******BEWARE****** I just walked out of this Hospital…read morebecause of negligence due to staff. I am dabetic and have a cgm in my arm to monitor blood sugar. My blood sugar was running at 220 and rising so I pushed the nurse call button at 8:35 am, phone was answered and then hung up, so I immediately called back with the same result of hang up, I waited 5 minutes and tried again. SAME RUSULT OF NO ANWER BUT HANG UP! on the 6th attempt a female with a strong accent answered and I told her I needed insulin as my blood sugar was no at 240 and rising, she said ok but didn't realize that she had left phone on and she then told someone else that my blood sugar was at 240 and both women started LAUGHING. I know that Nothing will be done and this type of behavior has got to be stopped. I immediately walked out and left out of fear for my life . JFK NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN ,!!!!

A person assists you for the check in acknowledging and signing and gives you a wrist band. There are 2 sections that I know of downstairs I have gone to and upstairs has two other areas for images and physician visits and a pediatric wing . They forewarn you that you are expected to be there 2 to 4 hours and it can be more. An assistant tech,nurse always comes first and asks questions to evaluate. After the doctor comes in there can be fellow students at times as this is a teaching hospital. They have a snack cart to choose a snack and beverage since you are there for so long if needed. The also offer coffee, hot chocolate, and tea. A charging station is available is some waiting areas . I did get a biopsy done last year in the outpatient with some amazing nurses at the begining to keep me calm . There was one at the end that just wanted to push me out saying it is not all day just in and out, even though I did not feel ready to get up. I was diagnosed with an eye disease on top of another issue I went in for initially. I am being treated for this so I have follow up visits Plan to spend all day. They have an optical center on site for those who wish to get glasses there too. A pediatric wing is also available. It is very easy to get to as it is right off of turpike exit of Palm Beach Gardens. Alot of parking up front and a drop off undercover for those who need to be dropped off.

I called and advised that my father has passed away in 2025 and he ordered a brand new pair of glasses. I asked if I was able to return them ? They told me somebody would call. We are now in 2026 and nobody has called. My Father loved this company. He swore up and down, but I think the Customer Service and the greed for money has taken over in the South Florida area. its hard to give an overall rating- horrible intake from ER- came in at 2:30 and got to room at…read more7:30pm. room not properly set up - no water no phone hook up, no toiletries or wash cloth or towels. the procedure of an enema which was to be done as soon as she got upstairs was not done for a day and a half. A doctor never saw her that night and the next day. Fed up my wife said we need to leave, after i told them we wanted to transfer to another hospital - then i got their "best" doctor- proper care then- at least daily visits and updates were given. HE WAS GREAT nursing care was very good - perhaps because i stayed there and went to get a nurse as needed. we did not use call bell except twice in a 7 day stay and they came. the room itself was very small - have 2 beds in a room which neighboring hospitals have one bed. very uncomfortable chairs for visitors/relative to be sitting in for long hours. would we return - no way! if not for me raising hell including asking to see the director of nursing and hospital administrator - i wonder what would have been the situation. the 4 star rating is as a result of the actualcare given by the staff - it would have been 1 star if we filled this out on the first day.

Because, I have been here since 7:45am It's not their fault, I could have declined to accept 3 appointments scheduled so far apart. One started at 8::00am. The next is at 1:30pm. Then another at 2:30pm, hopefully I can get out of the 1:30pm one in time to make the 2:30pm one. Came outside to get some sun and sat down wind of a person sitting in his diesel truck with the engine just running. Now, I am dizzy, hoping I can complete the next 2 appointments. Get one of here and make to the gym. My choice, my dilemma!

The care from 99% of providers and specialists has been top notch. Lots of rotation in keeping primary care docs. Nonetheless, they are seem competent and always concerned. It seems like gradual changes in desk staff have taken hold with attention and compassion too. They seem much happier and able to assist. I love the Va in WPB. Please keep up the awesome work care to us vets.
