After using the company once, I was happy with the results and wanted to use this again. I had a…read moremuch different experience than the first time. They told me they would send someone out to take measurements the following day, but never called me back to tell me when. That threw off our schedule, and I had to be the one to follow up with them the next morning asking if anyone was coming. They said they left early for the day, so they forget to follow up with me... We scheduled for the following day, and the guy that came out was over 30 minutes late, which made me run late for my work meeting. They advertise granite starting at $35/square foot with install and materials, which would have meant my countertops should have been around $3,150.00, but they ended up quoting me over $7,000.00! I told them I just needed something basic as we were planning on selling the house. I asked what happened with the drastic price difference, and they sent me pictures of the granite they had for $35/square foot, which were hideous and would clash with our island. I told them so, and they never responded with any alternative. Also, I'm not fond of doing everything by text if I'm spending $7,000.00. I guess I'll be using a different company.

I contacted AA Granite based on their online reviews. I'm…read morevery pleased with the service and quality of work from everyone who helped complete this job. Scott from AA Granite was available to me in phone conversations, and in texts. The first time we talked on the phone, and before I asked for an estimate, Scott answered a long list of questions I had. He helped me understand everything I had been puzzling over. And he continued to advise me after we had placed the deposit, and all the way through the project. The person who came by to measure went over the measurements twice with me and helped me understand my final choices for edging and backsplash. Whoever planned the layout from our slab, made a beautiful artistic choice -- centering some of the subtle vein work in the slab to fall between the two sinks. Guys doing the install-- terrific work. And the guys coming by to drop off some of our extra slab were great & easy to work with too. I definitely recommend using AA Granite!

The experienced staff quickly knew what I would want, the Green Rain Forest Marble, but allowed me to discover with over 30 other pieces. Yes, that was the piece! So many options! The expert craftsmanship was evident as a wise person came out to measure and offer suggestions. Within a few weeks as planed, out came the finished top. It was just want I wanted!

Calyx was the only employee there that was kind & helpful, thank you we appreciate YOU. This is my second review for DFW Stoneworks, and I'm deeply disappointed to report that the issues with our installation remain unresolved. Today is Friday, and the owner had committed to showing up to finish the job. It's now nearly 10 a.m., and no one has arrived or communicated with my husband. To make matters worse, we discovered that during yesterday's installation, holes for the kitchen sink valves and our children's vanity faucets were not drilled--an oversight that should never happen in a professional installation. I also want to express how deeply upset I am about the rectangle sinks that were installed in our kids' bathrooms. I specifically requested oval sinks, but I accepted the change kindly--only to find that DFW Stoneworks didn't even provide drains for the rectangle sinks they chose. To make it worse, the sinks were scratched and dinged upon installation. The sinks were also undermounted, despite the fact that both Ryan and the installer knew they were supposed to be top mounted. This was not only against our request, but blatantly ignored -- and that is not acceptable. It gets worse. I caught the granite installers on camera using a Sharpie to mark over scratches they made on our custom-painted cabinets. I confronted the installer on video and told him not to do that, not to hide the damage. After escalating the issue via email to the entire company, I asked that if the message was not for Ryan directly, someone needed to get it in front of him immediately. When Caleb finally spoke to Ryan, Ryan responded with arrogance and dismissiveness, saying we could just "wash off the Sharpie." That's not the point. These are custom-painted cabinets that they damaged, and now we are left dealing with the consequences. Ryan now has until Wednesday to provide a reasonable credit to Caleb for the damage, the unprofessional conduct, and the continued delays. And let me be very clear: this is not about one bad day or one mistake. Ryan himself admitted that my previous review caused a "big hit" to his company. But I will continue to speak up until this job is done right, because clearly, our experience mirrors that of many other customers over the years. Do your research: check reviews on Google and the BBB. You'll see the same patterns we've experienced -- poor communication, delays, installation issues, and a complete lack of accountability. The reviews are awful! I take no joy in writing this. I simply want the truth to be heard. I cannot in good conscience recommend DFW Stoneworks to anyone. From the top down, this company has demonstrated a disturbing lack of professionalism and care. Ryan (owner) I've never been so disgusted & disappointed in a contractor in my life & we've had MANY. I also hope you keep your word & call my husband Wednesday with that amount to credit. You are a pompous & awful owner. And how dare you insult Calyx, the only employee who gave a damn!
