Not kidney shaped like many condo pools but rectangular with a extra little piece of square on the end. This pool is the perfect pool to lounge away a lazy Sunday. Complete with deck chairs, chaise lounges, tables with umbrellas, and floatation devices. I've only been in the women's changing room but it's pretty nice. It has showers which is a nice touch for a pool at a condo where all members are within walking distance of their own home showers. There are lifeguards. The staff at the front desk are very friendly and helpful - I noticed they are also extremely patient with customers with hearing or mobility issues. A nice change of pace compared to almost every interaction you have in the greater DC area with a front desk person. Ladies locker room and toilets are pristine and in good condition. There are several lockers and benches, and for those with families they have a family locker room, which is great for families that need that option as well. Pool area is pristine, and the classes I have taken thus far the staff are friendly and energetic. If laps is more your style, they have several lap lanes. There is a kiddie pool area as well. Only thing missing is a bathing suit spinner machine (people tend to try using the hand dryer to dry their suit). Parking garage on Cameron is across the street and very convenient.

The staff was very nice and there were plenty of lifeguards keeping close watch. The outdoor pool area consisted of - Large pool section that went from 3+ feet to 5 feet - 13 foot area with a diving board - Lazy river - 2 water slides About 40% of the area where you can sit is shaded (either trees or a canopy). I can tell that people came early to snag those spots. It's a very nice and well maintained facility. One thing to be aware of is that there is no re-entry. So make sure you bring everything from the car you need the first time. There is plenty of parking. Overall we had a great time and next time we will go closer to the time they open to get a shady spot.

It's a nice size pool with many seating options all the way around. There are several areas with chaise lounges, umbrellas and tables, there are 4 cabanas to rent and many poolside lounge chairs. There is a bar with drinks and food options that opens at noon. The water is crystal clear and not over chlorinated. Water is a perfect temp to cool down in. It is open to the sky without building interference. Music in the background and a leafy fence to make the air conditioners invisible. There is a bit of noise from those on one end but not unbearable. There are also a few poolside games like bags, large Jenga and a sort of bucket toss. One downside is the lack of outlets and no hotel WiFi. Would recommend if you have some down time!

A forgettable Y, old and run down and needs a major facelift. Definitely one of the less enjoyable YMCAs I've used and despite how old and run-down it is, it's also busy so you will have to wait for certain things on certain days at certain times more than you would in the average YMCA location. And some of the other members are not so friendly. A good parking lot though, and nobody bothers you in it if you're hanging out in it for awhile.
