The doctor care is good. The office and accounting staff is inadequate. They charge for your insurance deductible without checking to see that you have already met it....then try to get a refund. They are sure to take your money, very bad at reimbursement. read more

Front desk staff is professional, friendly and efficient. However, Dr. Ghantiwala is terrible. He's rude, condescending, arrogant, curt, impatient, humorless and unkind. Most egregiously, he will make your pain WORSE and then refuse to take any responsibility. Stay away from this mean man. read more

I have been going to Korunda for many years for injections for stenosis, etc. Have not been for over a year due to back relief. I had a terrible time making an appointment recently for a recurrence of back pain. No one answered all day and finally left a message with the answering service. Surprised to get a call at 6pm. Made an appointment. Saw a PA who gave me the wrong patient's instructions for further appointment. Very flustered. Made my MRI appointment, injection, and follow up. The auth request was not sent in until 1 day before the injection. Denied and my appointment had to be cancelled. They have become a mess since they expanded. I am so disgusted with them. Now all I want is my MRI to go someplace else. read more

I have been going to this practice for two years. Dr. Korunda does not have a good bedside manner and the front office staff is nice but overworked. If the practice does not have enough people to ensure proper treatment of their patients they should not take any new patients. I will be moving my relationship elsewhere. read more

The doctor and staff have always been great when you get in, but trying to get an appt is exasperating. I've called for 2 days almost hourly and no one answers. Verizon message says person is busy call back later. I've also gone on website to request an appt but no one has called to schedule. Maybe they need to hire more office staff. I enjoyed my meetings with Dr. George Arcos. The follow up, however, is non existent. He simply cannot get you the help you need and won't do a phone call with you. All I can say is do not waste your time with him. He may be good, he may be well intentioned, he won't do anything for you. read more

I'm seeing a Dr. at Korunda as my GP. Here's the issue. If you ever leave a message regarding a Rx refill or appointment you will probably see your funeral home before they return your call. Unethical, predatory practice. Doctor takes advantage of people in pain. I had a terrible muscle spasm that has healed since and I was beside myself with pain for months. I finally decided to go to Dr. Mirpuri for relief. All I got was wild speculation on diseases I may have, was treated like a drug addict (I'm no such thing) and a bill that included $4400 for a little "urine test (22!) that we give everyone, to be fair." Please be careful; when you are in pain you may not notice the vultures. It is perfectly bizarre that a little middle-aged school teacher like me would be tested for heroin, benzodiazepines, barbiturates, cocaine, buprenorphine, muscle relaxers, opiates, methadone, fentanyl, gabapentin, ketamine and norketamine, methylenedioxyamphetamines, opioids (again), amphetamines (again), oxycodone, antidepressants, pregabalin, tapentadol, cannibinoids, sedative hypnotics, phencyclidine. I have no idea what most of that stuff is. I don't take drugs. Did I mention I am an educator? When I asked for my records so I can consult the authorities, guess what? Yep, they want more money. $1 per page. read more

The doctor I see at this practice gives me very little personal attention. He asks a few questions then writes up my prescription renewal. Easy money for them. If they did this right that would be sufficient. However they failed to call in my prescription to my pharmacy. When I was notified by my pharmacy that my prescription needed to be renewed I asked them to contact my doctor at Korunda pain management. After two attempts the pharmacy said they could do no more. Then Korunda pain management calls me to say that my pharmacy is asking for reauthorization and that I need make an appointment with my Doctor to get one. I told them I just did a few weeks ago and that was the whole purpose of my visit! (Time to scream.) After some back and forth they finally called in the Rx but I would not receive the meds for 10 days (Mail order service). Due to all of the delays I would be out of medication shortly. I asked Korunda if I could get a temporary prescription for ten days, and they said I needed to make an appointment with the doctor for him to give me a prescription. (Time to scream again.) I explained the situation all over again and they said they would get me a ten day script. I personally went to pick it up (they had to look for it) and brought it to my pharmacy. The pharmacy called the next day and said they could not fill it because there was another prescription active which showed that it was not time for me to get any more meds. This was the prescription that Korunda finally sent in a month late! I explained the whole situation all over again. They called my doctor and got the OK. Korunda's office staff is a mess. I just called gain asking for a copy of one of my records that I had brought to them on my last visit. The receptionist says she cannot do that. I said, "Why not? It was my record and I brought them to you to make a copy and you never gave me my copy back." She put my on hold to check. After waiting ten minutes I got so frustrated I hung up and wrote this. I am now seeking another pain management doctor. If you like frustration you will love Korunda! read more

I have been going to Korunda Pain Management for 2yrs now. The staff is pleasant, helpful and respectful. I see Dr. Korunda and he is awesome, the most considerate and nicest Dr. I have ever dealt with. When he comes in the room Dr. Korunda calls me by Name and ask how I'm doing. He listens to what I say and then when I get an injection Dr. Korunda apologies when he puts pressure on where it hurts, then when he injections the needle he explains everything he is doing and agains says I'm sorry for hurting you. In all my years of seeing Drs. that over 40yrs. Not one Dr. has been this awesome. Dr. Korunda is the BEST!!!! read more

Had appointment scheduled for a month by my orthopedic surgeon. Got there 45 minutes early as asked to do. No paperwork needed which was a pleasant surprise . Hour 15 later I get called up and told they can do the test today because I had never had an original appointment with their doctor. I would have to reschedule an appointment then schedule my test. If a practice can't do the abc's of an appointment right a month in advance I have no reason to trust them for anything that might be more difficult. read more

Very bad experience!! They will tell you they are going to charge you one price and then 8 months later call you up out of the blue and state you still owe them money. When you look into it, you find out they changed all the prices you were originally told and increased them. When you call them out, they will state that the contract you sign as a new patient gives them the right to change the pricing of any procedure basically at any point!! When you ask why it took so long to be informed of the unpaid balance, you will be told that they made a mistake and didn't charge enough at the time of your visit. Get ready to shell out a small fortune if you plan on going here regardless if you have good health insurance or not!!! read more

I would not recommend going to this doctors office if you care how you are treated by staff. I've had a few inconveniences in the past but today was a whole new experience. They blatantly refused to see me unless I paid out of pocket since there was a glitch in THEIR system showing my insurance as inactive. I called my insurance company to see what was going on and they said there was no problem with my insurance its always been active. I have been to this doctor many times. I find it extremely interesting that the same insurance that has never been cut off all of a sudden became unavailable. They refused to accept a signed confirmation fax from my insurance company saying my insurance was in good standing. If you want to avoid a hassle and be treated with respect as a patient dont go here. The doctors are great but its not worth the nightmare of dealing with their office and billing staff. Hence to say I will be finding a new doctor. read more

i have been going to korunda pain management fo almost two years ,i see dr fucsh he been veryy good with me and i know i havent been easy to deal with at times. due to extreme pain and a heart condition i know i have been pretty craxy at times and not tottally cooperative due to pain and illness .but he has been tolerant and understanding .thank u dr .he has worked at helping me and the last procedure worked really good.thank u again dr and please dont give up on me. read more
