Mixed Review at Best! First, I have always had plumbers who come and look at the job to assess the situation, explain the problem, discuss the "fix" and then tell me the cost. Not the case here. This was done over the phone and with me sending a picture. The end result was me paying almost $5000 for two residential water heaters! I must say I feel a bit foolish. This could have been avoided if the regular process I described above was followed. That said...and the only reason I did not give them 1 star was because of the technician. He was awesome. Bought a toilet through Lowe's and this was the company that was contracted to do the installation. The toilet is in but the silicone sealant is a mess. Water on the floor, bedroom blanket on the floor, bolt from the water line was in the closet...overall a very unprofessional job! read more

I have used North County plumbing on several occasions. They have repaired my toilets a few times and my sink. They know what they are doing. Friendly technicians and professional. They ran a little late by no fault of the company or the tech. Just wish they had kept me up to date on the delay otherwise they do a good job. If I could give ZERO STARS, I WOULD. We purchased a garbage disposal and installation through Lowe's (INSTALLATION, NOT REPLACEMENT) and were told that someone would contact us for an appointment. We did not receive a call for the first FOUR DAYS from anyone for an appointment (which incidentally, is ONE DAY PAST when you can cancel and get your money refunded from Lowe's.) I am self-employed and took a day off work (at a loss of several hundred dollars) to be here for the installer. The installer arrived on time but, once here, looked under the sink and said, "Oh, you need an installation, not a replacement." I said, "That is what I paid for." He called his office and said, "Someone will call you with a new day AND PRICE. I can do it but they aren't comfortable with me doing it." I was furious! THREE MORE DAYS PASSED AND NO ONE CALLED. I finally received a call - not from North County Plumbing but from Lowe's. Their response: "North County Plumbing told us they can do the installation but it will be an additional $180 over the quoted price." Needless to say, I returned the disposal and demanded my money back from Lowe's. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. LOWE'S SHOULD CANCEL THEM AS A VENDOR, AS WELL. read more

This is a follow-up review. I was at first very disappointed with North County Plumbing however the owner, Anthony called me & promised a resolution to the problem. He sent his very best person to my house, his name is Dean, who assess the situation and determined that parts needed to be ordered. Fast forward to next week and Dean arrives with the new parts. He installs them into the toilet & the toilet is fixed. I would like to give a special shout-out to Dean for being smart & really knowing the plumbing business. Yesterday we had a plumbing emergency. I immediately went to "next door" to review previous recommendations. We decided on North County Plumbing due to their glowing reviews on next door. Unfortunately, we called North County and was told someone would call us back regarding an ETA. We called 4 times throughout the day and was told the same thing. No return call, not even this morning. We ended up calling All Star Plumbing yesterday due to lack of reply from other company. They came out within 2 hours yesterday, completed the job on a Sunday and the cost was very reasonable. Highly recommend All Star Plumbing. i have had nothing but problems with north county plumbing 1. the first time they came to our home to look at a stoppage issue,, they told us a toilet was broken and offered to replace it for $400. then we determined the toilet did not have to be replaced. 2. a week later they told us the real problem with our stoppage was that we needed to have our pipes snaked, they came out and they charged us $350 to do the job which took less than an hour. 3. it's 30 days later and our system is backed up again. they came back to our home, treated us rudely and then informed us "we don't guarantee stoppage once we have done it" 4. this time they told us that we need to spend about $700 to have the pipes "cameraed" enough is enough. they must think that if they yell and raise their voices that we will be intimidated. i am going to report this to the better business bureau. people like this should not be allowed to stay in business. read more

We secured this company through Lowe's and we were very thankful for the referral. We needed some plumbing completed for the installation of a water softener. Jerry contacted us immediately and scheduled an appointment for an estimate. We agreed upon a price after Jerry explained what he would have to do for the installation. Jerry arrived on time, was very professional and courteous. Jerry explained how the product worked and encouraged us to call any time with any questions or concerns. After Lowe's majorly messed up delivery for a new dishwasher TWICE by not sending an installer with the appliance, they contracted North County to deliver and install. I am sooo grateful that they did! The two men they sent out were aware of the fracas with Lowe's and were respectful, professional and worked their tails off to get the installation right, despite a couple of setbacks. It took them well over an hour to gently shimmy the appliance into a space that was made almost impossibly too small due to the new tile floor height and VERY tight space. These guys were straightforward, honest about the issues and diligent in resolving the problem. So very impressed! Have asked them for estimates on a complex plumbing change because of their professionalism and work ethic. read more

