Going to the dentist isn't something that lights a lot of people up inside, so finding a good one is crucial. I've lived here over a decade and couldn't find a dentist that I liked as much as the one I had back home, but that's changed! Cooper Mountain dental is tucked in a strip mall about half a mile off of 217. I've driven by it hundreds of times but it wasn't until I got a flyer in the mail and then read the great reviews online that I decided to give them a try. This is going to be my dental practice from now on! Everything from the front desk staff to the modern dentistry equipment to incredible bedside manner makes this place a 5/5 for me. Pros: - Plenty of parking lot space to park - On time! I got there and was taken back in less than a couple minutes. - Modern equipment. They seem to be using very state-of-the-art equipment/practices. This made a lot of the normal things (like x-rays) go by so much more quickly and less painfully. - They truly care. I see Dr. Ramkrishna, and I can't say enough good things about her. Compassionate, funny, always making sure you're doing okay. The entire staff is like this. - You'd think with how "fancy" the equipment is, the cost would be crazy, but this is on par with any other dental practice. Upscale without being pretentious or out of reach. - The work itself is really well done. I need to have procedures beyond a cleaning done, and it went by very quickly and I can already feel the difference in my tooth sensitivity. She and her assistant checked in with me regularly to make sure I was doing well. I healed up much more quickly than other experiences I've had. None: - None. The office staff are so helpful and walked me through the price estimate several times before the procedure to make sure I understood what I was being charged for. Wow this review turned out to be a long one! It's very informative so bear with me... I chose this office because I wanted to support a women owned business. The dentists are both women, and the dentist I had is BIPOC. Awesome. They have an open floor plan. Including a child's play area, adjacent to two treatment "rooms" - all very much out in the open. This means you can hear sounds coming from over the wall - decidedly unpleasant. When those sounds stop, you can hear everyone's conversations. In a medical office. The dental assistant (I think?) was lovely, she flossed and polished my teeth very thoroughly and carefully. She told me everything she was about to do and what I might expect when the dentist sees me. After a 30 minute wait listening to the screeching dental machine coming from over the wall, the dentist appeared and actually did the scaling of my teeth. Very rare these days, usually it's the hygienist that does that part. The dentist's scaling technique was quite uncomfortable- dragging the tool on my gums. Don't get me wrong - I don't mind a bit of a sting at my cleanings, but this was a lot and I'm very sore an hour later. The last thing I want to mention is how they keep the air clean in Covid times. They have air purifiers around the office. Maybe I was spoiled at my previous dentist where they had a sort of vacuum machine placed near your face to pull all the um.. mist? out of the air. I hope the machines they do have did their job. Just ok, three stars. read more

Most dentists force you to make multiple appointments, wasting my time - but not Dr. Lee. She has modern equipment, friendly office staff, and online scheduling. I had gone to New Smiles in Sherwood in January to get a filling done, and when they did the filling, it was super sensitive even after several bite adjustments. So they kept making me wait to "see if it would go away" despite not being able to chew on the left side of my mouth. Fast-forward 4 months of not being able to chew on the left side of my mouth and my mother recommended her dentist, Cooper Mountain Dental, and Dr. Lee. And I am SO glad I went. Dr. Lee was SO understanding about my fear of the area being touched because of previous dentists tapping it to "test" the sensitivity only to throw me into a fit of pain. She very gently had me bite on a q-tip so they could pinpoint where it was without causing me much pain. She was able to tell me it looked like the composite used for the filling didn't bond correctly to my tooth, so there was like a space between my tooth and the filling, which was causing the sensitivity. So we scheduled to redo the filling. I was TERRIFIED. She offered me things like laughing gas and a sedative to help calm me down for the day of the filling, but I just wanted to get it over with haha, but I've never had a dentist care so much about how I was feeling. She gave me two stress balls to hold as they began the procedure. She made sure I was completely numb and she did such a good job, I didn't even feel the shots! My previous dentist, I felt the shots so strongly that I developed trismus in my jaw and I had gotten used to it after awhile. But I felt NOTHING. The whole procedure was completely painless and she talked me through the whole thing, telling me "Alright, the old filling is 30% out, now 50%, 75% we're almost there" so I knew exactly how long they'd have to drill it out. It was really comforting to know that. And then we were all done! A week later and I am happy to say I can FINALLY chew hard food on the left side of my mouth again! And I am SO thankful for Dr. Lee and Cooper Mountain Dental! Both my husband and I are going back for our usual dental appointments, and I'm happy to say we have finally found the right dentist for us. Beautiful Dr. Ramkrishna, and her beautiful staff were great on my first visit. She's calm, explains everything and includes me in on the decisions of what is priority and best for me, the patient, Shes helping me use up my insurance money before the year end. She must of said sorry 20 times cleaning my teeth but she was fast and gentle. I have never had that good of an experience at a Dentist. I hate to be so low in the dentist chair because of sinus problems and so when she could she lifted the chair. The staff is all so sweet. Dr. Lee and her staff were awesome! It did not feel like I was going to the dentist, it was more like a dental day spa. She's very attentive she calls back and she even sends text messages. I couldn't ask for a better dentist she is the best!!!! I highly recommend her and Cooper Mountain Dentistry. Even my wife who is deathly afraid of going to the dentist enjoyed her visit with Dr. Lee. All of the forms are digital and can be filled out online for a no hassle no wait registration.
