I've used PreFlight for a couple international flights and overall they are a good facility and a good value. The rooftop parking works just fine for me--I don't mind if the car gets wet! The prices are comparable or better than other lots and I appreciate the 24/7 shuttles as many other lots only offer that option during certain hours of the day or night. The drivers are a mixed bag; some are friendly and helpful and others have the cuddliness of an armadillo. But they get you to the airport quickly and I like that you need a barcode to get both in and out of the rooftop. They also offer bottled water in their lobby area. When we had to stay an extra day due to a cancelled flight, it automatically added an extra day though I thought the price was too high when I exited the structure and left a comment in the survey as such. I received a mildly unprofessional email in response to the survey so that I wasn't so crazy about, but they were right and I was charged the correct amount. Just think they could have been a bit nicer about it. Overall it's a solid option, especially if you are planning to leave or arrive very early or very late. read more

This was my first time ever looking for prepaid parking at Chicago O'Hare airport. I was looking for something that was safe, reliable, and had a shuttle to the airport. Unfortunately, I did not realize that it would be really difficult to find a good quality parking garage that was reliable. The reviews are all over the place. I had some reservation about this parking lot, but it seemed like the best option. I was worried that there would be some problem with my online reservation. The following is a recap of my experience. I downloaded the app and set my reservation time with a pre-payment. Upon entering the garage, there was a problem with the power going out before I arrived. I did not know this and attempted to scan my barcode, and the machine would not take my reservation. I pressed the button for assistance and somebody came rather quickly. They explained to me that the system went down and they let me through the gate. I was nervous based on some of the other reviews I read. I took my car up to the second floor for the reservation I paid for. The most expensive floor is the first floor and the cheapest is the top floor that is uncovered. Upon entering the second floor, you have to scan your QR code to indicate where you are parking. Again, the machine would not take my barcode. I had to press for assistance and they assured me that it would not be a problem and they let me through the gate. Luckily, I had listened to the lady who gave me a printed ticket for entering. She told me to keep it, but I know a lot of people sometimes misplaced things, especially when they go on vacation. After parking, the elevators were not working and I had to lug my suitcase down two flights upstairs. It was only then that I realize that the power had gone out, and that some of the other customers were actually trapped in the elevator, which is why the elevators were not working. The shuttle driver was not very friendly nor did they help with my luggage. We waited for approximately 20 minutes and the bus took off to O'Hare airport. Make sure to get the note that tells you where the pick up point is. From my terminal it was a bit of a walk and I had to walk across and take the train to the next terminal. From there the bus was already waiting and it took approximately 15 minutes before taking off. We had one additional stop at another terminal and we arrive back at the parking structure. FYI as I was concerned about my reservation, not registering. I tried to call the national customer service number. There is no one answering the phone. Luckily the local number somebody picked up and again they reassured me. Everything would be OK with the reservation. When I got back to my car, the car was safe and sound. When I tried to check out the machine told me that I owed it 17 additional dollars. Luckily there was employees present and I told them what happened. Their initial response was did you park in the wrong area. I told them about the story above. They then took my reservation barcode, and the ticket that I was given on my first day. If I had lost that, I am assuming I would probably be paying out of my nose because they would not have any records of me entering the garage. I was able to leave without paying any additional money as my reservation included all of the time that I have parked my car there. A few days later, I checked the app and it was odd. It said that I was overdue checking out and would have to pay extra. I ignored this and eventually it disappeared from the app. Was this a stress-free experience no. After returning home last night, I've decided I will no longer be using PreFlight Parking. When we arrived at the shuttle pickup area, we were the first people waiting in line. However, when the shuttle came, it drove past where we were standing, and several others pushed ahead and boarded before us. Because there was no clear organization or enforcement of a line, we were left behind and had to wait even longer after already waiting quite a while. I understand it was a very busy travel day, but the lack of structure and crowd management made the experience frustrating and inefficient. I want to start by saying I have used PreFlight for many many years with no issue. Always using the economy option to park uncovered on the 4th floor. I had a short weekend trip and figured that paying for 2 nights was about the same (and more convenient) than an Uber. Shuttles as always were prompt and the drivers were great. My issue started when I left the facility after landing back at ORD. As soon as I hit the highway my car started having issues. I made it home by the skin of my teeth and it turns out my catalytic converter had been cut out while it was parked at the facility. Super clean cut, and they did it in a way the pieced the cut ends back together so you couldn't tell from initial glance over. I understand you park at your own risk, but this is a security issue. I called the facility to report it as a heads up (because again, I understand they are not liable) and was told they only have cameras at elevators and gates. Response was "it's unlikely this happened here because we have people patrolling constantly." I made it there Friday morning with a catalytic converter and got home Sunday night without it. You do the math. I am out $1,100 on a ~$90 cost to park....I should have just taken the Uber. read more

