This was my first time ever looking for prepaid parking at Chicago O'Hare airport. I was looking for something that was safe, reliable, and had a shuttle to the airport. Unfortunately, I did not realize that it would be really difficult to find a good quality parking garage that was reliable. The reviews are all over the place. I had some reservation about this parking lot, but it seemed like the best option. I was worried that there would be some problem with my online reservation. The following is a recap of my experience. I downloaded the app and set my reservation time with a pre-payment. Upon entering the garage, there was a problem with the power going out before I arrived. I did not know this and attempted to scan my barcode, and the machine would not take my reservation. I pressed the button for assistance and somebody came rather quickly. They explained to me that the system went down and they let me through the gate. I was nervous based on some of the other reviews I read. I took my car up to the second floor for the reservation I paid for. The most expensive floor is the first floor and the cheapest is the top floor that is uncovered. Upon entering the second floor, you have to scan your QR code to indicate where you are parking. Again, the machine would not take my barcode. I had to press for assistance and they assured me that it would not be a problem and they let me through the gate. Luckily, I had listened to the lady who gave me a printed ticket for entering. She told me to keep it, but I know a lot of people sometimes misplaced things, especially when they go on vacation. After parking, the elevators were not working and I had to lug my suitcase down two flights upstairs. It was only then that I realize that the power had gone out, and that some of the other customers were actually trapped in the elevator, which is why the elevators were not working. The shuttle driver was not very friendly nor did they help with my luggage. We waited for approximately 20 minutes and the bus took off to O'Hare airport. Make sure to get the note that tells you where the pick up point is. From my terminal it was a bit of a walk and I had to walk across and take the train to the next terminal. From there the bus was already waiting and it took approximately 15 minutes before taking off. We had one additional stop at another terminal and we arrive back at the parking structure. FYI as I was concerned about my reservation, not registering. I tried to call the national customer service number. There is no one answering the phone. Luckily the local number somebody picked up and again they reassured me. Everything would be OK with the reservation. When I got back to my car, the car was safe and sound. When I tried to check out the machine told me that I owed it 17 additional dollars. Luckily there was employees present and I told them what happened. Their initial response was did you park in the wrong area. I told them about the story above. They then took my reservation barcode, and the ticket that I was given on my first day. If I had lost that, I am assuming I would probably be paying out of my nose because they would not have any records of me entering the garage. I was able to leave without paying any additional money as my reservation included all of the time that I have parked my car there. A few days later, I checked the app and it was odd. It said that I was overdue checking out and would have to pay extra. I ignored this and eventually it disappeared from the app. Was this a stress-free experience no. Would I park here again maybe.

Car Burglary Alert!! 4/10/24 - 4/17/24 Look for another place before they fix this Area. I parked for a business trip at Pre-Flight Ohare from April 10 - April 17, 2024. When I returned, to my surprise, my dash cam ( front and back) was gone. The center console and glove box had been molested. Luckily, there were no broken windows, but the skills of this criminal are unbelievable. I might have left it open when I left, But I double-checked my doors before leaving the facility. I parked on the second floor. See the attached location in the photo. The manager helped me call the police and get my contact information. I don't know what they are going to do with it. The police asked what happened, but no help. He even mentioned that there are only two cameras at the entrance. He didn't even get my information and explained that it happens a lot in the area and that they cannot cover it because of the size. The upsetting part is that you paid for a close parking lot and thought your car was safe, but the facility didn't do anything.

I grab this parking reservation after after seeing a review from another yelper. I was booked at the place across the street blue sky. I read the reviews for Blue Sky Ohare and was horrified so I canceled immediately. It is not linked to the Blue Sky Parking out of Phoenix which I am used to, which is amazing. This location was easy to find. Parking was secure. I opted for rooftop parking. There was several precautions to keep your car safe. Shuttles were prompt. My return shuttle was tricky to figure out but I called and they walked me through it at 5am. Definitely will patronize this business again. Felt amazing to get my car and head home, not worrying about the Uber cost.

Pretty crowded shuttle coming back from the airport. Around 1 P.M.

Today was my second time using Preflight and once again I am very pleased with the services provided. I reserved my parking space through SpotHero and paid about $16 and some change for 1 day parking. If you reserve the basic rate of $15 a day you will have to park on the 4th floor. This is the top level and there is no rooftop covering your car. I really appreciate how simple preflight makes the process. When you arrive at the parking garage you press the button for a ticket. You're gonna scan this ticket for every level you pass through. This is how it knows what rate to charge you for. However, if you reserved your ticket online and already prepaid you'll go to the front desk and give them the white ticket you printed out when you arrived, as well as the parking reservation confirmation you made online. After they do this they will print you a receipt that will allow you to exit the garage without paying twice (since you already purchased the reservation online). I really love how preflight is 24/7, and I especially love how they always have someone at the front desk to answer phone calls (that is rare to find with parking garages). I never waited more than 10 minutes for a shuttle, and the staff is always extremely friendly and helpful. Once you are dropped off at the airport they also hand you a piece of paper explaining which door to go to once you come back from your trip. They will pick you up from O'hare at door 1, just follow signs for ground transportation as well as the red sign for shuttle center. You'll find it with little to no problem! The shuttles do get quite full so be mindful of this if you are concerned about COVID. This being said the shuttle does try to instill ways to social distance by having plastic dividers between some of the seats. So, I do appreciate their efforts and as more and more people get vaccinated and society starts to build herd immunity I'm sure it will only get more and more crowded. Which is a good thing! Nice to see people traveling again. Preflight is most likely the only shuttle service I'll use when I have to keep my car parked near O'hare. They are convenient, reliable, and helpful. I'm glad this business exists.

