If you're a snooty, snobbish, condescending foodie, look away, because North Grill is not about being presentable, proper and posh. It is a family-run, family-owned "cheap" steak and ribs place that is quite popular in the neighborhood. Nothing fancy about the exterior, nothing fancy about the interior, but the food is straight to the point, affordable steak and ribs. This is one of the few steak places that I arrive to with a photo finish right before their last order, but they happily welcome me while granny cleans the table of the family that just left, while watching her daily dose of Pinoy teleserye. The Porterhouse steak is very tasty; it is thinly charred at certain places, and is quite a good portion, served with home-style gravy that makes the rice hard to resist. The ribs are quite big for the price too, and although I have definitely had better, this one is much more worthy of my attention vs. the other hyped-up, mom and pop rib places in town. Do swing by if you enjoy your steak with teleserye on the side! We all gotta go Manila-ghetto sometimes. read more