The African American employee on duty was very rude. He said he can waive the extra charge before it is paid. But I had to pay for it so that my car won't block the existing gate. However, since it was paid and even just on pending status, he said it was correct charge so that he won't refund me the money. I have paid over $350.00 for 14 days. Nice indoor parking near o'hare. -1 star for the misleading advertising that PreFlight is a similar rate to o'hare's economy lots. PreFlight quotes varying lot prices depending on your floor but this EXCLUDES airport fees and taxes. All in all, my base rate of $18/day for floor 3 became $24/day after taxes and fees. This includes the long term prebooking discount. For comparison, lots G and H are $16/day -- this is inclusive of taxes and fees. Do your math! Don't get me wrong though, it's a nice, clean lot and the shuttles are fast and convenient. But it's much more expensive than they make you believe. read more

We park here regularly when we travel for less than a week bc it's more cost effective than a service. Even with a crazy snow storm and tons of traffic and people waiting for a van, the drivers are dependable and put the luggage on the van. Last night after everyone had waited on the tarmac for hours so their plane could get a gate, we made our way to the pick up door and this driver, I wish I knew his name, was so friendly and worried about our safety. He has a bucket of candy to offer everyone on the van and just wanted to get everyone back to their cars safely. We were all dehydrated from traveling for so long and walking into the facility towards the elevator, there is a refrigerator with bottles of water which was the icing on the cake. read more

Car Burglary Alert!! 4/10/24 - 4/17/24 Look for another place before they fix this Area. I parked for a business trip at Pre-Flight Ohare from April 10 - April 17, 2024. When I returned, to my surprise, my dash cam ( front and back) was gone. The center console and glove box had been molested. Luckily, there were no broken windows, but the skills of this criminal are unbelievable. I might have left it open when I left, But I double-checked my doors before leaving the facility. I parked on the second floor. See the attached location in the photo. The manager helped me call the police and get my contact information. I don't know what they are going to do with it. The police asked what happened, but no help. He even mentioned that there are only two cameras at the entrance. He didn't even get my information and explained that it happens a lot in the area and that they cannot cover it because of the size. The upsetting part is that you paid for a close parking lot and thought your car was safe, but the facility didn't do anything. read more

I've been using PreFlight since they opened. In the last yr, it's been at least 7x, so over the course of the years, it's been dozens and dozens of times. I've never had a bad experience. Prices for covered parking on the 2nd or 3rd floor range from $21 to $27 a day, depending on the day of the week. It's very clean. The staff very friendly. And I've never had to wait for a shuttle. They're always there. No matter what time of day or night, they seem to always be there. My only complaints are that 1) It's 10 min from the airport and 2) It's quite a walk to reach the spot to be picked up from the airport. On nice days it's no big deal, but in freezing temps or pouring rain, I'm always rethinking things. read more

