We've been at Goddard for a little over a year now and love it more and more by the day! It was so…read morehard for me to drop my first born off with strangers at such a young age, but from the beginning Goddard has been nothing but kind and loving towards him. As a teacher myself, I appreciate the emphasis they put on education, as he has learned more than I could have ever imagined. The entire staff is constantly going above and beyond each and every week to make learning a BLAST. It is super apparent that creating a fun learning environment is a high priority. A few other things to note is their top notch communication efforts. We are always in the know about every thing! As well as the diversity, which can be hard to find in this area. I love that my son gets to celebrate our traditions while also learning about cultures different than his. Lastly, my son is HIGH ENERGY and can be a lot at times. The entire staff at Goddard has never once made us feel like he is a burden, in fact quite the opposite. They have always welcomed his energy with open arms and big smiles, which is huge for me! I was required to…read morepay a deposit fee plus an entire month's tuition up front to secure my spot ($1700 total). 24 hours later I received a message from the school I was on a waitlist for that a 5 day spot was now available, which is what we really needed. I explained to Goddard management that the other school was 5 min from my house, less expensive, and most importantly had a 5 day spot available. I asked if I could at least get some of my money back given the circumstances. They refused to give me back ANY of the $1700 deposit despite the fact that they only had it for less than 48 business hours. My child never even visited the school. They claimed that I could have taken a spot from someone else. I paid them Thursday afternoon and informed them Monday morning about my change of plans. If someone visited Friday who wanted that spot, am I really supposed to believe they couldn't have contacted them immediately on Monday to let them know about an opening? I reached out again and was told they never filled the spot. So if you couldn't fill that spot anyway, why couldn't I get even half of my money back? It's not like we took someone else's spot (according to them anyway). The school we ended up joining didn't require any deposit to secure my spot, and the owner purposely enrolls less students than the GA requirement to provide a better and more nurturing environment. My son has about 13 kids in his class vs. the 20+ children in the Goddard class. It's clear that the owner is all about money and posting on social media. I am so happy we found a better place for my child.

We booked a 1-hour sunset helicopter tour and were quoted a flat rate of $600 for two people. Unfortunately, the experience ended on a disappointing note due to communication and billing issues. When we arrived, we discovered there was an additional 2.7% credit card fee that had not been disclosed ahead of time. More concerning, about 30 minutes into the flight the pilot descended to land because he believed we had booked only a 30-minute ride. We were surprised because we had clearly scheduled a 1-hour sunset flight two months earlier, and our name was even listed on the schedule board for a one-hour tour. After we clarified the misunderstanding, we went back up and completed the full flight. However, when we landed, we were told the total would now be $775 because we had gone slightly over the hour -- even though the extra time resulted from the earlier misunderstanding, not from any request on our part. After discussion, the total was slightly reduced, but we still ended up paying more than the original quoted amount. I'm sharing this mainly so future customers can be prepared to ask questions about timing, billing policies, and additional fees before flying. The actual flight was scenic and memorable, but the end result left us disappointed.

We chose Atlanta. Booking was easy and went smoothly. The staff was very friendly over the phone and in person. Blue Ridge Helicopter is located at Gwinnett Airport in Lawrenceville. The first date we chose unfortunately didn't work out. Heavy rain was expected that afternoon. Our pilot Chris did not recommend us flying that afternoon and asked if we were open to rescheduling. We rescheduled for a couple of weeks ahead and the weather was perfect! Chris is experienced and was very knowledgeable of Atlanta history and landmarks. They informed us that if we wanted to book again in the future, we would pay the same Groupon rate. Very competitive to other helicopter tours!

I very rarely leave negative reviews, but my husband and I fear for other parents and their…read morechildren. I don't know what's happened since May of 2015, but we will never allow our son to go back to this day care facility. Our son was four years old, had a speech latency, and on the tail end of potty training when he began going to the after school care program at this Discovery Point. All of his clothing, extra shoes, extra pull ups, and baby wipes were lost every single time he had an accident. We couldn't understand why he'd come home covered in dirt and mud, and have accidents every day. His demeanor had changed completely, and instead of being excited about school the next day he actually seemed sad, which is not like him. After questioning the staff on several occasions we realized that they weren't encouraging him to use the bathroom when he got off the bus after school, and they were keeping all of his belongings either under the front desk, or in the back of a closet where the teachers couldn't find them. After arriving one day early to pick him up I found him playing in the dirt on the playground while the other children played nearby on the play equipment. I asked him why he wasn't playing with the other children and didn't have to wait long before the other children informed me that he is not allowed to play on the playground, so they'd push him away. The teacher watching this group of 5 years and up confirmed this, had instructed the children to keep him off the equipment, and informed my husband and I that the teacher with the four year old class was over capacity so he was placed with the older children. My four year old son has a speech latency, and could not verbalize what he liked or disliked, let alone verbally defend himself, or tell us what was happening. We removed him after three months; in November and have yet to find any of the clothing or other supplies that we provided for him when we originally registered him. I have never seen Any Discovery Point run like this. We definitely noticed turn over in that three month period. I truly hope that no other child has to go through what our son did.

Can you imagine the face of your kid sitting alone in a corner while the other kids are eating an ice cream....sounds to me bullying right ?? Nobody was able to give us a professional answer, that is when you can see they just care for the money but not for the kids.
