Odd, as nothing really needed to be "cooked" very long. I noticed immediately that a majority of the tables were disgusting and there are flies buzzing around. In any case, I still decided to order my food as "dine in." I did some shopping while I was waiting, and of course, while I was standing in line (almost 20 minutes later) my beeper went off. You cannot silence it, so I ended up abandoning my place in one of the three cash register lines. Since there are only 3 lines, they do not move quickly. This is prime time on a Saturday, mind you. I went to turn in the beeper and get my soup. The soup comes in a flaming box with a bowl shaped opening with feet, where the stainless seet bowl sits. Now, I get that the flaming box is meant to keep your soup hot... However, WE ARE IN HAWAII. The ambient temperature isn't going to cool down the soup dramatically. IN FACT, I HAVE BEEN SITTING HERE WAITING FOR THE FLAME TO GO OUT, BECAUSE MY SOUP IS TOO HOT TO EAT. Additionally, because the bowl sits on feet, the beef bones weight keeps spilling the soup off one end. The soup is delicious, but this is the stupidest execution and presentation of something meant to be delicious and simple. I personally like looking at authentic Japanese products, fresh flowers, and beautiful produce. This location also had items from the Philippines! I also saw Sanrio (Hello Kitty) cosmetics and really cute plushies! The New Years mochi and kadomatsu for good luck were available for everyone! The traditional merchandise is comforting! I like Times, but I prefer patronizing stores with loyalty programs. I'll go here if I need to... I appreciate that it's clean, well-lit, and organized!

I opened the sausage to cook it that night after it had thawed and noticed a wierd smell. I stopped and bagged it up and went back to the store to get a refund and show them that it is not right or safe. I did not have the receipt and the manager who had checked me out earlier that day did remembered me but she would not refund me after explaining and showing her the 2 year old expired sausage and wrapper. She said she wouldn't refund me without a receipt. I have read as well this isn't the first time this store has done this selling expired products! I feel jf the manager remembers me, receipt or not she should have refunded me!! I had emailed Times Corporate office in Honolulu explaining/complaining about the situation and they don't even bother replying back to me. Needless to say I will never shop there again!