Then, we had to go the International Terminal pick-up at 5E and wait there, too. The second wait was less than 15 minutes, but it added time to our trip. We left it at 2:00 AM and after a 1 hr drive back home, turned around when we realized we left the laptop and bag. Arrived back at lot at 4:00 AM, parking space was still empty, and bag was gone including laptop. After 8 phone calls, 7 people, I was able to make a police report with Chicago Police. Seems anything related to the parking lot that is "lost" (or stolen) doesn't go through O'Hare Lost and Found, but rather, the police. So I made the report. I then make multiple other calls to ask if they can look at the cameras since I was sure where it was taken and being it was between 2:00AM and 4:00AM, I don't assume it was busy and would be difficult to find. However, I was told there are no cameras in that lot. We also had to remove a part on my door handle which took 10 mins (Key fab issue), and I was concerned it looked like we were breaking in my car. When that was happening, Security drove right by and we couldn't believe they didn't at least stop to ask why we were removing the handle as it clearly looked suspicious and we were using our phones for light. Remember, this was 2:00 AM. Then, the car alarm went off for at least 60-90 seconds. Again, no Security. Security did show up however when it was time to leave and the machine wasn't accepting the same card we used to enter to pay. We were told that it's often their machine so we gave them another card to use. I guess when it comes to payment, they will be sure to get their money. This is not a safe lot and I will never park there again. My fault for leaving my laptop. But this was a the first time in a long time that we chose to park here instead of one of the other third party lots. I will never do that again as I would have assumed, for not just issues with thefts, that I would be safe. I'm pretty sure if I would have been assaulted, no one would have been around either and no cameras for O'Hare Airport???? Unbelievable. BTW, in talking to a Chicago police officer, he laughed when I asked about whether or not there might be something on the cameras to show who may have taken my property. I'm not holding out any hope that the police have time to track down what happened to my property. In fact, I don't believe Chicago Police were even quite sure what was needed to file the report based on questions and follow up calls I received to complete their report. But who would have also thought that Lost and Found for O'Hare doesn't service this type of issue in the O'Hare parking lot. I guess they only handle it when it's within the inside of the airport ( I assume). I rarely write reviews, but this was one I feel others need to be aware of. Again, I get it it's my fault for leaving my laptop. But for safety reasons, why in the heck would a large airport like O'Hare not have cameras in the parking lots??????

I booked through Airport Parking Reservations, selected "oversized vehicle" as I was bringing an SUV. Upon arrival there were signs about an extra $10 per day fee for oversized vehicle I double checked at the desk explaining I paid for the oversized vehicle he pulled up my reservation and told me I was good. Mind you this was after he interrupted me, and then talked over me before I was able to get him to listen. Only then did he check my reservation and say I was good. The phone was ringing off the hook so I chalked it up to either he was overwhelmed or just having a bad day. Spoiler alert that's not the case. We return, I am again told I need to pay for the oversized vehicle I again show my receipt and show the oversized option. He asks to take a picture of my receipt says I am good and he will have to take it up with the third party. I offered to email my receipt to help get the matter cleared up on the business end. I stay and make sure the email came through. I leave the office and I am loading up my luggage and five children and the front desk guy comes out to get me asking me to follow him back into the office. He claims there was fine print at the bottom of the email and I owed more. At this point I'm frustrated and darn right angry. Which I feel any individual would be after being told twice we were taken care of. I told him I would never use them again. I asked what I owed him he's, again, talking over me saying it was the third party's fault. I told him I didn't care, I had been traveling at that point for 8 hours (government shut down long TSA lines March 2026)and had a five hour drive ahead. He was aghast at my frustration and proceeded to tell me I had the bad attitude. After we left I pulled up the email and read all the fine print. It says there could be a $10 a day oversized vehicle charge added for oversized vehicles so to avoid an additional charge to make sure to select the oversized vehicle option which I did. Again, the drivers were wonderful for both rides and we tipped accordingly. If I had accidentally selected the wrong option or there wasn't an oversized option when booking I would have been annoyed, but it wouldn't have been their fault and I would have begrudgingly paid. In this instance the mistake was not mine and I was told twice I was paid in full.

Customer service was very disappointing. When we raised these concerns, the response was dismissive and unhelpful, essentially telling us to choose an exit door and leave. Additionally, the facility advertises indoor parking at a higher rate, but that was not our experience. The car was returned dusty, dirty, and even had bird droppings, which raises serious questions about the accuracy of that "indoor parking" claim. Lastly, communication was challenging during the night shift, as staff were not able to communicate in English at all and there was no manager available to assist. Overall, the lack of transparency, poor service, and misleading expectations made this a very frustrating experience. Definitely not going back!
