I bought a 2013 Ford Explorer there a few weeks ago. I love it and the whole process was so easy!

My truck sat in their lot for a week. No one called to notify me of its status. It just sat there. I know the diesel department gets backed up, that's why I schedule to drop it off when I'm going to be out of town. The supervisor would not help with a similar size rental so that I could do the things I needed to do while they finally fixed my truck. There is a reason I have a truck. There was zero customer service. I will not be back to this dealership. This was the second time this had happened, but the first time the service rep lied about needing a part. He finally told the truth when he couldn't answer my question. And had the same issue with the rental. read more

Electronic throttle body went out and my car was left in a low speed mode. I didn't even call before I came in and they were extremely helpful in all aspects. Russell asked me what happened and I told him. I also asked if I could have an oil change and a tire rotation. This last minute request when everyone else is making reservations was completed on the same day! The shuttle driver (forgot his name) was extremely personable and was great company as he drove me to work that day. All around wonderful experience! I will be back for sure! read more

if i could give this place a negative star i would i went to north central ford to buy a radiator cap $21.00 for my f250 .when i got to counter this girl i wont call her a lady she ask me slide my card in then she turns around goes to key box an employee needed some keys she comes come back says remove your card try again OK no big deal it was interlink pay couldn't see the amount i did that my card declined! i knew i had money in my account so went ahead used my other card and paid for the cap so i walking to my truck and i get text from my bank she charged me on my debt it card the first card $ 1656.18 * i went back in to her she charged me over $1600 for that cap that cost $21.00 she said she void it i ask to speak with general manager they directed me to someone else mr. brian weiss he said he was sorry it should be refunded gave me his cell phone number i felt i just paid $1600 for a cell number i went back out side sat in my truck in shock for hour wondering what to do how to tell my wife well i called my bank my bank said its posted not pending! so they called there merchant north central ford . and they told me it was pending it will drop off midnight maybe ? Friday night it didn't .could be next week so all my charges i had pending and doing my thing with my bank card are not going through and i still need to do Christmas i cant do ! they did all they could except give me my $1600 back it cause a chain reaction on my bank account bad ! real bad! the counter girl should told me im srry i just charged you 1600.00 then i void it . let me get somebody help before we go any further? but she didn't ! she didn't say anything she knew she charged me 1600 so dishonest !!!! she represents north star ford so my bank says wait till Monday if moneys not in your account file a claim with my bank so be careful when you shop there! The service was god and the service attendant was very good and the time of service was real good.

So so experience - 2nd time to have my auto serviced out. Not sure if they are understaffed or what the issues are but level of care of customer service falls short in my opinion. I had to return to the dealership to have them re- set the digital readout from their service check and to have my outdated inspection sticker removed which they forgot as part of the inspection process. They did not remove all of the sticker so I had to use glass cleaner at home to fix this. I called ahead and was quoted 39.95 for service but when I got to the dealership it was 79.95. Possibly an error and overall not too bad but just not a clean deal. Also they did not use any seat or foot papers as I am accustomed at other dealerships. Not impressed. read more

This is a BIG complaint. I made a service appointment to have align the wheels on my brand new F150 (I mean brand new, a hassle already), I was told that it would be done in less than 2 Hrs. I then dropped my truck in the morning and took a shuttle to work,and hoped that it would be ready by noon so I could drive to get lunch. Not only wasn't done, but after I called at 5:00pm I was told that the work wasn't done and had to leave the truck over night, so I was left without a car to go home and without warning. After jumping through hoops to get to places, you know, like work, I really hoped the truck would be ready by noon the next day so I could get lunch this time around. But nope, I missed lunch again and what's worse I was told that the technician had to leave and the truck wasn't fixed and I had to get it back. Two days without my vehicle, no work done! When I picked my truck up, I tried complaining to the Manager, guess what? After waiting for over 30 minutes I had to give up and leave back to work, being ignored once more. Lies lies lies. We made an appointment to get an oil change on my work truck. I explained the truck model and size to the person on the phone. They assured me it would be no problem. I came in on my off day to get it taken care of only to be turned away at the door. They also tried to convince me my brand new truck needed a tire rotation at 6500 miles. Yeah no. F550 doesn't need one for many more miles. Disrespectful staff. Incompetence all around. I took my truck to another Ford dealer equally equipped who took the time to change the oil. I guess these guys just didn't want to get their hands dirty. read more

