The front entrance has a security/ front desk that provided exact location of the clinic because its a big building and I looks like its easy to get lost in there in my opinion. Typical waiting even with an appointment. Clinic looks new, neat and clean. Good customer service from front desk person. Looks like a fast paced busy clinic based on the people in the waiting area. There is a small tv but is off, it would be nice if there is a big tv or multiple tvs so people won't get bored waiting. We were called around 7:20 for a 7:00 appointment. During our brief visit, Dr Kofoed was pleasant, calm, not rushing, showed the photo of the xray and able to explain everything we need to know. I was able to schedule the next follow up appointment and will update the next experience based on that.

Yelp needs a zero stars rating. Setting the appointment was…read morenothing short of a nightmare. It's standard to get X-rays before the appointment. They assume you know this. They don't ask if you already have X-rays. If they return a call, one person says, "hey it's me". If you return someoneo call, and tell the person, FOUR times, the name of the person you are calling for, she says, "I need to find out who called you". I witnessed a nurse giving pre-op and post-op surgical instructions in the waiting room! I know what pain meds his insurance will cover pre-surgery, they will give him something after surgery and immobilize his arm. He can use his current PT or a new one after surgery. This is all a HIPAA violation. There were 5 people in the waiting room who witnessed this interaction. I have severe medical anxiety due to medical trauma and supply a FULL, typed medicial history and ways to lessen my anxiety during the visit. It states to "read entirely before engaging patient". Nurse taking my BP missed the memo. She tried asking about allergies. Referred her to my paperwork. She asked another question; same response. She spoke to me during my BP reading (not supposed to). Met with the doctor. Went as well as expected. His attitude was apparent and he had no intention of assisting me. He can't understand a frustrated tone. He was more interested in chastising a patient in pain. If it didn't involve invasive procedures, he refers you back to your primary. I walked out angry and upset. Unprofessional office. I recommend avoiding this provider like the plague.

Not only is he a very gifted surgeon and family man but also just a down to earth approachable guy that likes to Mt Bike. I sought out Dr Birkbeck and his team specifically because he specializes in hand and wrist surgery. My experience was absolutely wonderful from the initial consultation to the final follow up appointment. I was also seen by one of the groups PA's Alexis Rockwell and she is amazing as well. It was obvious to me that they care very deeply about how their patents are doing post surgery and I was given ample opportunities and encouraged to ask questions. I had absolutely no discomfort after my surgery and was given adequate pain medication if I should need it post surgically but it was not required. I am not in a big hurry to have surgery again anytime soon but if the need should arise there is no question in my mind that I would chose Dr Birkbeck and his team of dedicated professionals for any orthopedic needs I may require in the future. I would also not hesitate to refer my friends and family to Dr Birkbeck. From the bottom of my heart thank you once again Dr Birkbeck for such outstanding care. P.S. I sat for over 30 min after my scheduled appointment time, I even waited approximately 15 min to ask when I was going to be seen and why a patient that came in after me was being called before me and the receptionist said with a superior tone, "some patients need x rays and there are different doctors" (I literally heard the patient called for the same doctor as me), and then I was told by the nurse "I'm sorry about the wait, you were never checked in". To me that is unacceptable, it wasn't even that busy in the front, why wasn't I checked in by the receptionist? The way the receptionist dealt with me and my situation made me feel like she was looking down on me, like I was stupid or something. I'm very observant and pay attention to things. I had other appointments to get to, I even came in early.

I just had major surgery to have stage 4 endometriosis removed from multiple organs. I even had my appendix removed during the extensive abdominal surgery. She seemed uninterested in my post-operative report. My insurance company dropped me two days before the surgery and she yelled at me to stop crying and told me to get insurance. I did, & then her office was very rude to me over the phone & they didn't even call to confirm my appointment beforehand. I have over 20 years of medical trauma from being misdiagnosed with depression and anxiety when in reality I have had one of the most painful conditions. Dr. Weisbein's demeanor completely changed when her next patient (an older male) walked in and she quickly changed her tone and said, "hello my love!" to him. Bottom line- ladies!!! Don't go to this woman. She's mean. *I almost forgot to mention, when I told her I was in a car accident, she said it was against her policy to talk about more than one injury at a time. *Go to Dr. Eric Grigsby or Dr Melanie Johansson if you need real help and you are a woman. They are experienced and non-biased unlike Jaqueline. *Thank you for your apology for your aggression & I hope you do better for future patients.
