Now that I have been to other dental offices since The Dentists At Orenco Station, I feel I can…read moremake an honest review of my experience here. I am also not one to leave reviews unless I really feel compelled to. It's been a few years, and my feelings haven't changed. My first impressions were positive. The hygienists are very kind and thorough. I don't believe they are the problem at all. However, red flags started popping up when the dentist began pushing a tooth extraction and an implant. They had noticed something on my xray that they believe indicated my tooth needed to be removed sooner rather than later, however I never experienced pain or discomfort from this tooth. They sat me down in a room with their insurance person and told me how it would go down. As someone who is under 30 and never had any dental issues in my life, I was confused. I have also been told many times over my teeth look great. They referred me to an endodontist. Payed $300+ out of pocket for a 20 minute appointment for him to say "yeah, well maybe, maybe not we will have to wait and see." They also casually mentioned that the owners of the dentist establishment were their good friends. I did not follow up with a tooth extraction or implant following this appointment because the endodontist didn't say it was necessary at this time. I went back for another cleaning 6 months later and AGAIN was heavily pushed to schedule an extraction and implant. My intuition told me to get a second opinion, because something felt off. My gut was telling me this wasn't in my best interest and not for the sake of my dental health. As a young person who has never had dental issues in their life I felt like I was being taken advantage of. It felt as though they thought I was naïve. It felt as though this establishment was truly just a business trying to make themselves and their friends money. I have visited 2 other dentists since my experience here and have asked them point blank if I needed a tooth extraction and implant because a previous dentist told me that I did. I told them exactly what the dentist at Orenco Station told me. Both dentists I have seen since said no. AND if that were the case, extraction and implant should not be the first plan of action for someone so young who is also not experiencing any pain or discomfort. There should always be an effort to save the tooth. I still do not have problems or pain with said tooth. It's been 3+ years. I understand each dentist has their difference in opinion and can use their own discretion, especially in private practice. Some are more proactive and some are reactive. However, my experience was that this place was purely a business looking to make money. They did not make me feel like they had good intentions or my best interest in mind. They were VERY pushy to undergo expensive treatments. For future or current patients of this place, just use your own discretion. Advocate for yourself. Get a second opinion. Trust your intuition. This is just my experience I felt compelled to share.

I was impressed and delighted by their service on day one and just as impressed and delighted today, six years later after several cleanings, whitening treatments, and a few repairs. They have a clean, attractive space. They are super-professional. And they provide very kind and attentive service. I highly recommend them!

If personality is a determining factor in the quality of care received, that speaks to your lack of professional standards. Or perhaps your review of my behavior was the only desperate ploy you had. The pictures don't need context. Nice try, though. The rebuttal to my negative rewiew is a lie, and reveals a lack of professionalism. The man who wrote it, I never met him, but his rebuttal suggests a level of immaturity that seems unsuitable for a business owner. My attitude was fine and patient, despite dealing with incompetence. Saying that I was rude is a simple misdirection of blame. The picture of their offering says it all. Just look at the obvious difference in size. How could it be so far wrong? Because my attitude sucked, according to you, I got a substandard denture? Pretty weak defense, man. You guys messed up. Just admit it.

Today I was told I had to pay a $25.0 no show fee for an earlier appointment that was missed. I received NO reminder call or text ( they said both were done according to their records). What upset me the most was the lack of caring/ understanding about the fact that I did NOT get the reminder call/text. The attitude I got was indifference....no customer service or understanding that sometimes things don't work properly. I will not be going back to them and will be looking for another dentist.

I was unable - as an existing patient- to see anyone when one of my front porcelain veneers came off. They didn't even pretend to care, not even, we are so sorry, what can we do? Nothing. They offered to let me wait in the office until someone just didn't show and even then I was told that the dentist would make no promises to provide service. When I tried to make an appointment for filling, it would be over 1-2 months before I could possibly get in. I do not recommend this location, it's not the dentist, but it's overbooked and inappropriately staffed.

This dentist is also pricey, even though they are covered by my insurance. However, the single worst experience was that they performed work on me that they knew was not covered by insurance, without asking first! They claimed that it was to relieve the pain I told them I was in, but I had specifically told them I wasn't in a terrible amount of pain, that it was more of a discomfort. They refused to waive the charges and it wound up costing me a couple hundred dollars that I didn't need or want to spend. After that experience, I refuse to go back.
