Last year we met with North Town and insured our truck. 1900.00 (6 months) and found out after a fender bender that the truck only had liability. That's 1. We also insured our RV. When it came time for renewal this year I got an email asking us to call and discuss the renewal. We did call and were told it had renewed. No email stating how much it. No communication. That's 2. I called my State Fam guy and asked him to quote. It came in 200.00 less. North Town couldn't tell me where the payment was pulled from and I couldn't locate in my bank account. That's 3 Today after I sent an email and called, they were able to tell me where it came from. Then they said a check would be mailed. After pressing further, they stated it would be returned to my bank. Minus 74.00 for 3 days of coverage. That's 4 DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE. They don't know what they are doing read more

I have been going here for years but recently needed a quote to get 2 more cars insured and it was a train wreck! Not quick to respond, can't go in person to speak with someone the door is locked, made an appointment and was rushed and then I never received the documents by email that was suppose to be sent over until I reached out again to follow up and asked for them, she gave me a quote by text and when I asked for the quote in an email I received a quote that was way off from the texted quote and not even for the right vehicle! This company wouldn't even quote me unless I called them so they could "make sure I'm a good fit". A good fit for what? What kind of fit does a customer need to get a quote for home/auto/umbrella insurance? I sent them all my declaration pages so they could easily compare apples to apples but they still refused. While I understand a relationship is important between someone and their insurance agent, that wouldn't begin until I knew their pricing and agreed I wanted to sign on with them. I'm getting quotes from several insurance companies and this is the only one that told me I need to fit their mold or else I should go somewhere else. So I did. I recommend you do too. read more

It would do the company value if they learned communication skills. They had told me back in May they would take my policy off of auto draft and now I'm having an overdraft fees and talking to the insurance company I found out that they had never talk to Northtown about that so Northtown told me they would take care of that and then they didn't and they never relayed that information to me definitely going to be going through a new broker because every time I call the girls are rude and Literally need customer service skills it's not that hard to just agree with the customer read more

There were at least 3 reviews on here, that were FAKE!! ... 3 of these reviews (ALL posted the same day 3-4-16) are from employees that work at North Town, Heather G, Megan C and Linnea W. I called North Town Insurance on 4-21-2016 and spoke with Heather G. about a quote on our home, 3 vehicles and a 32 ft travel trailer. She promised that I'd be first on her list come Monday morning (4-25-16), TO WHICH I'VE NOT HEARD 1 WORD FROM HER TO THIS DAY.. I told her even if there was not a better price on them, I still was going to transfer ALL of my policies there. I also sent an email to the owner about this, Bourke Owens, and NOT 1 word from him either. We did have a few policies with them, to which is now being transferred to a better place that quoted me within an hour. I'm guessing the North Town people are paid an hourly wage, so having to quote me for insurance would trouble them. Heather G. is an Associate Producer - Commercial Specialty, so maybe this is why I NEVER heard back. If they can't give a quote, DON'T ANSWER THE PHONE AND PROMISE TO GET BACK WITH ME!!!!!! Got me better insurance and saved me money! My previous company didn't include uninsured motorist which cost me $1,000 deductible when my parked car was hit with no note. North town told me about it, wasn't even aware of it because insurance is not my expertise. Said if I paid a little extra to add it wouldn't of had to pay...even with the "little extra" I was still saving $300 a year over previous company and better insurance. I live in Seattle, but when I bought my car, the dealer tossed in a card for Northtown, so I called them. I have been SO INCREDIBLY happy with them and I have recommended them to others. They help me find programs that work for me and fit my lifestyle without me chasing all of these companies around and trying to keep the various products they offer straight. It is a little Spokane-centric (like the newsletter), but I actually enjoy reading it and feeling like I am part of a small business. I cannot recommend them enough and have my rental and auto insurance there. When I call, they answer the phone and are just AWESOME. read more

Aaron Mann got me a quote very quickly, worked hard to make sure I was getting what I needed, gave me his honest opinion and even stayed after closing time to help me! Not to mention he saved me several car payment's worth of money per year! I couldn't appreciate his effort more; I feel secure in my policies and that peace of mind is priceless. I purchased a car and the dealer called Northtown Insurance. Upon signing up for insurance Northtown snuck in an "Agency Fee" to the bill without notification. I admit I signed the paperwork agreeing to the Agency Fee. However, there was no explanation or warning of this fee. If I had gone directly to the insurance company I would have avoided the $150 fee. I would recommend cutting out the middle man, and just go directly with the insurance company unless you have the money to burn. In addition, upon signing up the agent said they'd call to get my banking information within the next day or so but I never received a call. Otherwise, cancellation went smoothly and I signed up for another insurance. read more

If i could give a negative review I would. I called over 2 weeks ago. Spoke with Mat Paulson who assured me that he would call me 2 business days later. He didn't. I called his receptionist told me he was at the farmers market and would call me the following day. I called the following day after waiting most of the day for the return call. No call and the receptionist said he was in and transferred me. His assistant told me he was not in and out sick (interesting small office hard to not know the person you just said was in the office suddenly became ill) and the assistant assured me that he would call me back the following day. Well it has been 2 weeks and I have set up insurance with a more responsive company health, home, auto and boat. I guess Mat was just too busy to respond or even leave he was too busy to respond and instead had his receptionist and assistant "cover" for him. I would definitely use another company for your insurance needs if you want any assistance at all. read more

Horrible! You'll get through but won't get a response once you hang up! I have been with this agency for several years for both vehicle and home insurance. I am a professional who transferred across the state for a job. My trouble with them began when I moved out of town but wanted to make adjustments and work on quotes. When I lived in the area, I would stop in person to get things done but now to far to do that, I have called several times and once I get a hold of someone, they never respond with any quotes, info, etc, and it has cost me thousands of dollars in less than a year!! Time to do my own work because they are getting paid to do nothing but answer phones, not help with insurance needs! I've talked with Megan twice most recently and she was worthless, didn't answer questions, and I still don't have quotes for things I need! Very poor service!! Not sure how a business can survive with staff that won't respond to customers and have nothing better than to falsely post reviews to their own site. Makes one wonder why they even need to do that!! read more
