Felt Recoil Reduction is SIGNIFICANT…read more So many good things to share about Mike Gregory's Shockmaster system (By G-Squared). Let's start at the beginning. "50 years old" is in the rearview mirror. Let's say 6 foot tall, 210lbs and overnight a sudden, acute awareness of recoil rears its ugly head. Shot fatigue increases rapidly. 200 rounds with the new 12Ga and I am done. Bigger concern, when does the flinch set in? The search for a recoil reduction system starts in earnest. Review included all the usual suspects (4 in the USA) and a couple (2) European options. While each had their merits, ShockMaster came out on top. Final choice was based on 3 key factors. First, INCREMENTAL WEIGHT. The ShockMaster adds ~2-3 ounces (plus an additional 2-3 ounces with adjustable butt plate). Second driver, QUALITY (track record for low maintenance, want to shoot and not fix the gun). Lastly, and most importantly, Mike Gregory delivers an incredible EXPERIENCE. Call G-Squared and speak with him for 20 minutes. As a craftsman, a gunsmith, and the sole installer of the ShockMaster system (designed and patented by his late father),. Additional influencers included: * The AESTHETICS. Once converted its look is the closest to the original (pre conversion). The conversion process also considers aesthetics in the design, the process and the final product. See pictures attached. * The VALUE. Intersection of price, service, custom fit and desired outcome. * CUSTOMIZATION. The fitting, the comb adjustments, the soft comb option, the adjustable butt pad, even the amount of air pressure in the system. (It uses no springs or hydraulics for recoil reduction) * INDUSTRY LEADER RECOMMENDATIONS. The team at Pacific Sporting Arms West. Thank you Jordon, Eddie and Ken for the reference. For the record, PSA did recommend two vendors. * USED BY USA (And other) Olympic Team Members. First step, you have to get on the board. Mike has work scheduled 6-10 weeks out. Once you gravitate towards the top, he reaches out and schedules a time for the conversion. Next, we flew to Spokane to visit the shop in Post Falls, ID. Seeing the 69 GTO Mike bought 40 plus years ago was well worth the flight. The shop is spotless and it provided great insight into how Mike works and approaches his customers, projects and the fine shotguns he works on. The visit confirmed the decision and the much beloved Krieghoff K-80 was checked in. A custom fit, detailed discussion (consultation) around desired outcomes and preferences; 60 minutes whizzed by in no time at all. Mike checked and rechecked the fitting, we went over the job, added all the items and work started. The gun came back on the day it was promised. It's a process, you cannot rush the process, give Mike the time he needs to do a great job for you. Gun came back via UPS. When you start to unpack your stock, you immediately see the care and attention that just went into wrapping it up. Anticipation escalates. Then the big unveil and... it looks better than the pictures we saw. Photos do not scale like the real thing. The work is beautiful. Difficult to decide whether I like the engineering, the wood work or the artistry the most. Drive from UPS to the Sporting Clays course. The recoil reduction can only be described as SUBSTANTIAL / SIGNIFICANT. Everybody experiences recoil differently. Shooting 1OZ, #7.5's at 1,250 FPS through the 12Ga . The felt recoil can be described as "between a 20Ga and a 28Ga." G-Squared technology and a proper stock fitting. Immediately notice a second unexpected surprise; speed of the second shot. Less recoil, and onto the second clay quicker than ever before. This surprises everyone that shoots the shotgun. Life is too short to let recoil be a factor. The Shockmaster, Mike Gregory and a custom fit made the world of difference. Shot 300+ rounds that Saturday with a marked decrease in shot fatigue : - ) In my opinion, this was the best money I could spend on my K-80.

I recently had the misfortune of buying ammo from Rob and Heidi at a local gun show. After having…read moreto extract a broken casing from my 9mm I had the ammunition examined to find out that it was severely overloaded causing primers to balloon and one case exploded, distorting the base of the case so bad that it blew the primer right out of it. The shape shift and move around, changing their numbers and finding anyway to get out of honoring their products, which by the way are not their products. They purchase bulk ammo from other vendors and repackage or not the ammo for sale on their travelling side show. The box of 1000 9mm rounds I purchased from them had brass from 4 different manufacturers and 3 different brands of cci primers being used. The powder charges were all over the map. Stay away if you want to avoid gun damage and/or bodily injury from firing their garbage ammo.

Oh No! Prices are higher than most others. As we walked in, could not find anyone to help us. I…read morejust hope people did not come in to help themselves with ammo. I'm in some gun clubs and I hear many problems about their ammo. Jamming guns, ammo coming apart, primers falling out. Some of the guys took their guns to gunsmiths to take the guns apart to remove bad ammo. No returns, No refunds. Your problems are your problems. If I could give this place no stars, I would. I did google the owners, they seem to move around with different names including a court case. Sooo, just say No to this place.
