Our double Queen room. Beds very comfortable.

Only stayed 1 night. Wished it was longer. One of the cleanest. Most quiet, nicest management, easy to get in and out of. Spaciest, nice refrigerator, and microwave. The place smelt new. Had free pastries, and coffee for breakfast. Nice Mexican restaurant across the street. Easy to walk to ate there.Had great food. And the price is very reasonable. Can't wait to stop here again. And the road to Mt St Helens is right outside the door.

Ice machine, coffee, donuts and daily newspapers are located in the lobby.

A group of us stayed here for a weekend so that we could play on Mount St. Helens. I chose Helens motel since it is located 1-1/2 hours away in each direction of my chosen hikes. I reserved four (4) rooms by making a phone call to Ellen. A deposit was not required to hold my rooms. I reserved my rooms in March for a stay in October. After I hung up with Ellen, Ellen emailed me a confirmation of my reservation. Through email, Ellen was able to assist me with any further questions that I had such as: dining recommendations and outdoor adventures. Upon check-in, full payment is required. Discover is an accepted form of payment. The total price of our room for a Friday and Saturday night was $147.40. Helens is a motel, meaning that amenities are slim. The ice machine is located in the lobby. Complimentary coffee, donuts and daily newspapers are also located in the lobby. The lobby closes at 10pm so be sure to get your ice before closing time. None of us had any problems connecting to the internet via our phones during our stay. Our room, 204 (located on the 2nd level) was clean and suited our purposes perfectly. It was a blast from the past to use an actual door key to our room since most establishments use key cards. Our room had two queen sized beds, a mini-fridge, microwave and a flat-screen TV (unable to connect out our Amazon Fire TV Stick). Hygiene product isn't offered (shampoo only) so be sure to bring yours from home. Room 204 looks out over the parking lot and highway. The parking lot is quite large with a good deal of parking available. I loved looking outside in the early morning and witnessing a full lot. Since the rooms aren't meant for large groups of people, we all brought our own chairs, a couple of tables, a propane heater and games that we set up outside to further enjoy each others company. There are a few restaurants withing walking distance of Helens which is nice after a day of playing hard and driving several hours. Thank you Helens for offering a clean establishment for us all to rest our weary bones after playing hard in your backyard. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to future stays. Mount St. Helens is a temperamental beauty.

Great price and good location off I-5 far enough away so you can't hear the freeway, on the road that heads towards Mt. St. Helens National Monument. Rooms are extremely clean and large with nice furnishings. Even better, you can walk across the parking lot to a reasonably priced restaurant and lounge, Parkers. Perfect stopover between Portland and Seattle.

So I decided to have a spontaneous date night and got me and my girl the hammerhead package witch included our night stay at the lodge, $60 for dinner and $30 for breakfast. Well if I must be honest the stay was the only good thing about this place the hotel is great however dinner was horrible especially for the price both me and my girl were so disappointed she got a clam dish I ordered a 10oz ribeye we also got to start port side ceviche and Scooby snacks (minie corndogs) when we got our food it was cold literally everything but what just came out the fryer witch was the corndogs our waitress was very unprofessional she knew nothing literally had to ask for everything we needed menu drink menu what our package consisted of she even made me get up to walk out the restaurant to the hotel front desk to see what our package included when it clearly said to let your server know... we blew it off finished our food and just continued with the night we were told drinks can be delivered to our room when we called room service both the front desk and the pub we got no answers we had to end up walking back down to the lobby after calling multiple times breakfast came delivered to our door in the morning and once again food was cold not even enjoyable There we're no condiments to go with the breakfast I got chicken fried steak and my girl got a lil breakfast plate with eggs and toast my chicken fried steak way over cooked and burnt, potatoes cold I didnt even eat it it was so damn dry i DO NOT recommend eating at this specific location at all the hotel experience was the only cool thing about the place and also the beer they did have good beers so overall the stay was decent but the food here literally trash I've had better service at a motel 6

Saved receipt- I'm only three years late..............

We got stuck in Castle Rock late one night in April 2017 with an electric car that needed charging and the nearest charging station out of order, so we called local motels and this one not only was still open very late but kindly allowed us to plug our car into an outlet to trickle charge it overnight. They were life savers that night and I just found the receipt with a note on it reminding myself to "give a good Yelp review!" so I apologize for the lengthy delay!! Also the nightly rate was reasonable ($65) and we were only surprised by the room tax because we don't stay in motels often and didn't realize there was tax. Or maybe it's because we live in Oregon and forget there's tax in Washington? Anyway, I would love to return here someday under more delightful and less stressful circumstances!! Hopefully that will be in a post pandemic Pacific Northwest where there are some good vibes in a peaceful and safe society.

