First, this trainer (Joanne) takes her job way more seriously than other trainers I've worked with…read more She's got multiple certifications, competes professionally in all-natural body-building/fitness events, is always researching new stuff to help us meet our goals and keeps things interesting (recently - we're using hippity-hops in a bootcamp class - fun and surprisingly difficult!). Next, she specializes in what I like to call "charmful armfuls". That's not to say if you want to do a marathon or climb a mountain, she won't whip your average butt into warrior shape. But if you are one of those gals that has struggled with being overweight - even just 10-20 lbs - this is the trainer for you. She's lived it herself, which makes a big difference in her approach. I've never felt intimidated, uncomfortable or self-conscious working with Joanne. This industry is full of people who are totally "full of themselves" and, IMO, not terribly bright. That couldn't be less true about Joanne. Imagine a trainer with an MBA - so she's smart - and yet she opted out to do this kind of work and her entire focus is YOU. She'll provide you with a diet plan tailored to your likes/dislikes (I despise onions and salmon, for example), pair you up with a "workout buddy" (so you can save $ on the cost of training), even bring you samples of protein powders, supplements, etc. so you can try them out before you buy something. And NO - she doesn't sell any of that stuff, so she's not pushing products on you so she can make a commission. Location of the studio is good - and it's bigger than the last place she was at, which was oddly-shaped/felt cramped and didn't have any parking. That was probably my biggest "complaint" - no place to park. The new studio has a lot of parking (in the back, if not in front) so I'm a happy camper now!

All the instructors have been wonderful (JJ, Stephanie, Moriah & Jenn), the studio is so clean and calming, and watching the sunrise through the gorgeous etched windows has been amazing! The healthy smoothies are a delicious treat after class, and I can't wait to try the coffee. I wish I could stay for the upcoming plant exchange! It's a family owned and run business and they are really authentic and genuine people. JJ and Jen offer amazing level 1 and advanced 6am classes if you're an early riser like me. Justin and Krista's classes are challenging, exciting and show you how capable and strong you are. Moriah's Saturday morning class makes you feel so empowered, I would plan my weekend around it because I left feeling so good. This place is a sanctuary from your busy life. If you're thinking of trying it, go for it 100%. Best decision I made when moving here. You won't regret how strong (my arms, abs and back are so toned now) and mobile it makes you feel.
