I have been a client of theirs for many years. My C Pap needs replacement and I have been told by my provider, who is now in Portland that I need a replacement. The woman who answered in Astoria was rude and and told me that I wasn't qualified for a replacement. I would have to wait another year. I then I got a text from a Brad in Tillamook that I am qualified for a replacement. I called that number and was told that they don't have a Brad working for them. She didn't ask for my name to look up my case or anything. I am very disappointed that they were so rude and unhelpful. I have to either rent a machine or buy one. I am 71 years old and have central sleep apnea from a stroke. I am on Medicare and can't afford either option. I worked in sales for half of my life and if I answered the phone I would do anything in my power to help my customer. read more

I rented a knee scooter due to foot surgery and being non weight bearing for an extended period of time. It was rented on September 26, 2024. When we returned it to North Coast on December 4, 2024, the person told us to just leave it outside. I asked if we owed anything and she said no, and walked around the corner, apparently finished with us. Her customer service skills were definitely lacking! I received a bill for $80.00, for the month of December which I took in and was told that the person we returned the scooter to no longer worked there and I was charged the $80.00, make sure you get receipts for everything from them! The scooter was okay, one brake did not work as it should, and I had to constantly tighten the handlebar multiple times a day. read more

I contacted the Tillamook office to have a medical alert device placed in my parents home. They told me the cost and we discussed putting in one with the fall detection. It was then scheduled for the following week to be installed. On the day of installation they never showed up or called. It was not until the next day when I reached out did we find out that the device was on back order and should be at their offices in the next few days. Three weeks later and many phone calls to them (they never called me) we set up a date to get it installed. The device was installed on a Thursday. Within 30 minutes of the tech leaving (techs were great) the device began to go off for no apparent reason. My mother was up half the night answering Life Alerts calls, afraid that they were going to send an ambulance that she would have to pay for. The next day I contacted North Coast Home Health Services about the issue. They said that the fall monitors are very sensitive and that they are usually only given to patients that are bed ridden. Nice to find that out three weeks later. I asked them to switch to the regular monitor. They had a tech there that day to replace it (again tech was great). Within a half hour the devices started going off again. It went off 5 times in the first hour. In talking with the callers they said that we would need to contact the techs about the problem. We called at 4:45pm, but both offices were closed for the weekend. The device was unplugged so that it was not going off all weekend. We called on Monday morning and explained what happened and asked them to come and pick up their equipment and issue us a refund. They said that they would send one out that day to get the equipment but that no refund could be issued since they techs did their job and since we started the service for the month. We are now out $130 for a device that did not work and a month subscription that cannot be used. Cannot be more disappointed with the lack of empathy and customer service we received from this company. read more

Kehari was extremely helpful with fitting me for a new CPAP mask. I have been a customer for almost three years. Always helpful, and very prompt with home delivery of CPAP supplies. I really appreciate being able to walk into a business where i can look at and try the object I am purchasing. It's a much better experience than on-line. read more

I forgot an important part of my CPAP kit and driving 5 hours round trip back home was the very last thing I wanted to do. This company was referred to me by the RiteAid pharmacy in Seaside. When I called at 7:40 Pm, Kevin answered and arranged for one of his "on call" crew to run to Astoria to get me a new kit. What's amazing, is Pat (the on call guy) actually had a kit in his van in Seaside and delivered it within the hour. This is a wonderful example of a company and staff who go far above expectations to help a another company's customer out. I walked in, limping, because I have injured my knee and can't get an MRI for almost 3 weeks. I was a pair of crutches which were handed to me wrapped in plastic so I could hop back to my car. I would have expected a little more. read more

I'm conflicted as I write this review. Let me begin with the positives. First of all, North Coast Home Care (NCHC) is taking COVID-19 very SERIOUSLY. They were letting only 1 customer in at a time. After the customer before me left, they asked me to continue waiting outside while they disinfected the areas where the previous customer had been. Additionally, the employees were all wearing masks and gloves. They had a limited supply of CPAP equipment and supplies, but they had what I was needing - a replacement mask and tube. Now, for the negative. And it's just one thing... The price gouging for the tube. I was fully expecting to pay $6-$8 for a tube. A 6' CPAP tube. Nothing special. North Coast Home Care's price? $42. I asked the employee who was ringing me up to please double-check the price. She confirmed it was $42. NCHC was having a 20% off sale, so the price came down to $33.60. But that's still a 320% markup over the retail price found anywhere online. Clearly NCHC is used to billing insurance companies, and they pass on that ridiculous markup through to insurance companies. Unfortunately, I was paying with cash. I sent a letter to the owner/manager of NCHC asking him or her to please respond to me if this was their regular price, or if there was some kind of error. I included information from the Internet that this tubing ranges for $2.50 to $10, but the average was closer to $6. It's been more than a month, and I haven't heard anything. So, in summary, North Coast Home Care is taking COVID-19 seriously. They have a decent selection of equipment. But be warned - the prices they are charging for at least 1 item (6' CPAP tubing) is unconscionable. 'So what?', you may ask. 'It's just one item.' Sure, but every CPAP face mask requires a tube. So, while the face mask price was relatively reasonable (only about 20-35% above retail), you need a tube. So, it's going to be a high volume sale item. read more

Because of where I live, finding quality healthcare and supplies is difficult. I was blessed to find North Coast Home Care in Astoria. Having been a patient of theirs for sleep machine and supplies, I experience many positive traits with NCHC staff, including respect and caring, loyalty and dependability. I am writing this review based on my experience with 3 different cpap suppliers. The difference between nchc and the other 2 very large companies is remarkable. I feel welcome and an eagerness to be helpful here versus I am interrupting their day at the other 2 suppliers. And they are helpful. When my old cpap machine broke they were able to get me setup within 2 hours at the end of their day. This was after I had tried to get help from my previous supplier who said it would take "atleast a month". I felt dismissed and unimportant. Cpap is critical to my sleep so finding north coast (nchc) made my day. But my experience didnt end there. I recently had a problem with my machine giving me a malfunction warning. They had me bring in the machine anytime that worked for me. I brought it in and they fixed it quickly. I went home happy. Again they were so welcoming and concerned about providing help and pleasing me. Customer service matters to them. How unusual is that read more
