He only does injections. I'm diabetic and unfortunately cannot have injections. (All was included in paperwork I filled out weeks ago) to which they ask me if I'd like to keep my appointment to be referred out again. (I pay out of pocket so this was insult to injury) I don't want to be horribly in pain waiting for another dr. That isn't how good pain management works. Anyway. This was my worse experience ever. i have been getting treated at the pain clinic in Naples after…read moremoving from NYC and being on workman compensation for a Wrist injury. My workman compensation case ended but i still needed the wrist injections which helps with the pain for approximately 6-9 month. I called the clinic 3 weeks in advance, informed them that i would be using my private insurance, gave them all the details of my insurance. What should have been a smooth transition ended up with Dr Vidur Ghantiwala being very disrespectful to me. The way he spoke to me was so disrespectful, inappropriate and unacceptable. I left the clinic and decided never to return again.I called the clinic on the morning of my visit before going into the clinic and was told to come in for my treatment, I explained to the customer service person that i live an hour away and would like to make sure everything is straightened out before wasting time and gas to come into the clinic. I was assured that everything was straightened out. let me remind you that i had been in touch with them for the last 3 weeks regarding my insurance information. Upon arriving at the clinic, after paying my copay, i was taken to the treatment room where my vital signs were done. After some time Dr Vidur Ghantiwala came in to the treatment room, he appeared to be angry and stated to me " you're not going to be happy because you are not going to be able to get your injection today". I states to him you guys had more than enough time to switch from workman compensation to my private insurance. He made such a rude and nasty comment to me, instead of understanding of the hour travel i just made to come to the clinic that i decided if i was going to be treated that day i wanted my copay refunded and i decided that i would NEVER go back to this clinic again. The first thing I was struck by was that all of my X-rays were taken in the standing, weight bearing position. This was the first time I had experienced that, only to later review the literature and learn that this, in fact , is best practices. Then in my exam and discussion with Dr. Biggs, I found him to be truly interested in treating me, the patient and not my problematic scans. He was easy to talk to, listened carefully and we collaboratively decided on a treatment plan. It was refreshing!. Through his attentive listening skills, he addressed an unrelated matter of concern to me. It was unexpected and much appreciated! My experience with Dr Biggs and his office staff was very positive.

Understand, it wasn't the words that got to me. It was the attitude. After briefly reflecting on this I determined this was not an office I was willing to deal with. I handed back the clipboard and told her I changed my mind about using their services. I turned around and left. I'm researching other doctor options. While trying to be fair, but still provide a review, I didn't think it fair to rate it one star since it had nothing to do with the medical side. It was a staff issue.
