There were many times in the past I ate here with org friends, and I usually have the same order - the noodles with the three kinds of mushroom (shiitake, button, and I think the last one is tengang-daga). This dish is really good and even non-vegetarian friends like it. Aside from the mushrooms, it has bok choy and onion leaves. And eating these noodles for me is a different experience each time, because I try different kinds of noodles to go with the vegetables. The waiters do not only tell you the available noodles to choose from; they actually show you. So far my favorite is the herb noodles, and the next one is the empress hair (which is very thin, like angel hair pasta, and the texture ends up finer, the taste of the soup more intense). Sometimes I also try whole-wheat noodles for a change.
I was able to taste some congee ordered by a friend - it was hot and divine, the perfect comfort food too. One time our group also ordered some veggies like Taiwan pechay with oyster sauce - their veggies are quite crispy and served in a savory sauce too. read more
