This Walgreens pharmacy is the definition of inefficient and slow. Prescriptions are supposed to be ready for pickup. They aren't. They tell you a 'few more minutes', which is 30 minutes at the LEAST. Complete joke. After 35 minutes, I left. I picked up the prescription 10 minutes later, after stopping at the UPS store. The prescription was in the bin. The clerk never looked for it the first time she helped me. Just routinely said, "It'll be a few more minutes." They need to open up a food court or Starbucks in there for the amount of time they make you wait 'a few more minutes'. A joke; a shockingly inept team working at the pharmacy there in Warrenton. I'd have more confidence in a group of Jr. High School kids working in there. When I was asked by the clerk if I had any questions for the pharmacist, I replied, "Yes, if my prescription was ready the whole time, why did I have to wait?" She got snippy - "Look, we're really busy; we're doing the best we can." But are you? Wouldn't doing the best you can include checking to see if the prescription was ready BEFORE telling a customer it wasn't ready and have a seat to wait? Everytime I get a prescription, it just stays on hold for days until I call to complain. They always have an excuse such as not enough staffing, the drug is not in stock even though it's been sitting there for days and they never told you they didn't have it in stock. then half the time the prescription order disappears and they can't tell me what happened to it. I'm waiting for the new CVS to open in Seaside where the rite aid used to be but who knows? I've never had problems at any other Walgreens but since moving to Seaside nothing but problems at the Warrenton store. read more

Service has recently been very poor. I'm told they are shorthanded but no excuse for rudeness at the counter. Understand if service to the public is not your bag but recognize it and get another job. I've tried to facilitate their work by submitting my refills ahead of time on line so they can be filled at their convenience. I wait a week after submitting to pick up but it still isn't filled when I go in. Today was a repeat. Told not ready and to take a chair. Waited 1/2 hour and finally was called up. Politely asked if their procedures have changed and only filling when there to pick up. Curtly told they had picked up RiteAid's customers and shorthanded. Very disappointing in customer service. Additional gripe was I checked for hours on line. States closed for lunch from 1:30-2:00. Arrived at 1:50 to be first and shorten my wait only to find out they now close from 1:30-2:15. read more

This is the worst drug store that I have ever used. They will tell you that they are out of your drug when you come in to pick it up even though they are not. They will fill your drug prescription, and a day latter put it back on the shelf because you took too long to come get it; even though they did not communicate that it is ready for pick up. They will tell you to come back tomorrow to pick it up because they are out; even though it is ready. I think that they are trying not to run short of their drugs by using creative means at your expense. This is a family run store, and they are all in on the creative methods, so it does no good to complain. The WORST. Not worth even the convenience of the drive through makes these rude employees worth it. They don't check voicemails or return calls from the hospital calling in medications. Hospital confirmed repeated attempts which the pharmacy denied, but it was documented. I had to return multiple times because they couldn't find prescriptions. I was in line well before their 6pm closing but they had messed up the person ahead me's prescription because for 15 minutes she was fighting with them. They walked off from the upset customer refusing to return so when it was my turn they refused to give my prescription as it was now after 6pm. Horrible experience will not return. Even though there's no drive through and even though its Walmart, I highly recommend those highly capable friendly people there. read more

