    Longonisa breakfast set!

If you're looking for a quick, tasty and cheap breakfast spot, Kanto Hits the spot! They've got all the basic breakfast foods including tocino, longonisa, beef tapa with rice & egg including some pancakes and waffle They were very nice and helpful for my girlfriend who's never had Filipino breakfast. Also the restaurant itself was very clean and comfortable with fans to cool you down I got Longgonisa Rice & Eggs with a mango shake and I was in heaven. So simple but so delicious.

    Ube pancake

We came at 10Am on a Monday and there was no line. The servers were friendly. Note that you have to go up the the cashier and order your food and they bring the food out for you. We got the porkbelky, longganisa and a side of garlic honey chicken. They were all very good and the honey garlic chicken was the best, super crispy and delicious Our friend tried ube pancakes and they were also really good, not too sweet.

I am an active advocate that Breakfast food is good at any time of the day, whether it is for lunch or dinner. Favorites from the Kanto Boy selection (also know as Silog meals) : Crispy Corned Beef (P110), Spanish Sardines Tempura (P110), and New Zealand Beef Tapa (P125) Each plate is served with freestyle egg whether you like it scrambled, sunny side up, or POACHED. Eggs Benedict is a good choice too. You can choose your own viand with freestyle menu and make your own breakfast plate. I like everything with bacon and I pair it with waffles for P120. I got disappointed with the Scramble drink. It's my favorite shaved ice drink back in grade school. Kanto's ice scramble tastes extra sweet, it is literally a sugar in a cup.

Almost everything on their menu is less than Php100.xx. Let me say that again in case you didn't understand: ALMOST EVERYTHING ON THEIR MENU IS LESS THAN ONE HUNDRED PESOS. Okay, let me clarify in case this isn't having the impact it deserves. Their menu is three pages long. They offer all-day breakfast meals -- silogs, pancakes, specialty coffees, and such. And except for three things (New Zealand Beef Tapa, Pork & Beans with Crispy Pork and Poached Eggs, and the Pancake Platter, which are all less than Php200.xx), nothing breaches the Php100.xx mark. And the best part is the staff there will always greet you 'good morning' when you walk through the door, no matter what time it is. Because in this establishment, it's always breakfast time.

    Scramble!

My dad and I were out late (yet again) and hungry (yet again) so we decided to finally give Kanto Freestyle Breakfast a try. We were quite lucky when we got there and got a table at once. I ordered the hashbrown topped with poached eggs and a glass of scramble. This is probably the most satisfaction I've had for a meal that cost me less than PhP150. The hashbrowns were cooked perfectly - crunchy and golden brown on the outside and immaculate inside. Topped with eggs that are poached well, it's as close to cheap-food perfection as it can get. The side of tomatoes with dollops of pesto is a good "refresher" between bites to cleanse the palate. The scramble? Holy moley their scramble! It's as good as I remember scramble from my childhood. I could seriously have had two glasses if only I wasn't too full from eating the hashbrowns too fast. Yup, it was THAT GOOD!

Croque Madam was excellent, so was the eggs Benedict, best of all the prices are so reasonable! My new favorite late night spot

Excellent customer service with delicious meals and plenty of options on their menu. This is our second time dining at Locavore but first time at Brixton Street in Estancia location. Customer service at Brixton Street, Estancia is consistent with the BGC location. The staff is also very well versed with food allergies. The staff was great every step of the way from seating, to ordering, to delivering our orders on a timely manner and until the very end. Our party of 11 ordered 2 of everything like to name a few of what we ordered are, Pakbet Ratatouille, Octadobo, Oyster Palabok sa Puti, Tapsilog, Boneless Lechon Belly, Dragonfruit chips and many more. We look forward to dining at Locavore every time we visit Philippines. Locavore both provided delicious food and excellent customer service.

I'd been wanting to try Filipino food, and this place came highly recommended by some locals. The food was incredible. I tried the sizzling sinigang, and it completely surprised me. The flavor was sour, savory, and comforting all at once. I also had the oyster sisig, which was crispy, rich, and perfect with a cold San Miguel beer. Every dish came out hot and well-presented. The restaurant itself has a great vibe!!! lively but not too loud. The staff were really friendly and helpful, especially since I wasn't too familiar with Filipino dishes. They explained what everything was and even suggested a few must-tries. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the Philippines. And I'll definitely come back next time!

The portion was moderate and it can feed 2 people. It was hot and crunchy and the sauce was pretty good. The pinakbet with pork liempo was awesome, please keep in mind that pinakbet in some regions are cooked without the sabaw (sauce). The eggplant was definitely fried. The bitter melon and the kombucha squash were steamed well. The pork was super crunchy!!! Please also note that one order of pinakbet will probably good for 2 people but I can definitely devour it on my own! The kare kare with crispy pork was also good. The sauce was slurry and not too thick. The string beans, banana heart (puso ng saging) and bok choy were steamed and cooked well. They were not soggy but crunchy. Also the eggplant was fried and added with the sauce. When you order kare kare it automatically comes with sautéed shrimp paste. This dish alone will probably feed 4 people. Overall the service was great, we did not wait long for the food, and we were seated right away since we arrived there around 11:45ish. The restaurant was clean and quite cozy. There's one bathroom for both genders. Total of all the meals including 1 sugarcane calamansi juice refill P1745.00 (also includes gratuity charges).

Back then, if you've been living in Manila for most of your life, the words "food" and "court" in the same sentence never really sounded appetizing. Enter Hole in the Wall. I've been here a few times already, but stepping inside its huge hip maze of interiors never ceases to excite me. I'm not sure if it's the thrill of choosing what meal to try next or just the nice aesthetic of literally everything, that excites me more. On my first visit, I made sure to first try the super popular fried chicken from Bad Bird. As a big fan Southern-style fried chicken, I wasn't disappointed. The crispy skin had a yummy seasoning that's new to the palette, very different compared to my other favorites, such as the Chickenjoy from Jollibee and the Pan Fried Chicken from Pancake House. And there's something about their side dishes that just completes the whole meal. The corn on the cob with bonito flakes, sweet and umami flavors melting in your mouth, was to die for. The coleslaw provided a nice acidic break from the saltiness of the chicken. The meal was a fun experience itself. Just the other day, I tried the Pastrami on Rye from Mr. Delicious and it was monstrous--just plain impressive in terms of size. I didn't even attempt to bite on the entire stack, using my fork and knife like a pretentious chick on a first date instead. Each bite off the monster-wich was packed with so many different flavors, though the pastrami still easily emerges as the hero of the dish. And let's not get started on the sweet potato chips. I'm not a big sweet potato-lover, but damn, the portion was more than satisfying. If there's anything I'd like modified, I just wish there was a bit more of the veggie pickles to cut through all the meat and fat. For now, I'll end this review right here. If it isn't yet so obvious, I'll probably be back here in no time to try a different food stall or two.