I took my F150 in for servicing on Saturday 2/24/18. I met Ronnie Ralph your assistant service manager. I saw a letter in his work area thanking him from the company for 20 years of service. Wow! I knew I had the right person to help me. I waited for the repairs to be done and the team had my truck ready in no time. There was a small issue that came up and he stepped up, admitted the mistake, and took care of the problem. I can recommend North Central Ford for maintenance, very professional people. I spent close to a couple grand with this service department over A 60 day time period and it became obvious the Service rep and the service managers point of view is the customer creates the bad experience at their shop and they can do nothing wrong. I had brakes put on that to this day, months later still squeak. I've been told if I'd bought the premium pads they wouldn't squeak. I promise you folks I paid a premium ( I've price compared since) and if I'd been offered an upgraded pad I probably would have bought after hearing the features and benefits vs the other, learn how to give your customer the complete solution! I bought tires, waited nearly 3 hrs for them to be installed only to realize the same rep as the brakes order the wrong brand. I didn't even mention it, just got in my Explorer and left. I've since made two attempts to contact the service manager and have not received a call back. Service industry as a whole is much different than 20 years ago, but even with that being said this is a place that truly couldn't care less due to the population of the area and the brand they will always have customers and that seems to be their philosophy. read more

Terrible management and customer service owned by corporation so all they care about is quantity instead of quality. If you have an issue with management there's no higher level that cares about your treatment I was even yelled at by the sales manager for trying to speak with salesman in the sales office reviewers decide if this is a kind of dealership you want to buy from. Waited almost 2 hours for a $39.00 oil change and tire rotation. I had asked for an State inspection as well, but that was not done, nor was the car washed which would have been even longer. The Ford dealership in Mckinney does everything within 50 min to an hour. I wont be coming back read more

WISH I COULD GIVE THIS PLACE ZERO STARS! this dealership is the reason car salesman get a bad reputation. I am in the car business, and I wouldn't send my my worst enemy here. They sell trucks and cars that have no business being sold at a dealership. My brother bought a truck here not even 9 months ago. It has broken down no less than 5 times. Numerous issues going on with this thing starting just a couple weeks after it was bought. We have both contacted the dealership on numerous occasions to no avail. They sold the truck and now bc its of their lot it's not there problem. Well they are strongly mistaken. I am in the business and I know the laws. It gets better though, I ran the truck and it has been wrecked and when they sold him the vehicle they never disclosed it had been wrecked, nor did he sign the carfaxs sheet. On top of that sold him a warranty that was never good bc of aftermarket parts on the truck. Which they knew. Then had to go around and round just trying to get the money refunded on that. I will be taking to google, yelp, fb and more to get these guys to admit they did wrong and buy this truck back or my brother and me will be taking legal action against the dealership. That simple. BUYERS BEWARE! STEER CLEAR OF THIS DEALERSHIP. There is so many dealerships in the DFW area that actually value the business they get. Don't end up having to deal w a situation like this. read more

My spare tire does not belong to my truck and I have a 2015 3 month old truck!!!!!!! I went into North Central Ford about 3 weeks ago because I had gotten a large nail in my tire and had to use my spare to replace the tire. I drove around with my spare tire for about 3 days until the dealership could get me in for an appointment to replace my tire. I took it in on the 4th day and they fixed me all up and put the spare tire back in its place under my truck. Today, Wednesday, Sept 2nd, I'm on the road traveling to Florida! I drive out about 2-3 hours and get a low tire message on my dash. I pull over and put air in. Drove again for 40 minutes and got the low tire message again. Come to find out, the valve stem is broken so the air is not staying in. I have to replace the tire! I take the spare off to replace and guess what?????? The spare DOES NOT BELONG TO MY TRUCK, the rim is too big!!!!! So now I'm stuck in the middle of nowhere!!! I have found a tire shop that will open at 8am in the morning so now I'm parked waiting, mind you its 9:50pm on Wednesday night. How the heck do you mess up on putting a spare tire back on the CORRECT TRUCK!!!! All this would of been ok if I would of had a spare that fit!!! This is NOT COOL!!!! North Central Ford will be hearing an ear full from me in the morning and again when I get back in town! Now I'm having to delay my vacation and loss of days for the beach house I rented! Service Dept is a joke. I Bought a new car but wont take my car there for a single service item unless it's warranty work. Can't do a simple oil change or a tire change in less than an hr even with an Appt. Shuttle service is a hassle at best to get back and forth since they are located in the middle of Richardson off of 75, the worse traffic area in North Dallas. I don't understand how a company of that size can't do a simple service job with an appt inside an hr. An oil or tire change at any other auto repair place is capable of doing so. read more

