Brought my 2023 F-150 in for recall, warranty work, oil change and a repair to my windshield washer not spraying. When service person first looked at problem said rodents had chewed through some wiring and fluid hose which we knew. Called several days later saying truck was ready for pickup. Drove to North Central Ford and before leaving parking lot I tried washer and it still didn't work, so went back to service dept. Service manager came out and said, looks like rodents chewed through the wires after you got home, apparently not realizing I hadn't even left the parking area, Lie #1. Then he tried to tell me it must have happened in their lot, Lie #2. Had every excuse in the world but to claim responsibility for their mechanics not doing their job. It even said on work order, rodents chewed through wiring, repaired, tested and was working, Lie #3. One service person tried to tell me it had happened to his vehicle 11 years s ago so apparently they haven't fixed their known rodent problem in 11 years???? So either North Central Ford has rampant rodent problems over the years or their mechanics are terrible and they are trying to cover their asses because of it. Regardless I would highly recommend going anywhere else but North Central Ford for service, at least till they hire better mechanics or hire the Pied Piper to come around to fix their rodent problems. read more

What car dealership is good? None, it's just a necessary evil. But I'm not giving 2 stars based on the salesman. In fact, the salesman is what bumped it up to 2 stars. We haggled, he used his best tactics, I used mine, I could've gotten a better deal but in the end I got a fine price for a good truck. Six years later, nothing terrible has happened. The only thing that was wrong when I bought it that none of us caught was that the air conditioning wasn't working at its best. Slightly cool air at best. But the worst part of the whole thing was that I walked in and told them I already had a credit union loan at 3%. Once the deal was done I waited almost an hour, from 4pm to nearly 5pm, for the numbers guys to come back with loan options at 6-8% in order for me to "get the car today". Well, because they wasted time until business close I couldn't secure the financing that day. And so instead because of the long weekend, I waited 3 days until I could get my truck. Because they think some idiot would choose a higher interest rate and "refinance" to my own lower one. Absolute crooks and an insult to humanity. Will never shop there again because of their finance department. read more

I had a disappointing experience with the sales process and sales associate Waseem here. I was asked by the salesperson what price I would be comfortable with on a vehicle. I responded with a reasonable out-the-door range, which is a standard way buyers evaluate total cost. The response I received was rude and defensive -- specifically stating, "No, no, no, no, no, I'm not paying your taxes and title for you," and refusing to even discuss an out-the-door number, despite being the one who asked for an offer in the first place. If a dealership is unwilling to have a transparent conversation about total pricing, then there is no point in asking a customer for an offer. Professional negotiation should involve clarity and respect, not dismissive responses. I ultimately chose to walk away due to the lack of professionalism and transparency. read more

I was sold a vehicle without the disclosure there was coolant issues- Mind you my coolant lines were completely gelled- When I called after 2 weeks of purchasing the car I was told -you have extended warranty use that.- I am out thousand's of $$ with no solution- my car is not fixable I have been turned away by other ford dealerships and advised to take it back to North Central Ford as they should not have sold the vehicle.- North Central Ford is refusing to reply to calls, or emails. I brought my Bronco to the Ford North Dallas dealership for some recall-related software updates. From the moment I arrived at the service area, not a single employee greeted me or asked if I needed help. Everyone just stared at me as if I was inconveniencing them. When someone finally did acknowledge me, his tone was incredibly dry and unwelcoming. While taking my information, he kept interrupting me, aggressively clicking his mouse as if I was a burden. He even said it wasn't important to have the correct information. I was told it might take up to 24 hours and that I'd receive a message when the vehicle was ready. 25 hours later, I still hadn't received a notification, so I called -- only to find out the vehicle had been marked as ready since the same day I dropped it off. When I went to pick it up, I was ignored again. I had to ask for help instead of being approached. On top of that, the complimentary car wash that comes with the service was terribly done -- the vehicle still looked dirty. Overall, I felt disrespected and unwelcome throughout the entire process. Purchased a vehicle from North Central Ford in Richardson in March 2025. The paper plates expired and when I inquired about the plates, I was told that there was a lien on the title from the previous owner that was preventing me getting plates. Currently on a 2nd set of temporary plates. This past weekend the car stopped working and I had it towed in for repairs. Their own inspection revealed "dry rotted" tires, poor brakes that need new pads and rotors and dirty oil in addition to bushing to shifter linkage damage. The vehicle was purchased as a certified used Ford less than 90 days ago. I've spoken with Kim in titles and the sales general manager (Kim Lewis) and they have not responded with updates. I sent an email this weekend and asked for them to make the $1700 repairs to the vehicle. No response. read more

