Ethanol Free Gasoline here!!! Most of their traffic is for boats (duh!) but they happen to sell ethanol free gas here and, if you happen to ride a motorcycle that needs ethanol free gas, here you go! The staff is happy to sell me 2-3 gallons of high test Dino-fuel for my thirsty Suzuki DRZ and be knowledgeable about motorcycles as well as boats! I should buy a boat just to go here! read more

The BEST boat mechanics ever!!! We bought a boat from a friend that had low hrs and sat in a garage for 8yrs but unfortunately for us it wouldn't idle right! My husband called many mechanics and was told very rudely... "we don't have time" " it'll be to much work" even... "there's no engine like that" -It's a merc 3.0 fuel injected?!? We were so deflated didn't know what to do!! until we were told to call North Lake Marina. When my husband called North Lake Marina he just about cried! Kyle listened, gave suggestions and said he could get it in within the month. Took it in Monday by Friday it was done. They will be are forever boat mechanics!! read more

Kyle, in service, is great. He diagnosed a problem with the Guardian protection on our MerCruiser 4.3L MPI without even taking the boat in. We had been fighting a problem of the Guardian low water PSI alarm and engine partial power shutdown for a couple years and had tried many things and paid others for multiple attempts to fix the issue. On his suggestion we did a simple and inexpensive thermostat replacement ourselves, and the problem of PSI (not overheating) was solved. It appears to have been due to restricted flow through the thermostat No other repair facility had put together that the problem was possibly an issue with the thermostat flow being restricted and not sensors or water pump and impeller or kinked or blocked hoses that had all been replaced or tried. We will be going to North Lake Marina next time we need any help. Greg read more

Updating my review as now I've moored my boat here for the past few years. North Lake Marina is one of the few places that will treat you like family, they have employees that truly care for their customers. Susan the office manager keeps everything running so smooth here, I'm inspired to be able to pay it forward and help others like they've helped me. Previously I was moored at Newport Yacht Basin then later Carillon Point. Location wise, I liked Carillon point the best but there were no covered slips. Prices are fair here, people are great and they have one of the few ethanol free gas pumps. I think it's the only ethanol free gas pump on Lake Wa? Tom, one of the owners is one of the most down to earth guys ever. Ask him if he's been working out next time you see him! Highly recommend. read more

Fantastic Family Owned Business We have been using North Lake Marina for the past three years and have been delighted by the friendliness of the family and staff. This beats corporate owned marinas by a mile! Today, Tom, one of the owners spent over an hour helping me put up a tarp over the slip to keep bird and spider droppings from getting on the boat. He was cheerful, friendly and knew exactly how to do it. Where else do you find such great service with no extra charge but with a smile and a story along the way. They have always serviced and winterized the boat with expertise and cost effectively. Last year they loaned us tools to service the battery without hesitation. They told me about planned upgrades as they can afford it. We're here and happy and don't plan on leaving. read more

I've been mooring my boat here for the last four years, great staff, great service, and pretty good rates for moorage on Lake Washington. The marina itself is getting a little aged and the docks could certainly use some improvement. On the water fueling is a big plus, as well as being able to charge it to your account. The shop has many of your boating needs, and although they do sell ice, it be nice if they had a few other "boating grocery items" available. read more

During a recent storm, my boat broke free from the moorage at a nearby marina. Someone saw the boat floating and called North Lake Marina. Although it wasn't one of their boats, Kyle towed it in and used my insurance information on the boat to contact me. He didn't have to do this- he could have ignored the phone call and nobody would have ever known. This was amazing customer service considering I'm not even a customer there. North Lake Marina failed to handle a rather difficult case in a timely and professional manner for me. The problem after over a year is still ongoing! In my case I had a jet-boat that was overheating after about 1/2 hour of operation and would go into 'limp' mode. I first took my boat in to I90 Marine (now out of business) and the problem was claimed to have been fixed in a week but after testing many months later (it was fall) I found the problem still existed but I90 Marine was out of business. I then found North Shore Marina as one of the few places that handles jet-boats in the area and asked them to look at early in 2009. They spent all spring and summer "working" on it and finally claimed it was fixed in the fall. I negeotiated for them to hold the boat for the winter while I paied the $3000 bill over time. A few weeks ago (summer of 2010) I got the boat back and noticed that the new battery they got for me was left connected all winter and was nearly cell reversed when I picked it up. Also the strap to my boat cover was missing and my blower moter was not functioning like it was when I brought it in. They gave me $20 to go find myself a strap from somewhere for the cover and sort of blew off my complaint about the blower motor ("You have an electric motor in a marine environment what do you expect?" - however for the entire year it was in their posession the boat was only briefly in the water if at all for testing.). I managed to get the battery charged and did a host of things (tabs, gear box oil change, new tires and bearings for the trailor) to get the boat worthy for sea and took it out yesterday near Fox Island. After 1/2 hour of operation it failed just like it had before. It took me 4 hours to limp back to a boat that would tow me in the rest of the way) So my boat has been OOC for two full boating seasons now and it is exhibiting the exact same symptoms I complained of in the fall of 2008 to I90 Marine. They have a 90 day waranty on their work but after a year with them working on it I with no solution I wonder what that waranty is worth. The problem is admittedly complex and difficult to solve (oh yeah, the same technician that worked on it at I90 Marine was hired by them and worked on my boat the second time.) but I would think after all the work they had done they would have at least have throughly tested it to ensure it was fixed before saying so!!! I am very disappointed in these guys. I have to give them some stars because they negeotiated storing the boat for me all winter - but I would rather they have known it was busted still and could have spent the winter working on it. Overall I just get the feeling the don't really care how many boating seasons it takes to service their customers and they don't seem to pay much attention to details or my property. read more