I was very disappointed with the sales staff at North Central Ford. I contacted them about a truck they were advertising and asked them to verify the price. Not only did they acknowledge the price was right but they even sent their Sonic" Price via email to confirm. Before I made the trip to Dallas(5 hours away) I wanted to get a quote on my trade in to make sure I was not wasting my time. I sent the pictures and all the information requested of me. This is when they started to stall and stopped responding. Then when they finally started to respond they try to get me in a different truck. Next thing I see, they jacked up the rate of the truck I originally contacted them on and then would not honor their "Sonic" price. Finally, they have the nerve to try to get me to buy one of their used vehicles that does not even come close to what I was looking for. What a joke! Don't trust anything they put in writing or let alone anything they say. They blow a lot of smoke and don't treat their potential customers with any respect. Pretty sad way of doing business. They didn't show me any features of the FORD TAURUS nor were they polite in handling the transaction. It was like I was doing them a favor. Went in on Saturday just to look. I had already decided on a VW Beetle but was forcing myself not to get the first car I liked. We get out, walk past a couple of used cars and spot a beautiful Infinity in the used lot. Enter our salesman. He walks up, introduces himself as Tyler, and we discuss test driving the car. He runs in grabs the keys and offers to sit in the back. The back seat has NO foot room but he cheerfully sits back there.....this guy is somewhere over six feet tall. No way was he even close to comfortable. Then we get back and I want to look at other cars. He walks us around and I zoom in on Mustangs. For the price of the fully loaded Beetle I could get a fully loaded Mustang? We test drive not one but two, poor guy crammed into the back again. Never complained. Great personality goes a long way. I have noticed when you go into a place like a car dealership dressed down (sweats) they tend to give you less service....if anyone helps you at all. I guess they assume you are poor? Not here. There was not one person that made us feel like we were anything but VIP's. There were long waits on signing paperwork, etc...but they were busy. I saw some people absolutely losing their minds and being downright hateful to the sales people and they just tried to do any and everything to make the people happy. I was impressed. As a business owner I can recognize good service. I wanted to chew those people out and they were not even talking to me....but they were nice as could be through it all. The guy that did our paperwork Kevin was a great guy too. Great personality. Between the customer service, kind people, great car we couldn't be happier. When you go, ask for Tyler on the used side. He can help you with new cars too. If we buy Ford in the future that is the only place we will go. read more

We bought a car here years ago- we had moved out of state and since we've been back have not made any car purchases. We went out looking on 4th of July weekend. Stopped by a few dealerships and window shipped, went to dinner and decided to see what they had. From the beginning it didn't seem like they really cared if we bought or not. We decided to leave that night without buying. I looked everywhere for the car I fell in love with that day and it was no where to be found so we decided to call back vse get started with the buying process. All day my husband was the one reaching out for progress reports to the point that when I got off work I was headed to another dealership when the salesperson finally called me and said everything is done you can come pick up your car. I did. It was a very long process definitely did not feel like my time was valued at all. The finance manager brought us into her office and completed the paperwork. She asked if we were planning on buying any more vehicles in the near future and had a pretty convincing pitch on why now was a great time to just do it. We decided we would... Trade in and buy 2 more vehicles. Surely this should provoke some excitement or sense of urgency from them??? Nope! It was horrible from that point forward. Long story short after several days of no progress we took our 2 cars and bought 2 new cars at auto nation where we had the best car buying experience ever- not to mention the prices were better and they gave us more for our trades. They lost my business with their lack of customer service, follow up and failure to make my business their priority. You can buy a car anywhere I wouldn't buy it here. read more

Terrible service the Service Facilitator told me that regardless of what they had said on the phone. I shouldn't wait in the lounge because it could take many hours. They'd call me for permission to proceed and probably get it done my PM. This is the opposite of what they said. Next nasty little item is how much it's going to cost. Apparently they're going to charge me a diagnostic fee of an hour labor. This covers a "facilitator" to type in the information on my car then open the lift glass at a rusted out hinge and then have a mechanic do the same thing. This is a charge for no reason whatsoever. I opened the glass and showed him the broken hinges. He got rude and said it was still going to cost an hour to verify what I just said and showed him. In my opinion that is calling me a liar to my face. I recommend no one go there, EVER. read more

