I've driven by this building before but never stopped until one afternoon when my husband and I decided to check it out. I'm so glad we did! The space is much larger than it looks from the outside and has a relaxed, welcoming vibe inside. We started with a beer flight, my husband's favorite was Watching Bees. He liked it so much he bought a four-pack to take home. I really liked the sangria beer but want to go back to try Cálmate because they were out of it the day we were there. A nice bonus is that you can bring your own food, or they have a small selection of snacks available for purchase. Friendly staff, great beers, and a laid-back atmosphere! Cool atmosphere with a good beer selection. There's outdoor seating available and their beer menu is on Untapped. Not sure if it's summer humidity but inside smelled a little musty and outside we could smell the old spent grains when the wind blew. Minus the smells, a cool place! read more

My husband and I went here for the first time last night! We were so surprised that we never knew it existed. We love beer! Maybe better advertisement? Beer was great. Could use a few more choices (Wheat beer etc.) There was a food truck outside the brewery that served wings, and that was tasty and convenient! Service was very good. We will be back! read more

This was an unusual visit, not as regular customers but attending a fundraiser for a local charity. Thank you for supporting The Women's Center! The regular menu is only beer/liquid; food can be purchased outside and brought in. (We got food from the food truck outside.) The atmosphere is nice looking and very minimalist in its decor. Bar seating and mismatched tables and chairs make it easy to combine tables for party sizes as needed. The noise level is extremely high with cement floors and no sound buffers. It was exhausting after a short time. And this may be the issue with the event, but the organization behind the bar was messy, and it was hard to get a drink quickly. I am not sure if the bartenders were "guest tenders" for the event so again, this may not be a true reflection of the business regularly. If you are a true beer lover, I am sure this place would be a good one to try. I am obviously not the demographic, but I appreciate a place for others who can find some fun. read more

Fantastic brewery located in downtown Waukesha. Welcoming atmosphere in a historic building (which also ironically housed a brewery about a hundred years ago). Decent spread of beer types with a heavier focus on IPAs and sours. Usually has a food truck posted up outside for dinner on weeknights, and lunch/dinner on weekends. Service has always been excellent whenever we go. Very family friendly, with lots of games/activities to keep kids entertained. read more

New Waukesha Hotspot! The building itself is awesome, as a Waukesha native I've seen this location countless times but never knew what possibilities awaited. Hubby and I got the Recess Time and Family Function and both were very very good! The bar service was quick, friendly and they know how to pour their beers. I would highly recommend this brewery to anyone looking to try something new in the Waukesha and surrounding area. Cool new brewery for Waukesha. There's a good mix of beers, with a style for everyone. Hopefully they'll rotate beers over time and maybe expand to more taps at one time as well. The beers were good. Parking situation isn't great. No dedicated lot so it's either one of a few street spots or the parking structure and walking. The Qdoba lot seems hit or miss. read more

Good brewery with some good beers. I think this was a place that fits into Waukesha well and compliments the downtown area well. I ordered Recess Time and it was delicious - they let me try a little bit of 2 different beers to figure out what I'd order. Parking was tricky and we got yelled at by security across the street to move our cars. Parking only seems to be allowed on the street or in the parking garage a little down the road. Would be a cool venue for an event. Big garage doors open and bring in a good flow of air. A couple of picnic tables and corn hole game outside. read more

First time here, not going to be the last. Love the open atmosphere, plenty of room. Patrons were very friendly and welcoming, the staff was also very welcoming, and also provided great service. I tried the NE IPA (Haus Sauce), the hazy IPA and the blonde ale (can't remember the names), and all three were very good, I'm happy that I wasn't disappointed. I definitely will be back. If I were to mention a downfall, it's that they don't have a dedicated parking lot NEXT to their establishment. The fact that I wasn't familiar with the surrounding area, parking sucked. The businesses across the street had security watching that lot. The parking structure and surrounding side streets had two hour parking, and wasn't brave enough to park at the other business lots (had car towed once). But overall, parking isn't what it's about, just an annoyance. Give this place a shot, I'm confident you won't be disappointed. read more

Went to North Pillar on Saturday, opening day for the public. The place was packed around 2PM. For a new business they handled the crowd quite well. This will be a great spot to relax with a nice micro-brewed beer. My wife & I had the F@mily Function Red. It was a good-sized serving, seemed a very generous 16 oz. There were no seats available, so we stood in the back room. A minute later we were invited to join three ladies sitting around a coffee table. They adjusted their seats and we found ourselves in the nicest and most comfortable chairs. North Pillar has a neighborly, family friendly atmosphere, embracing the slogan "Beer for the Neighbors". The place is historic and it's great to see it put back to its original use. We will definitely return to try some of the other beers. read more

This place has a great vibe and great beer selection. We've been a few times, and even brought out of town guests from TX, and everyone has loved it. A couple odd things from last time we visited: 1) we went one night specifically in the mood for their giant pretzel and some beers, and they had stopped serving those while food truck is present. Understandable I guess, but the week before they were serving them while food truck was there. Sorry. We don't do food trucks. Had one beer and left. And 2.) the place was overrun with kids on a Friday night. Even looked like at least one kiddy birthday party. We mentioned this to friends who said they had stopped there recently and left immediately for exactly that reason. Just something to keep in mind, if you're expecting a visit to a brewery to be an adult experience. read more