He said he was fixing to go to lunch and Roy would take over .... I bought my vehicle from this dealership back on February 21, 2025, and it's been a complete headache from the very beginning. When we first contacted them, we were tossed around between several different salespeople and had to restart the process multiple times. It felt like no one was on the same page. Then, after finally agreeing to purchase the vehicle, they told our bank they would accept a wire transfer--only to change their minds at the last minute and demand a physical check instead. This was after everything had already been arranged. To make matters worse, we were traveling five hours to pick up this vehicle. Nothing about the experience was smooth or professional. After the sale, the problems only got worse. My temporary tags expired, and I contacted the dealership asking for new ones and an update on my metal plates. I was told they were waiting on the title from South Carolina. I figured it would be resolved soon, but weeks turned into months, and I had to follow up constantly--at least once or twice a week--just to get any kind of update. They eventually had to send a second set of temp tags, but the story was always the same: "We're still waiting on the title." Not once did anyone from the dealership proactively contact me. I had to chase them down nearly every day for four months. I even had to file a formal complaint with the DMV and notify my bank because they still hadn't provided the title. I was given the manager's personal cell phone number--but despite multiple texts, I never got a single response. Finally, on June 3rd, I contacted them and was told they had received the title and would be sending my plates. Keep in mind I was on my 3rd set of temp tags. They also said they'd call me as soon as the plates came in, which they never did. I finally received my tags after 4 months! This experience has been frustrating and unprofessional from day one. Between the poor communication, last-minute changes, and complete lack of follow-through, I would not recommend this dealership to anyone. read more

Beware of the vast regulatory risk of auto companies. They will bait and switch you on prices; the salesman will show you a paper that is a price that he offered you in writing, but later, a sales manager will tell you a different price (not in writing). This dealership violated many regulations in less than an hour: CARS Rule, UDAAP, and FCRA. Without going into all the details on Yelp beware of when dealing with this company. **Time wasting as I was selling my used car when I had other dealer appointments that morning. At least they gave me a cold water and were polite despite my frustration at their tactics.** I came here with an offer for my used car in hand from another dealer at the KBB appraisal price. I wanted to give North Central Ford a chance to make a better offer. I arrived at 10:29am for my 10:30 appointment, they took pictures for several minutes, took several more minutes to get me a water, and then said someone was "appraising it right now". At 10:50, I stood up and looked around for the rep who'd talked to me. Nowhere. I checked outside for my car. It wasn't there. I walked back in to ask about where my rep was. Then I walked to the glass windowed office where several men were sitting at desks, and asked "any idea why it's taking so long to appraise my car?" They seemed in disarray. I said "I need my car and key back. This is not that way to do things." Someone quickly found my key and followed me to the door. No explanation, no offer in hand, nothing, 23 minutes after an acquisitions appointment. I said "I have two more appointments. What you do, as a participating Kelley Blue Book quote purchaser, is check the quote, give the car a quick look to see if you want to go above or below that quote. It takes a few minutes to verify the information that I already told you. Not 25 minutes when I have other appointments. You're wasting my time." He said "okay, we have to look at everything to make sure it's as stated." I said "it only takes a few minutes. And now I'm going to have a bad feeling about your whole operation here at North Central Ford over a couple hundred dollars for a used car acquisition." I hit the alarm for my car and found it over on the SIDE of the building, with no one even pretending to appraise it. I then sold the car down the street to Lute Riley Honda, for $200 over the KBB price, and cancelled my other 3 appointments. When a dealer stalls on appraising a used car, always suspect this as a negotiating tactic. Of course they'll all say "we don't operate like that, we're honest" without changing their behavior. If they claim to be a KBB participating used car acquirer, then they shouldn't waste a car owner's time. read more