I just dropped my car off for a service Groupon deal. I must say they treated me much much better than they have in the past. They were very nice about honoring the Groupon and offered, free of charge, to look into some issues I've been having with my old mustang even though I told them I wouldn't be getting any further work done today. I was also going to purchase a more expensive synthetic motor oil and the service rep told me that it really wasn't necessary and explained that the oil they used was just as good! If the mechanic follows through as well as the service rep did this will be a 5 star rating. read more

This place is a joke. $154.00 for an oil change & tire rotation? WTF? And they don't offer a loaner when you have your 40 some odd thousand dollar vehicle with 8400 miles on it in for warranty repair. So, it costs me $79 for the rental & $124.00 for an oil change, they gave me a "coupon". $203 for an oil change on a vehicle with 8400 miles on it. Tells me both Ford and this dealership do NOT stand behind their product. Never will I set foot on the dealers lot again for anything. read more

I special ordered parts from here, and was promised they would be available 2 days later. 2 days later comes around, and I get no call. So, on the 3rd day after 5pm, I call them. Turns out that another worker took my part and gave it to someone else. So, they had to reorder my parts, and I have to wait 2 more days for a new order. All along, I am paying for a freaking rental car while waiting on parts from these people..... Really? No offer to compensate for their dealerships error. I am just our an extra $150 for 2 days worth of rental car. I will never go there again. read more

I purchased a 2015 ford focus from a separate dealer, from the get go I could tell there were severe issues with the transmission (come to find out this is a huge issue with the 2015 Focus's transmission in general as well as a pending class action lawsuit against ford for it). The first 2 times I visited ford (for the same issue) the told me that after testing the transmission that it seems to fall within parameters for them not to fix. Understandable from a business standpoint as my car had 30,000 miles on it at the time and that falls within factory warranty, which means they would have to pocket the cost of repair and parts. I believe it was the second time I brought my vehicle in, I came by to pick it up(after being told again that there was nothing wrong with the transmission) after work and signed the paperwork, they person at the register told me to wait outside and they would bring my car out to me, I was on the phone at this time and sat outside for well over 45 minutes and several other cars were being brought out to their owners, after realizing that my was was not going to be brought to me I went inside to ask one of the reps. Everyone has a confused look on their face as in they knew what was up.. THEY LOST MY KEYS TO MY CAR.... To top it off, they didn't even have the respect to tell me and let me sit outside in the blistering heat. After demanding to speak with the service manager, he apologized and gave me a card for a free oil change, gee thanks. Would have much rather them fessed up and said they made a mistake, that would have at least made me feel like a human being. My car is fixed now, FINALLY, thanks to John. I won't be returning for obvious reasons. I'm not the person to sit down and take the time out of my schedule to write these types of reviews, however the potential patrons of this place needs to know that they're getting into before coming here. Attention Gary(Service Manager): If you want to try to rectify the issues I've been having as I already know you're going to respond, feel free to call the number you have on file for me.....Previously I had concerns regarding the third party auto glass repair company that ford outsources to, as they made repairs to my windshield. The issues previously stated in my review have been redacted after their area manager (Bret) from auto glass concepts took the time out of his day to come visit me at my home and show me the work that had previously been done and fixed the additional chips in my windshield, on a Saturday at that. Excellent customer service partnership !! This was a 2-day service. Upon arrival an associate greeted me and preceded to write up my work order until Roy, my advisor became available. Then Roy comense to finish the write up. I received service update calls about truck. On day 1 I received a demonstration of the hiccup and was advices to return truck next day for an extensive diagnosis, since I was pressed for time on day 1. On Day 2, I received the same excetservice upon arrival and the coutesy shuttle gentleman was friendly and shared in great conversations all the while knowing exactly where to drop me off and picked me up promptly at the time I requested later on that day; even though I had to wait a bit to be dropped off; which led me to believe Central Ford has several customers that use the service and that live Central Ford to entrust their vehicles to you'll. I was able to use a coupon which made me happy too and the cashier was equally friendly. My truck was washed and tires armor all, ready for me to drive! This was a great customer service experience!!! I will definitely tell others and return my F150 into your care again. Sincerely! read more

I ask for bids on a new Ford F150. They were the highest bid and lowest trade in for any Ford dealer that I received a bid in the entire metroplex. They tried to sell me a used (demo) F150 for a higher price than a new F150 with $3,000 more in extras. Pushy, did not listen to what I was asking for, a real "used car salesmen" experience.
