We hired Erik for a large landscaping project that included completely re-sodding our yard,…read moreremoving trees and bushes, and repairing our sprinkler system. Unfortunately, our experience has been extremely frustrating due to poor communication, lack of follow through, and incomplete work despite full payment. Throughout the project, Erik repeatedly told us he would come to our house on a certain day and then simply would not show up. Most of the time, we received no text or update, and he would often stop responding entirely for a week or more at a time. We have had to constantly follow up just to get basic communication. Before we hired him, he assured us that he would fix the sprinkler system as part of the project because he guaranteed the sod for 3 months. However, after most of the sod had already been installed, we still had entire sprinkler zones that were not functioning -- even after paying him to replace all the valves. It then took two weeks of repeated follow-up from us before he finally came back to inspect the issue. At that point, he told us our 30+ year old sprinkler wiring also needed to be replaced. Even though we had already paid him for a landscaping job that was still incomplete, he told us he could not afford to purchase the wiring materials himself and needed additional money upfront. We paid him half for the wiring work, and now, four weeks later, he still has not returned to complete the sprinkler repairs. In our opinion, the sod should never have been installed before the sprinkler system was fully functional. Additionally, the yard was not properly rolled after the sod installation, leaving the ground extremely uneven and bumpy. It has now been 8 weeks since roughly 75% of the project was completed, and the work is still unfinished despite numerous promises from Erik that he would return on specific dates. Many times he either does not show up or stops responding altogether. We understand delays can happen, but consistent communication, honesty, and follow-through are critical when customers have already paid significant amounts of money for unfinished work.

Greg and his tree crew did an excellent job taking down two of our oaks that had died due to new…read moreconstruction damage. I had ground electrical outlets near both trees, they protected those, I had an address rock and a rose bush near the largest tree and those and a rock wall around the area, were all protected very nicely by prior planning on where the trees would fall. Both trees fell without issues right where they were planned to go. Then the crew began cutting the trees apart and chipping the smaller limbs and branches and cutting up and stacking the larger ones, to be hauled off. The clean up job the crew did was the best. You would never know there had been little sticks, branches, leaves and saw dust everywhere. Owner, Greg left as clean up began and the crew continued on doing an excellent cleanup job. Stumps will be ground also. I recommend Rose Home Services, Rose Tree Service, to anyone needing trees removed or trimmed.

Ground cover is mowed to bare dirt monthly, and cannot regrow before being sheared to the ground. There seems to be no knowledge of how to care for different species of ground cover. They cut years worth of English ivy to bare dirt in March. Lirope muscari is cut down every visit as is mini mondo grass that NEVER needs cutting has been trimmed several times this year! I hope the landscape survives their weekly assault. They must be cheap, it shows!
