I had the pleasure of attending the very first wedding hosted in this location, and the owners graciously gave me a walkthrough of the property. Considering this venue just opened, what impresses me the most is how established the landscaping and hardscaping feels. Visitors are greeted with a gorgeous gravel driveway that winds through an evergreen forest, then opens to a large gravel lot with plenty of room for event parking. A gently sloping lawn stretches in front of the primary structure, and the entire property is bordered by stately douglas fir and cedar trees. The primary structure is expertly laid out to ensure a wide variety of events can take place in the space. The bathrooms are spacious and stylish. The kitchen is well-positioned, providing easy access for unloading and loading, as well as preparation and serving. There is a lofty and spacious feeling throughout the building, with high ceilings and lots of light. In fact, two giant roll-up glass doors enhance the sense of progression between indoor and outdoor spaces. The owners spared no expense when lovingly adding details like this throughout the building. What I like most about this facility is that while the cavernous interior has a capacity for 200 people, there are plenty of niches and corners where visitors can gather for more intimate conversations. There are several distinct zones on the patios that can be unified by simply rolling up the glass doors. That sense of flow is important for successful event planning. My friend's wedding was everything she'd hoped it would be - an absolutely lovely celebration. The owners of The Farmhouse 1744 were gracious and accomodating, highly responsive, and incredibly reasonable to work with. Wedding planners and brides-to-be, if you're open to a rural location an hour north of Portland, it doesn't get any better than this!

SUCH an awesome place to camp over July 4 weekend... i highly…read morerecommend it to everyone! just be early birds like us and find out the first day you can call and reserve for this holiday weekend, note your calendar and just call and do it :) am glad i took my coworker's advice and reserved at this place... she had told me that they have an amazing fireworks show there (not presented by Lake Mayfield Resort and Marina, but by neighbors near by and maybe the town of Mossyrock?)... she was so right! this campground is very clean and well kept. we liked walking across the boat-dock and over to the little island next door as well and up to the lighthouse. the bathrooms were so clean! in all my years of camping, these are some of the nicer bathrooms we have ever seen - it's so sad that even state parks don't seem to keep up with private campgrounds! the saturday night dance was cool too and looked like fun for the whole family. having an on-side store was great too and considering they're a campground, the prices at the store were surprisingly reasonable! kind of bummed that the restaurant was closed, but apparently it is re-opening in 2020. they had a taco truck there though (**very smart**) - we never tried it but heard good things from camp-neighbors. i highly recommend this place.

We had been coming here year after year. In 2025 we arrived with a large group.... there was…read moregarbage everywhere and in big piles the entire time we were there. We had to ask them to remove the pile by our cabin (Oar House) to avoid the bees and nasty flies everywhere. And garbage piles were not in just 1 place, it was horrifying. So we decided to drive up before our next big group visit.... the place was definitely cleaned up. BUT, they have a new restaurant and bar on site, if we stayed at the Oar House again we would get to sit next to a full bar with beer garden and an air vent that is so loud you can talk to each. The island is closed. The bar is not apart of RV instyles, so dealing with loud drunk people and people driving back and forth is not appealing, not a relaxing vacy on the lake. We cancelled in plenty of time. It is September and I still have not recieved my full refund from June. My group ALL of them have experience issues with getting money back when their policy is 100% refund. I think they just changed it to non-refundable, that would be because they are losing regular customers. THey just simple ignore you, I even received an unavailable to email them too. My advice, DO NOT GIVE your money to them, you will not get it back, they will avoid you. It is so sad because I use to love coming here with family and friends. We wil still come to Lake Mayfield, just not here!

You can't get any better service than her. It's got a reasonably good atmosphere. While slightly cramped, it's nothing you can't easily move around in. As for their product selection, it's pretty large. I felt like they covered all major holidays/events, with reasonable prices. My Mom and I went in about an hour before closing, and still got great service plus the products we needed. Overall, it's a small party store with the party supplies you need, and an employee who will raise your mood just from conversing with her.

Vintage cars and trucks add to the venues character. The barn features two large sliding barn doors upstairs and down and feature antler handles. The concrete floors include stamped planks at the enterance of the barn and a compass rose greets guests just inside the door. Glass chandeliers and string lights line the ceiling beams and large log rounds and iron work form the railings leading to two grand staircases ending at the stage. A large prep kitchen complete with refrigeration and oven lead to an outdoor space for catering vendors. A large service bar, coat closet and plenty of storage are hidden throughout the venue. Tables and linens are included in the contract. Full hook-up camping and several chain hotels are within 30 miles in either direction of the venue.