My wife and I purchased a used 2022 Ford Expedition from North Central Ford and were quite happy with the experience. We were informed the vehicle had been a rental and had a clean Carfax. It wasn't until we went to trade this vehicle for another that our purchased vehicle had been involved in a previous accident not reported to Carfax. Inspectors at the new dealer immediately noticed mismatched paint and inner wheel lining repair done poorly. At time of purchase this was not revealed (allegedly overlooked by North Central Ford personnel). We also purchased the extended warranty at NCF. We traded this vehicle, at the other dealer, and requested the unused portion of the extended warranty from NCF on 8/1/25. We were informed initially that it might take 5-6 weeks to process then when a follow up was done, it would take 7-8 weeks. Several phone calls with messages have gone unanswered to both Hector Gomez (finance guy) and dealership management. We are now 9 weeks into the process and I was finally able to speak with Mr Gomez 3 days ago who stated he had sent an email to their corporate people at Sonic Automotive to see the status of the matter. Surprise, surprise no follow-up to me. I understand this was a used vehicle that was purchased and the extended warranty was for our protection. With the majority of it being unused, a prompt refund was necessarily expected however neither was shitty customer service. My Car Was Wrecked/Damaged During an Oil Change Service I am a U.S. Army Veteran with two war deployments, Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. I share this so that people can understand that I live life with respect, honor, and doing the right thing. I chose my life in the military due to an overwhelming feeling of duty and service. I'd like to share the nightmare I've been experiencing at North Central Ford, in Richardson, TX. At the end of 2023, we decided to buy a new Ford Explorer. This was a huge deal because we hadn't had a new car for over 20 years. This was due to the many obstacles that we had to encounter after I came home from war, like sleepless nights and PTSD. It took a while before I could adjust to the norm and civilian life. We chose this location based on reviews, which are very important to me. 1st Disappointment: On Aug 2nd I took our Explorer in for a regular oil change. When I arrived, I was told it wouldn't take long and that I would be out quickly. After two hours of waiting, I spoke to a service rep only to find out they weren't close to being done. I was told it would take an additional hour to complete the oil change. I immediately informed them I couldn't wait long and had to head back to work. I was told that they would do their best to get me out as quickly as possible. I headed back to the lobby to wait. Miraculously, I was called up in less than fifteen minutes after I spoke with the clerk. This made me feel a bit uncomfortable because I had just been told that they needed another hour. I want to be honest and say that I don't believe my oil was changed that morning. 2nd Disappointment: On Aug 13th I made an appointment for a recall SYNC Software issue. The recall was for an instability that resulted in a black touchscreen. Since I learned my lesson the first time, I called ahead and asked to see how long it would take for the repairs. I was told that it could take two hours or two days. Unfortunately, the time changed when they looked at my vehicle. I was told that it was going to take up to five days. They were good about giving us a small car to get around. 3rd Disappointment: Late on August 14th, we received a call that the SYNC Software issue was fixed. We were so happy to get our new car back. On August 15th I arrived early at the dealership to pick up our Explorer. I sat in the waiting room for about an hour when a manager found me in the lobby and told me that there was an accident with our new car. I was completely taken back... I didn't understand what that meant. The manager explained that one of their porters, who was moving our car, accidentally backed into something, damaging our vehicle. I was told that they were going to have to take our new car to their body shop for repairs. I was also told that they would expedite the repairs and that it should not take more than a week for us to get our Explorer back. 4th Disappointment: On Aug 27th I received a phone call from the dealership explaining the procedures they would have to take to get our car looking new again. I was told they needed more time. The damage was extensive to the bumper, and they would have to completely replace it. The rear door would also have to be replaced because the hatch system was destroyed. Finally, they would have to order the paint so they could match our car. If it couldn't get any worse, I was told that the real issue was that none of the parts were there and that they did not know how long it would take for the parts to come in. ARE YOU KIDDING!!! For anyone who knows the time Ford dealerships are taking on parts right now... you know my frustration. To say I'm a bit disappointed is far from the truth. 5th Disappointment: Aug 29th, 2024, marks two weeks without our new vehicle, and I want to say this has been a nightmare with North Central Ford, in Richardson. I cannot believe that this location has the ratings they have. There is a lack of internal communication, pride in customer satisfaction, and a duty to make things right. Kept my car for a month, went joy riding in it and then when I pop up to come get my car now all of sudden I STILL have to sit here and wait on paperwork when that could of been done the day you went joy riding in my vehicle burning unnecessary gas and refusing to reimburse me for it. All I needed was a transmission replacement which was ONLY suppose to take no more than a week and half. I had a transmission replaced on a Ford a couple years back at a different location and that's EXACTLY how long it took and gave a me a loaner. But this location is filled with a few unprofessional people Been here 6:45am and they're now refusing to release my car to me, Roy has been walking around not doing any type of paperwork, standing around at the Parts Counter talking about sports and what not, doing everything other than this suppose paperwork in order for me to get my car when literally all of this could of been done yesterday the day he stated my car will be done. Actually scammed. I provided all the necessary paperwork prior to making the 3.5 hour drive to Dallas. Was