Came in today to pick up a prescription I requested yesterday to be filled at the pharmacy, they were at lunch from 1:30-2:15, waited 15 minutes til they opened, Candi was the "cashier" or "pharmacy tech" to help me, she didn't even say hi. Then she said I had to wait because my prescription wasn't ready, I told her I called it in yesterday, she said yeah we are short staffed. I said how long and she was extremely rude and said when it's ready. The women behind me even laughed at how rude she was. I'm astonished as a nurse at the lack of hospitality when a community member is picking up prescriptions. The women behind me said I'm not surprised they are always rude here. So sad. Full disclosure: I don't much care for the big-ass drugstore business model to begin with. I've never seen one that performs checkout services without crushing the human spirit. But in this instance, I was picking up a medication since Riteaid didn't have it. They sucked at that too. In addition, the druggist aid figured out a way to dickup my prescription by denying my insurance even though it had covered all my previous prescriptions. The pharmacy assistant at the drive-through window was extremely rude. I asked to use the Goodrx coupons Because she was unable to find my insurance. She was really rude and acted as if I was a real inconvenience to her. I could not afford one of my prescriptions , so I called a few days later, the lady who answered the phone was so rude to me. She would not even look up my insurance card number for me, she said there was no prescription there for me. I explain to her I was just there two days ago, she replied'Its not here now!' Wow! Just the most crappy and awful place to shop and even worse if you use their on line add weekly specials. We live down the street and every Sunday we shop the weekly specials. Load up what we want into our account but every time the prices never come out right, then the mean blonde supervisor has to get involved. No name tag of course and she will not give us her name. The people in the photo printing DONT even know what a copy right is yet they have the nerve to try and call someone for permission cause of the name on the photo. My pictures only had the photographers name NOT her copy right sign. But that's what you get for minimum wage, and poor management and training. I took a covid test four days ago, with the guarantee of results within 72 hours. Good thing I found a rapid test to do somewhere else because this morning, well after the guaranteed 72 hours, I got my results. The lab hadn't even received them until this morning. If I was just looking at the pharmacy, I would award just one star. The staff in the rest of the store kicks it up a notch. I made an appointment online for my flu shot two days before my visit. I arrived 20 minutes early and waited inline for about five minutes. When I went to the counter, I gave my name, birthday, and phone number. I was told to take a seat and wait for paperwork. I informed the woman I had made an appointment online, she tersely said, "You have paperwork." I waited for the paperwork (which was largely redundant from what I filled out online). When I informed that same woman that I had my own pen, she crossly said, "Our pens have been thoroughly sanitized." I coldly replied, "I still have my own pen," while rolling her pen on the counter in front of her. After another wait, in which 2 walk-ins were given their vaccinations (during my appointed time), the pharmacist called me. In the room where jabs are given the pharmacist asked, "Do you have any questions?" I stated, "So, making an appointment online doesn't speed up the process?" His response was, "Do you have any other questions." After the jab, he suggested that I stay in the store fifteen minutes. Since I did have some shopping to do, I was in the store and dealt with the friendly staff behind the cash registers. I have been on a prescription for six years I moved out to Warrrenton about two years ago so I transferred my medication to the Warrenton Walgreens. Every month I go to pick up my prescription there's an issue. And one time they said I had already picked it up for that month which is impossible because my doctor doesn't write me more than one prescription a month. Every month after that I can't pick up my prescription one day early I have a commute for work and I take my medication every morning they would not allow me to pick it up the evening before (not even 24 hours early) Then I have to call to get them to even start the process it's not like they fill it right away in the morning. It becomes a huge hassle of me trying to nag them to have my prescription ready before I go to work! Not to mention it takes 3 hours to fill, when I could have gotten the night before! I understand protocols. My insurance and doctor say I can get it early if I need to. (insurance will pay, doctor does it all the time). Another time I took my daughter to the doctor, they sent medicine and we had to go home with a sick baby and wait all day for the medicine. What happened to the days when you get your medicine when you leave the doctors and go home! Sadly nothing will change. I see all the complaints and no one does anything. I will be switching pharmacies again! read more