I called and made a RSVP with a friendly person. When I arrived, there was somber yet jovial person there to assist me. I was tired, hungry and incapable of normal conversation after ten hours on a bicycle. I got my key and immediately because of the decor I was scared of bed bugs. I pulled back the sheets and checked the windowsills. A bug crawled out of the sheets but it was a spider and there was some flies in the sill, but that wouldn't stop me from sleeping. I slept well, but this place shows the signs of being rode hard. If you are exhausted, this is the place for you.

To eliminate the accumilation of mold, the hotel would have to be leveled. It is not "clean." This motel looks like a little "Ma and Pop," hotel, just off I-5. That it is. Ma and Pop are not very scrupulous people. They own appoximately 3 acres directly across the street from their building. The property was full of old growth evergreens that created a sound barrier from the blaring of I-5. Despite kind suggestions from the community, they levelled the entire wind/sound barrier along with every living thing on the propery (including endangered species), fruit trees, a large hive of bees etc. The property is a buldzoded eyesore. Ironically, they've planted a garden on the hotel property to increase curb appeal. The rumble of I-5 racks the hotel without any damper. The windows even rattle slightly. A friend made the mistake of staying there recently. "It is dank and drafty." I know the area, it is nice to find a place to stay just off the highway before heading to Mount St. Helens or travelling from Portland to Seattle. I do NOT chose the 7! Run don't walk to the Mount St. Helens Motel. It is approximately 2 blocks west, just past the Shell station. There is a large parking lot with plenty of room for Truckers. If you're on vacation or headed up to the mountain check out the Silver Lake Resort. It's a stunner.

There was clear water damage all over. When I went to pull a tissue out of the tissue box on the wall, the metal plate fell off and scraped me. It exposed a disgusting inner wall, which made me not want to use any of those tissues. The carpet was filthy, and when I entered the room, it smelled so incredibly strong of a chemical it made me cough. It was about 10 at night when I arrived, and it looked like the windows had been kept open all day to air it out and it had not done that. I looked around thinking a Glade plug-in had exploded, but didn't find one. The bed sank in about 6 inches when I sat on it and no, I am not very heavy. The next morning, I woke up with extreme irritation in my throat from the chemicals, and I was having an allergic reaction all night with trouble breathing from the chemicals in there. The next morning, I went to the front desk to tell them that I would not be staying there a second night due to these issues. I mostly mentioned the strong chemical and my allergic reaction. They refuse to give me a refund for the second night that I had prepaid for because they require 48 hours notice of cancellation. He offered to give me another room that had not been cleaned for a few days so hopefully the smell would be better. It turns out that that chemical smell was Lysol. They had sprayed it on everything in the room and it was also on the bedding. They insisted that every hotel does this, but I have never ever had this problem or smelled these chemicals in a hotel room. I had to leave and pay for a different hotel for the second night. I am still hoping they will issue me a refund for the second night that I did not stay there. I informed them that I could not risk it with the breathing issues t and the chemicals that had poisoned to me all night. That this was a medical issue caused by bad practices and they still refused. They told me they would email the manager and maybe they could do some thing, but they would not make any promises and I would have to wait the whole weekend to hear back on Monday So now I am out $130 about and had to get a different hotel 45 minutes away. I don't understand how any of the reviews said this was a great place unless they just gave me the worst room they possibly had. Under these circumstances they're absolutely should've been a Refund And I hope the owner reaches out to do so and make this right. I attached a few photos, but this was definitely not showing all of the issues in the room.

I booked through hotels.com and she was able to fix something I couldn't do through Hotels.com. It took her a while but she was super helpful and made it happen. That's always a good way to start a stay. We were in room 117 with 2 queen beds. 4 pillows each. Mattresses were comfortable. Pillows were a good mix of firm and medium. Sheets were soft. AC/Heat was great. Bathroom was very small. The door barely missed the toilet but it's fine. (:-) It's cramped but functional and I love the big huge bath counter outside the bathroom. Lots of space to spread out. So I'm not complaining at all. The big counter is way more important than the cramped potty room. The breakfast was a typical lower end continental breakfast plus PEELED hard boiled eggs and ONE waffle maker. It was ok for free. Get there early because it can be a long wait for a waffle. They DO have excellent yogurt in the fridge with milk so don't miss yogurt. We took several back to the room and then skipped the breakfast on the 2nd morning because breakfast closes at 9:30. Here's a fridge in the room so we had yogurt this morning. I don't need the sugar in the prepackaged muffins and breakfast rolls. If you find this review Helpful please VOTE!

But he showed zero candor, politeness or anything at all and coldly told us we'd have to book another room for the fifth person. We ended up needing to have someone sleep in the car for the night. Do not come here if you have 5 or more people, the website barely describes the 4 person policy and it is enforced so thouroughly by the management that it leaves absolutely no room for the staff to be able to provide a welcoming and inviting experience for your average inn enjoyer.
