Yes it is a bit older of a place but SO CLEAN and the decor throughout is just wonderful and fun. Lots of areas (also kept very well) to walk around and even a glider-swing on one of the patios that accomodates wheelchairs! So fun! Every person I encountered was patient and very nice. My mom's care team was very responsive to her needs. My mom will be there for a bit longer to recover so I'll have to update but from what I saw just over 2 days I am so thankful she is there and I would highly recommend it to anyone. I will note that the rooms are a bit small for 2 beds but the staff does everything they can to accommodate for visitors if there is more than 1 .... repeating that the rooms are clean! I even looked in corners.

The director All three of them but Donna was so rude and short. Showed no compassion for anyone besides herself. Totally dismissing all patients and some staff. More worried about money, giving patient exp food from food pantry, and making them cleaning, calling it, "Service Time", was ridiculous. Not one staff memeber cleaned not even their bathrooms and we were under micro mgmt. I personally ate PB&J, lost 38LBS, was out of medications, received no counseling therapy and most classes was ourselves reading out of AA, NA books. I learned nothing besides no can drink cleaner to get tippsy. No TVs in room and NO TV for the men at all. They refused to get me and others medical attention and most of the staff if group did have a teacher spoke about themselves and did not allow for patients to have floor time. They gave meds without documenting them, I know because I need this with IB and sleeping meds and gave meds with pts did not ask for. Narcotics given without proper documentation and having pts sign actually form. PLUMBING WAS TERRIBLE. toiles, shower flooded multiple rooms and hallways, which staff did not help clean, and often we had to go down hallway to use restroom. Really state needs to come in under patient care rights and CARF and do a deep investigation.

Management needs to take responsibility and take meaningful action to address the staffing issues instead of allowing nurses to continue carrying an unsafe and unrealistic workload. The high staff turnover is a clear indication that something needs to change. Nurses should not have to constantly work short-staffed, skip breaks, and struggle to meet every patient's needs because there are simply not enough staff. The nurses and patients deserve better. This facility urgently needs to improve staffing, workload distribution, and management support before the situation gets worse.

No return call. Called the ER and they called their office. They told ER there was a problem with my insurance and they would call me later today. Both were lies. I had already called my insurance and was told I would have a higher copay because it was out of network and everything was fine. I did billing and coding for doctors, clinics, and Orthopedic doctors for over 35 years so I know how it works. I finally got a call 2 days later. If I or my employees ran our facilities like this, we would be out of a job. Very bad customer service.

They came back after a 3 minute wait and said "we can't find em" let's. Just switch your Dr. I'm like okay? So They did and he saw me and started the whole process over again which took 2 weeks. He saw me and scheduled surgery. He said "talk to the secretary to get the dr. Note." So I did, I said I needed it asap. They said it would take 1 day to send it through email...it took almost the entire month to get it filled out after calling back 5 TIMES. And each time they gave me a snippy attitude AS IF I WERE IN THE WRONG. In the actual surgery room they asked me if it was my left or right arm. I said right obviously that's where the Injury and sling is. "They told me oh I guess it was an orthopedic secretary who wrote down the wrong information" THEY ALMOST OPERATED ON THE WRONG SHOULDER BECAUSE OF THESE INCOPMATENT SECRETARIES. and yet they have the disrespect of a snotty teenage brat towards the patient who sustained injury to no fault of his own. I definitely dont need to feel like im burdening or angering them by calling in and asking for help. I treat them respectfully and all do is dish out is attitude after several times being PROVEN they are in the wrong.; without fail I might add. Replace these people. They have no idea how to treat desperate patients.

How asinine is that? Then she said they wanted to reschedule and I said fine, I'll reschedule when you call me once you have the referral sorted. She started to complain that is not how they do things and I said again I'll schedule when you have the referral and she hung up on me. I'm not interested in running around trying to get other people to properly do their jobs. I do not want anything to do with people who hang up on their potential patients because they ae rude and incompetent. If you encounter incompetent and rude people in one part of the organization then the rest of the org is just as bad in my experience. I contacted my Dr. and I won't be wasting my time with these supposed professionals.

However, I experienced a lack of preparation, an absence of communication, and a failure to reorder necessary medications --on multiple occasions. These negative aspects of my time at the Legacy stemmed from the Administration's systemic failure. Administration provided no orientation or introduction to the facility. Thus, I had no knowledge of visiting hours, food menus, or any patient rules. I did not even know there was an onsite Social Worker until the last week of my 5 week stay. I had to track her down to find out if administration had a discharge plan for me. I was initially provided a wheel chair with no foot rests and a bed with no arm rests. This was at a time when I was non ambulatory. Eventually, these medical items were provided. Still., when the facility ran out of my two heart medications (needed 2x a day) I wasn't told til the time I was to receive them that they ran out and had not yet reordered. It took 24 hours to get these medicines. All in all, my review of the Legacy is mixed.. I think if the Administrators strengthened themselves into a team that promoted clarity and transparency to their patients/clients this would be a very good facility. Patricia McGuire Lopas

We were happy with the care she received, that's why we brought her back again. First of all, it's a very clean facility, small and personal, but most of all great staff. The nurses my Mom had were professional & helpful. The CNA's were amazing. The ones I will mention were the very best. Mario, Smile, Rain, and one special CNA on swing shift named Michelle. Jessica on the weekends was also an excellent help with my Mom, Nursing director Teri was extremely helpful, always available to help. Vanessa social worker was also fantastic at assisting with so much. The physical therapists & occupational therapists were also great. I hope my Mom never has to go back, but if she ever did, Legacy would surely be our number 1 pick. Much love & thanks to the staff. We are forever grateful for their kind & wonderful care of our Mother. Thank you so much!