To start, they have their own app. I would highly suggest downloading the app and purchasing parking through the app. It makes things simpler and your barcode for entry is right in the app. But you will also be emailed your barcode with your receipt. Now, this is a covered parking garage located on Mannheim road, which is about 6-8 minutes from O'hare airport. The cost of parking was pricey, hence the 4 star rating instead of 5. I opted for the first 2-3 floors (economy covered), this was about $19 a day. They offer shuttle service to the airport , as well as tire inflation, EV charging and battery jump services. All of which are worth mentioning because the last thing you would want to worry about is coming back from vacation to a dead car or a flat tire. Did I mention, you can use the app to track the shuttle? Well, you can...This is helpful, particularly if you're running late. This will also come in handy to locate the shuttle pick up location on the return trip. This was my first time and I wasn't familiar with the pick up point but the shuttle driver does offer you the directions to this location from all the major terminals. The pickup location was quite a walk from terminal 1 baggage claim, hence the 4 star rating. Overall, I will definitely become a repeat customer. The process was seamless with the app and my only hang ups were the pricing, which was fair upon reflecting and the distance of the shuttle pick up. I read the reviews for Blue Sky Ohare and was horrified so I canceled immediately. It is not linked to the Blue Sky Parking out of Phoenix which I am used to, which is amazing. This location was easy to find. Parking was secure. I opted for rooftop parking. There was several precautions to keep your car safe. Shuttles were prompt. My return shuttle was tricky to figure out but I called and they walked me through it at 5am. Definitely will patronize this business again. Today was my second time using Preflight and once again I am very pleased with the services provided. I reserved my parking space through SpotHero and paid about $16 and some change for 1 day parking. If you reserve the basic rate of $15 a day you will have to park on the 4th floor. This is the top level and there is no rooftop covering your car. I really appreciate how simple preflight makes the process. When you arrive at the parking garage you press the button for a ticket. You're gonna scan this ticket for every level you pass through. This is how it knows what rate to charge you for. However, if you reserved your ticket online and already prepaid you'll go to the front desk and give them the white ticket you printed out when you arrived, as well as the parking reservation confirmation you made online. After they do this they will print you a receipt that will allow you to exit the garage without paying twice (since you already purchased the reservation online). I really love how preflight is 24/7, and I especially love how they always have someone at the front desk to answer phone calls (that is rare to find with parking garages). I never waited more than 10 minutes for a shuttle, and the staff is always extremely friendly and helpful. Once you are dropped off at the airport they also hand you a piece of paper explaining which door to go to once you come back from your trip. They will pick you up from O'hare at door 1, just follow signs for ground transportation as well as the red sign for shuttle center. You'll find it with little to no problem! The shuttles do get quite full so be mindful of this if you are concerned about COVID. This being said the shuttle does try to instill ways to social distance by having plastic dividers between some of the seats. So, I do appreciate their efforts and as more and more people get vaccinated and society starts to build herd immunity I'm sure it will only get more and more crowded. Which is a good thing! Nice to see people traveling again. Preflight is most likely the only shuttle service I'll use when I have to keep my car parked near O'hare. They are convenient, reliable, and helpful. My experience parking here was smooth and pleasant. The parking lot was easy to get to and hard to miss. At the time, it was the most affordable O'hare airport parking with shuttle service. I used to park at the airport economy G parking lot when it was $10/day but it is now $15/day. The onsite sign for rooftop parking here is $17/day, but I was able to reserve a spot on SpotHero for about $12/day! When you pre-pay on SpotHero, remember to bring the parking ticket with you because you'll need to stop by the front desk to get a ticket to exit. I drove to the top, parked, took the elevator down and there was a shuttle waiting. It's about a 10 minute ride to the airport. On my return trip, there was a shuttle waiting when I arrived at the shuttle center that took me back to the parking lot. Easy peasy! Since I pre-paid via SpotHero, I stopped by the front desk near the shuttle drop off to show them my SpotHero reservation number and get my exit ticket. The attendee was friendly and helpful. I've used this service multiple times now and I've been impressed every time with how efficient and seamless the entire experience is. The lot is secured and spacious, and I feel comfortable leaving my car here for extended periods of time. Also, there are a TON of shuttles transporting customers between the rental car building and the airport. My most recent trip here, there was a large group of 20 people in front of me that had just arrived to to board the shuttle. In a matter of minutes, 3 different buses arrived and I was able to board almost immediately, despite the large group ahead, and was on my way to the airport! read more

Cost is around the same as parking in long term now at the airport. We were coming back late and I didn't want to be in the cold dimly lit parking lot with my kids trying to find the car. So I yelped and found this place. The folks here were very nice. They grab your bags and load em up. You leave the keys at the inside desk and are whisked to the airport. Dropped off at your gate with a blue piece of paper with the pick up phone number, instructions on where to go to get picked up and your claim number. Super easy to follow their directions to the pick up spot. One phone call and they were there in a nice warm vehicle to get us. When we got back our car took a bit to bring around. But they scraped the windshield for us and had the heat cranking so it was warm for the drive home. We will use them again !!! read more

