They billed Medicare for far more time / cost than I experienced. During the first visit I was only in the building for 15 minutes as I was the first patient of the day. They billed Medicare for an exam which lasted more than 45 min. This is Fraud and it costs us all more money. Medicare paid them above the Medicare allowable on the CMS Physician Fee Schedule. They want me to pay excessive fees beyond reason - They are cheating Medicare and us all.

I knew there was a problem when she could not even read the results of a blood test. 2 of the 3 staff were very nice the 3rd got upset when I referred to her as an assistant. She wanted to be referred to as a Medical assistant to Dr. Shapiro. When I told her Shapiro was not a Dr of Medicine she went out and told Shapiro who came into the office and was as nasty as can be calling me names but in a whisper admitted to her lack of and MD credential. My recommendation is stay away!!!!!!!!!!

Which has never been a problem before. My prescriptions had completely ran out and I need at least a re-up on my Dexcom monitoring device, which has nothing to do with my blood sugars other than monitoring. The nurse told me I have to be seen with bloodwork done. I told her I am in debt with LabCorp and I couldn't afford bloodwork at this moment. I just need sensors prescription re-up that will give me time to pay off LabCorp and get blood work done so they can assess my insulin needs. I've always understood the protocol and I don't have a problem with it. With even the fact that I am in a hardship situation financially she still would not do the prescription or talk to anybody about it. I have never been retreated so coldly and rudely to have a protocol put above my life. I would've even have taken a sample but no, I guess it's either get your blood work done or die. So I hope anybody reading this understands what they're getting themselves into when they go to this doctor's office. Dr. offices are supposed to help people not make things worse. I've always been a good patient for them and now it seems I am not.

Nurse Melissa has terrible attitude, not interested in helping people. Why is she even there? Blood was taken and never tested!!! It was still on the desk when we left. After getting a shot she was asked to eat some food to see if she can tolerate it! They brought her Mexican food, beans, rice and pork!!! Of course she could not eat it. The nurse brought her apple sauce. We were sent home when my wife threw up again, this time the apple sauce. Beyond the lack a of care and attention by staff, to the point of not even feeding me, this review is in regard to sexual harassment that I was subjected to while in intense pain and very weak. Female nurse Gabby was my day nurse for two days. Gabby repeatedly asked me if I was naked under my gown. On more than one occasion, as I was getting back into bed with assistance, felt my calf and told me how much she liked them. At one point, as I was getting up to go to the bathroom, again with assistance, she told me that if ai felt dizzy, I could "grab her ass". If the genders in this story were reversed, this nurse would be in jail. As things stand now, the Hospitals Patient Liaison has told me that she filed a complaint on this issue. They will not provide me with Gabby's full name or license number so that I can file a complaint with the Florida Board of Nursing. I have asked more than once for some kind of documentation regarding this complaint that she tells me she filed, but they continue to ignore me. I have been in contact since this experience With other doctors, medical professionals and the local news station. I am not letting this go after being ignored. Do not ever go the this hospital for any kind of care. You will be ignored and mistreated and then ignore again when you try and advocate for yourself.