advised that everything was finalized and to come down. I shared that I had to be quick because I have a dog at home who had surgery and can't be left for too long. I said if I come down I need all remaining paperwork to be ready to go immediately upon arrival. When I arrived I was told it would be less than 5 minutes which turned into 30 minutes. While the salesman and finance frantically are running back and forth. Then someone else comes out and says the deal wasn't done and they could not grasp the concept that I have three homes across the country and I can register it at any of them. My drivers license is valid and expires in 3 days but I provided them with the temporary one from the dmv along with my real ID which both are valid. They can look up In system that my license is valid. And my new license is in the mail, but my current license is still fully valid. I also provided all this information via email prior to arrival and they stated all documents received, approved and good to go. No one could even look me in the eye and they sheepishly said they won't do the deal and the salesman literally ran away. Never apologized and no one provided a real answer and there was no reason why for any of this. No there isn't any missing pieces to the story or more to the story. They are shady liars who literally told me a lie to come down knowing it was a 3.5 hour drive and lied to me about it being ready to go. Please do not take your business here. Four weeks later & the car is still in the service department without any fixes. They do not communicate with us or the warranty company unless we make contact & even then, it's grossly delayed. If you own an F450, this is NOT the place to take your truck. They will work hard to sell you an F450, but fail to mention they are not set-up to do anything other than an oil change. They charge you for the full cost of the "Works", but only did the simple oil change. They sent me to a local tire shop to get a proper tire rotation of the DRW with 19.5 wheels, and the shop scratched 3 of the OEM polished aluminum wheels in the process, so now I have to deal with that issue. I will not be returning to this location to have my truck serviced again. Also got a follow up call from the Service Advisor that was more worried about his "bonus" that was tied to my bad review, than the damage caused by the tire shop the HE sent me to. I scheduled an appointment for a recall and no one ever mentioned to me my truck would have to stay overnight. When I called to ask about my truck "JIM" stated I should of know it would take a couple of days to resolve a recall and I should of known when I dropped it off. NO ONE ever mentioned it to me and i took the shuttle to work. He said my profile had the wrong number and they did call which is NOT TRUE when i mentioned to him I received a text in the morning all he said was WELL WE ARE VERY BUSY! My truck sat in there all day and nothing was done to it. I believe they just decided not to work on it. What is the point of scheduling an appointment? How many one review does it take for people to get that business like these need to change. This is my first Ford that I own and will be my last. Here's my story. FORD (Found On Road Dead) - I brought my 2012 Ford Focus to my family mechanic which I trust and used for years. They diagnosed my car and told me the issue and recommended that I bring it in to Ford dealership due to the fact that it is still under warranty. The honesty from a small family owned business that didn't charge me for diagnose fee vs a crook corporate. I called NCF and the service advisor (Andrew Carr) said that there will be a $159.99 fee for diagnostic and if it does turn out to be the warranty issue then there will be no charge. But to prevent being charge the $159.99 he advice that we bring it in the next morning so he can verify and confirm before he send it to his tech. He also said he get several cars with the same issue a week so I appreciated the advice thinking that he thought for us and try to save us unnecessary charges and that he will take a look with his device to do a quick scan and read the error code or something. NOPE, I brought the car in the next morning and showed him the error code along with the warranty paper that Ford has put out for my car model. Mr. Carr didn't bother to look at the warranty and started research something up on his computer. He then said "it doesn't look like it will be cover but he can have the tech to double check". He said if it's under warranty then there will be no fee to diagnose but if it's not then it will be a $198 to diagnose. I thought you said $160 over the phone yesterday I asked. He mumbled something and all I could pick up was "price must had gone up". I'm telling you, they are crooks and they only look after themselves and their commission. They act like they care so you can fall for their dishonest behavior. Anywho, several days later they sent me a text and nailed me with $2,416.83 to fix a clutch which was the same thing my family mechanic had told me. But Mr. Carr insist that it is not under the warranty. Hell to the no. I came and paid the diagnose fee and they charge me $170 for diagnose and $25.63 for (customer pay shop charge for repair order). Uhhh they did not repair anything on my car but yet charge me for this service? I asked the cashier and she said "it's being charge across the board. If you bring your car in the shop it's an auto charge. " Oh did I mention they offer free car wash and when they returned the car guess what? It's not clean and the worker that return the car told me next time when I'm in the area, just bring it by and they will wash it. Please I'm begging y'all.