They have a ton of shuttles, the most I've ever waited was 10 minutes for a shuttle and that was during peak hours and only once. I have used them for Ohare Airport pick up for the last time today. I have waited over 30 minutes. I called when I arrived at 5:15AM. It is now 5:46 and I am still waiting and have called an additional time. Each time I call I am being told 6 to 7 mins. The app has vans moving and says a 5 min wait. When I called to question this I was told the app is not accurate. Since waiting I have seen 2 one spot vans. Think I will try them next. My problem is that when I call I am lied too. Just say you have a 30 min wait for pick up. The price they charge does not equate good service. Third one spot van has just gone by!! read more

I heard about this parking facility on the radio. I'm thinking that it should be a reputable place, I was wrong. I purchase my reservation that clear stated that I was going internationally. When I arrived at the location to park, the guy asked me if I'm going internationally I told him yes, he then instructed me to park between S & R at the covered. I didn't think anything of it because when I purchased the parking I vividly remember requesting covered parking. And yes, I did not look at the receipt to see if it said covered or not, I just looked at my receipt to ensure the dates and the amount was correct. Anyway, on my return, the lady told me I need to pay $4 extra for each day my car was parked because I parked in covered instead of uncovered. I asked her what would be the total, she first told me $154 when I started to really speak up she went and got the supervisor and that's when she closed the window, they talked and she came back saying it will be $4 extra for 13 days which is $52. I proceed to pay at the machine, my first attempt it did not accept my card, it told me to remove and try again. On my second attempt it accepted my card BUT CHARGED MY CARD A TOTAL OF $95. At this point, the attendant and the supervisor is telling me I will need to email corporate to get my money back. THIS IS ALL SORT OF RED FLAGS AND SCAM ALERT GOING OFF. I couldn't believe it when I arrived at O'Hare on Friday only to discover that parking on site is now $42/day!! After a quick google search I found PreFlight; I like that there are multiple choices for prices--the higher you park the cheaper your fare. I chose the roof for $17/day. The shuttles to and from O'Hare run every few minutes, so you don't have to panic about your flight; returning back to O'Hare the pick up is a short walk from the baggage claim. I also noticed that the area where you catch the shuttle from PreFlight has a scale, so you can measure your bags before you fly! Definitely will park here again. read more

I was worried that because we had an early morning flight there wouldn't be a shuttle at 5 am but it was there and I got the to Terminal with plenty of time. On the way back, we arrived early at 6 am and I just had to give them a call and they were there within 10 mins. Who knew airport parking could be this simple? I've used PreFlight twice now for parking at ORD. This past time I made a reservation in advance through their app, where you can choose price points of first floor, second/third, or top floor. Middle was best for me for both price and being out of the elements (snow in October, who would of thought?!). When I arrived, I pulled up an email from PreFlight with a QR code and scanned it at the gate. On I went. At the second floor, there was another gate. With another QR code scan I was on the second floor. With a short loop to an empty spot, I parked and took a quick walk to the heated elevator in the middle of the parking lot with my bag. Out of the elevator a driver greeted me, took my bag, I took a seat in the clean shuttle, and I was off to the airport. On my return, a shuttle was waiting at the pickup spot on the street across from the Marriott. Again, the driver took my bag, I took a seat, and before I knew it I was back to the parking ramp. With free water bottles on the way out, PreFlight cemented me as a return customer. What's not to love? Secured parking ramp, staffed 24/7, complimentary water, emergency car services, oh, and one last thing! They even have a rewards program for free parking. read more

I've used this service at least 15 times by now. I fly out of Ohare 3 time a a month. Price? Pretty standard. Usually about 15-25 bucks a day depending on which floor you pick (1-4). Their app is easy to use and thats how I schedule every time. Security is very good. They have plenty of employees on staff it seems. The garage itself is in good condition and they sometimes have waters for you to snag on your way to the airport. Staff is super friendly! What everyone wants to know: how's the shuttle? Takes under 10 minutes to get to Ohare once you're off. Problem is they can sometimes wait a good 10-15 minutes for more passengers once your on the shuttle before they take off. So if you plan for that, you're A-OK. They help with luggage, are relatively quick to pick up when outside normal shuttle hours. I've only had one poor experience where it was cold as iced-over hell and they took like 20 minutes to pick me up at the shuttle center. Biggest complaints I have about the whole process is how confusing it is to get to the shuttle center after the flight. But that, as per usual, is an OHARE problem. read more

The shuttle service they provide is convenient and speedy, and I love the small personal touches like providing free coffee, tea, and water in their lobby, as well as a scale to measure how heavy your baggage is.