Well third time a charm to get leak fixed in my front yard. Over 4 years trying to resolve same issue, charged me 400$ first time, 89$ second time and today after quoting me 325$. Added 110$ for a reason that was not clear to me and certainly wasn't shown to me. So Over $900 to fix a connection between the meter pipe and the pvc going to my house. I'm sure Dean did a good job and sorry he wasn't here the first time. Pricing was reasonable if they had just charged 425 but $900 for a leak.??? Be aware, terrible customer service and bill amount changed by $236 without informing me. they took advantage of me and didn't fix the leak.

They just installed a hot water heater for us. They didn't pull a permit and while the building inspector was here for a different reason I was told that they should have pulled the permit and that the water heater that was installed had not been done to code (so it never would have passed and inspection). They tried to assume no responsibility when I notified them of the problems!! read more

Not impressed with their bait and switch tactics quoting me one price ($120) for two "toilet rebuilds" which was nothing more than replacing a fill valve and flapper (a $15 dollar kit). He then charged me $240 for two. The job took him 15 minutes. The plumber used some old parts from his junk bucket. He wouldn't touch replacing a worn out shut off valve, which is one reason why I called them to begin with. He said he was afraid he might crack the water line and he didn't want to have to replace it. Really? You're a plumber for Christ sake. They came highly recommended but I was major league unimpressed. Don't call this company. If you need a honest plumber, call Delta Mechanical Plumbers of Florida. I had two issues that needed to be fixed, a toilet that was constantly running and a kitchen faucet that did not provide hot water. I explained this when i made the appointment and was told to get new ones if they needed to be replaced. I ask that the toilet be fixed first but the repair man wanted to replace the new faucet first, which he did in approx half and hour. I also bought a new toilet but he said that he could fix the old one for a lot less money. He did not have the part on his truck and said that he would order it (L shaped valve and gasket). I paid $157 for installation of new faucet and $195 for the toilet part and installation, which took around 5 minutes to install and test. I now have a 20 year old toilet with one new part. Not worth the approximately $300 labor cost. Very disappointed read more

I called and asked for an 8 AM appointment. It was scheduled for 8 AM (had to wait for an opening). I wanted the first appointment so I could get to work. The day before the appointment was scheduled I called and confirmed 8 AM. At 8:20 I called and was told that "he stopped at a construction site". When he finally showed up almost an hour late he told me that he NEVER comes at * AM. and proceeded to bash the management. I did not have them do the work. I later found that the price they quoted me was much in excess of what I finally got the job completed for. I will not call them again they had no regard for my inconvenience whatsoever. read more

Did not charge me the previously quoted price because they did not use the specialty equipment I assumed they needed. I am beyond livid with this company. Our landlord called after my toilet began leaking and flooded my house. They said the plumber was on a job in Lake Worth & would be here within the hour. Mind you, we are 2 people in a 1 bathroom apartment. 90 minutes later the tech arrives. He doesn't say hello and instead greats us with "straight back". He begins to work and I can hear him speaking on the phone. He tells us what should've been a 15 minute job is turning in to hours - it's after 11pm at the point. He put the new toilet in and tells us to avoid sitting on it until morning which makes sense as the grout has to dry. Then he says he didn't snake the drain as my landlord requested because he didn't want to be here until after 1am and that someone would be out in the morning. He informed us at that point that though he'd been here for HOURS we still would not have a working toilet. I then received a call this morning from Rodney. He asked if everything was working (knowing damn well it wasn't because I heard the tech on the phone with him last night). When I told him it wasn't he spoke to me like I was an idiot and says "well I don't know what the problem is, he ran the tub for 30 minutes and nothing backed up. The toilet & tub are both connected to the septic tank." I advised him I was aware however we still had a toilet that wasn't flushing & I wanted it snaked like it was suppose to be done last night." His tone was rude & we are still sitting in a 1 bathroom apartment with no working toilet as we wait for yet another tech. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - EVER! read more