This Walgreens is really nice. The customer service here is always friendly and above and beyond helpful. The parking lot might have some typical "Oregon Coast tweakers" but that's to be expected. The pharmacy is severely understaffed. Sat in the drive thru 10 to 15 minutes before being acknowledged. We watched the pharmacist verify and bag prescriptions, who did look over at us once. This location has "misplaced" my prescription numerous times. Last visit they said they were waiting on Doctor orders even tho I have a standing order. July 25th, 2018, 8:35pm, Pharmacy: Stood at the 'Wait Here For Patient Privacy' Line (I was the only person in line and waiting area at the time). I quietly waited as the pharmacist (Felix) and technician (Nancy) continued to work, look past me several times, and then fail to even acknowledge my presence. I approached the counter after several minutes of being ignored to ask for assistance. My husband had an emergency prescription that had been called in by his doctor, and since we were on vacation, this was the closet pharmacy that was open at the time. The technician Nancy seemed confused and inept at how to handle an out of network insurance card, and stumbled around, asking Felix, then telling me rudely, "We don't take your insurance at Walgreens." I explained that I was aware, however they were the closest pharmacy that was open at the hour, so the doctor sent it given the circumstances. I asked her to call my insurance company to verify the Rx, and she told me I could call on my own. I told her my cell was in my car outside, so Nancy placed a call (visibly annoyed at this point) and began speaking to my insurance provider stating, 'this customer is telling us to bill you,' (when I never stated), and refused to put me on speaker or allow me to speak to my rep, even though she was providing false information to my insurance carrier. I asked to speak with a manager at that point, and Sharon stepped in. The extra star is for Sharon, who allowed me to use the phone, speak to my insurance, and get the out of network issue resolved quickly and seamlessly. Sharon even offered to run a discount card to try and get the cost reduced, and was sweet and empathetic saying she hoped my husband felt better soon. Kudos to Sharon, thank you for saving the night! *Store Manager, Please do some remedial customer service training with Felix, and make additional training mandatory for Nancy...she seems a bit rusty on a variety of levels!! I was told the it would cost $112 for a 20 count pill prescription, which my insurance provider said was very high, and should only cost about $15 with an in-network provider. Given that my family is on vacation and hours away from an in network pharmacy, we bit the bullet, and I asked for only a partial fill of the prescription. *Out of Town Tip: There is a Rite-Aid a 1/4 mile away from this Walgreens. Should you ever find yourself in a similar situation as ours, I'd recommended giving Rite-Aid a try, as these are the only two pharmacies open past 6pm in the area for both Oregon and Washington (Long Beach Peninsula Area included). read more

If you need a prescription filled go to Fred Meyer or Costco. I have gone to Walgreens because of the drive thru but occasionally I will go inside. I have to say I have never been treated so poorly anywhere. These people must have majored in rude when they went to school. Last night was the final straw. Everyone is familiar with the sign that says don't walk any further. I am not stupid . I waited patiently and when I thought it was my turn stepped forward not over the line to the line! At that point I was yelled at by a snippy dip clerk that preceded to unload on me for entering the forbidden zone. When I called her on her attitude she picked up a phone and entered into a protracted conversation with someone. A few minutes later another clerk walked to the counter and assisted me. I expressed my displeasure and was asked if I wanted to speak to the manager. I had hoped to get a understanding ear. Never happened. She said based on the conversation we had that she might have her employee take some customer training. Sure she will. Anyway I walked out promising not to return. Last year My insurance was billed over $9,000 for my medications. Sorry Walgreens you will not see a single penny of it from here on. Hope you continue to do the excellent customer service job. Came here with my Mother so that we could each fill a prescription, and the pharmacist behind the counter (Rachel) was EXTREMELY and BEYOND RUDE to my Mother when she went to the counter to drop hers off and then said it would be "AT LEAST an hour" as she glared and sneered while she said it in a snippy condescending tone. Then when I went up to the counter she was short and curt with me as well, but then said that my prescription would be ready in 20 minutes. My Mom then came back up and asked the pharmacist (Rachel) why hers was going to take so long and mine wasn't, (as mine was much more complicated). Rachel then proceeded to get VERY cocky and antagonistic when saying to my Mother in a mortifyingly condescending tone (not to mention her body language during) "Because YOURS takes more work!" and then proceeded to stomp off into the back. We then went to the front and asked to speak to the manager (Jed) who seemed appalled at her behavior. We will NEVER be coming back to this location again because of Rachel and her snide and all around nasty disposition. NEWS FLASH Rachel: People coming to drop off prescriptions at a pharmacy are usually SICK! Therefore, the last thing a sick person needs (especially from someone working in the field of MEDICINE!) is to be spoken to in such a despicable manner as if they were putting you out by asking you to do your JOB! I have had Express pay for many months now. I needed a prescription for a blood pressure medication on 8/29/19. I spoke to a friendly employee in the pharmacy in the early afternoon. She told me that the prescription was ready for pick up and that my partner could pick it up while he was in warrenton later that day. She told me that he could use the Express pay when he came in. When he arrived a very rude employee told him that I didn't have the Express pay. She told him that I couldn't call and give her my debit card info on the phone. We are poor people. He did not have the $5. to pick it up. Consequently, I am without a very important medication and need to try to get gas money to make the 30 mile one way trip to get it. Sometimes things happen but there is no need for rudeness in a customer service business. As of now I don't have the medication and not sure when I can drive over again.
