I heard one of them state a resident at the crypt keeper, and the others were arguing about who was going to change another resident. The person I was suppose to meet, I believe her name was Jenna was anything but nice. She acted like I disturbed her, and TOLD me to sit out in the lounge until she was finished with what she was doing. I did not know you needed an appointment to see a facility. Furthermore, I could hear her talking to someone in her office about making sure that a person would not have their job long is she had something to do with it. Also, said let me hurry up and finish the tour with this person that didn't even call and make an appointment. To say the least. not a smile, not a how are you. Nothing. It is hard enough to find a place for a loved one. She toured me for exactly 3 minutes, handed me a folder and told me to call if I have any questions. When you have people treating you like garbage can you imagine what they are doing to the residents are there. Then to top it off, she said I know you know where the doo is. The smell of the building was horrible, residents sitting in a hall asking for help and CNA and nurses just sitting on there phones. I am completely ashamed and cannot believe Midlands is considered a 5 star place. Someone is paying someone off, I would give his place a 2. The only thing good was me leaving.

My dad has been enjoying independent living there for several years. The apartments are spacious with full kitchens. But who needs to cook when your monthly rent includes breakfast and lunch. Lunch? I enjoy lunch with my dad a couple times a month, it's 5 star. The Chef and his staff are amazing. Pamela manages both complexes. She and her staff are welcoming and oh so helpful. They have every resident's best interest at heart and treat everyone like family : ) I was just reflecting about the time my dad has enjoyed there; the friendships, card games, weekly bingo. Breakfast and lunch, not alone but in a beautiful dining hall full of conversation. Oh and don't let me forget all the community rooms, church services, hair salon and did I mention indoor parking?
