Absolutely would NOT recommend this apartment complex. I rented an all inclusive apartment from this company at this location in 2015/2016 (at the time included furniture/all utilities and cost $1550/month and now is $2500+) and my Fiance from 2023-current which when he started renting was $1050/mo and now $1550 which incudes no furniture or utilizes which mine previously included). The apartment complex is poorly maintained. Pest control is not routinely managed and not addressed when it was brought to the attention of the office.The most newly renovated units (which he has) has drawers coming off of hindges, and completely overpriced now considering the tremendous and outrageous raise in price with less attention to maintenance. (Once you've been locked into a lease, there is little to absolute no attention to any maintenance that's necessary) There were two separate major water/plumbing leaks (to out knowledg this is a common occurrence outside of the experience we had...look at other low reviews to verify this) to the unit above ours that were not addressed by the complex is a timely manner resulting in water damage and us having to discard MANY personal belongings. The heater has not been able to keep the apartment above 62 degrees during the winter, and was never repaired by the company. The screen door is rusted and broken, swinging at any gust of wind and never repaired after notice to the complex. Neighboring units clearly smoke substances that infiltrate the walls although it's a breach of contract. The pools during the summer are closed at any given period of time. There are 3 pools at the complex for which 2 are closed the majority of the time. Maintenance never unlocks them, so the pool behind the office is typically the only pool open. Majority of the time there is so much commotion and too chaotic to even want to go. I would not recommend this complex to families or UA students. There are much nicer complexes with more amenities and much more livable and accommodating than this complex. Lastly when trying to terminate lease with a life changing event with 90 days notice and given above information, the complex denied request. Understandable given it's a contract agreement, but unacceptable given all of the circumstances. If you want to risk your furniture/clothes/sentimental items being permanently damaged by toilet water from another unit (also never properly cleaned afterward), want your family exposed to the odor of marijuana at any time of day, want pests in your unit, and an air conditioning unit/heater that does not work and will not be addressed, I suppose this is the complex for you, otherwise I would suggest to stay away from any sealy managed apartment complex. (Forest trail (also sealy property managed) as well, considering a friend of mine was locked out of her apartment for hours with her dog that requires medication for seizures locked inside due to the emergency maintenance never answering their phone and showing up drunk several hours later and only showing up once we said we needed to break the window to get the dog or they would be liable for veterinary costs once the dog needed emergency medications) I hope this helps any families or friends considering this complex. It should be the last and final resort if nothing else is available, and even then, suggest signing a shorter lease period to find out for yourself. read more

On 7-4-25 I applied to rent an apartment with them and paid the $35-$45 fee with a credit card to have them run my background check. The next business day, I called them at about 1030 AM CST to tell them to cancel my application. They said they already ran my credit report, so I was out my application fee. I then requested my credit card company to dispute the charge. The credit card company sent me a letter a few days later saying that they gave me a credit for the background check charge. Then, starting in August I started getting emails that I owed some company $101.25 with a phone number to call to discuss it. I thought it was a scam, so I just deleted the emails for the next 3 months, which came once a month. Then I blocked the email on my gmail account. Then in mid December I got an email from Experian telling me that the $101.25 was sent to a collections company. I called that company on 12-22-25 and finally found the person who could tell me about it. There was an additional charge of $65 added to the original application fee for canceling my application for a total of $101.96. So, I gave TransWorld (TI) my credit card # to pay this outrageous charge just to get it removed from my credit report and get my FICO score back up into the 807 range again. So it seems like Northbrook just takes applications for apartments and uses them to earn income if people decide to change their minds on renting one of their apartments, which I never saw in person since I live about 2000 miles away in CA. I guess they never heard of the law that was passed back in the 1990s that anyone can change their mind on a contract if they do it within 72 hours? read more

I have lived at Northbrook Apartments for 25+ years, and I am very proud to call this community my home. The apartments and grounds are always well maintained. The office staff are wonderful to work with and have always gone above and beyond to insure everything from paperwork to maintenance requests are handled properly and working well. The maintenance staff is experienced and makes sure that my requests are completed timely. When considering the size of the community; the number of available floorpans from which to choose; and the competence, friendliness; thoroughness of the staff Sealy has placed in this community, I believe I am getting the best value for the money I spend on rent. read more

Absolutely horrible! SAVE YOURSELF. The office management is the worst I've ever experienced. Never have I ever had so many people roll their eyes in my face when asking for help. It is obvious that their job only requires that they are able to sit on Facebook for multiple hours at a time, ignore their tenants, gossip, and of course, no math skills are required. The pool has stayed locked and dirty for 6 months. When I first arrived my air conditioner was broken for two days!! I REGRET ever coming here and can only hope my next place will be even a hair better! Otherwise, I would have loved it here if the office employees weren't complete trolls. read more

The front office is terrible! Never try to ask them for help! They will just try to put the blame all on you and solve nothing. REALLY BAD land lord. She is almost impossible to get a hold of and she is never in her office. Plus she tries to blame you for your complaints. Ridiculous. I am glad my lease is up in July. The parking is horrid. Every time they have lawn people working, they weed whip and shoot rocks onto your car. I complained to the office that my windshield cracked because of their lawn people and they told me that its my problem not theirs. The noise is unreasonable. My neighbors were horrible and loud and the front office never cared about noise complaints. There is always poop everywhere! I also never wanted to sit out on my porch because there was always a large amount of people that would sit outside my complex and smoke. I am positive it was weed since the cops were there a month before. DO NOT rent here!! SAVE YOURSELF!! read more
