NM does not appear to keep employees....always a different person! You have to expect to basically stay on top of everything.

Terrible service, never answer the phone or return calls. Completely non responsive and if you do not stay on top of everything they will never contact you. Have been waiting for a motor repair for over two months now. After a month of no contact, I finally went to the store only to find out they couldn't test the part because they needed the power cable - BUT THEY NEVER CALLED ME TO GET IT! I had to bring it to them so they could test but still have not heard anything. read more

I waited for 10 minutes while I saw 2 people working behind a desk and 2 people in a back room. I finally approached a man and asked about socks. he said he would get the compression socks expert to speak with me. He then went 2 feet over to the woman behind the desk doing nothing and asked her if she could help me. She reluctantly said yes. I told her I needed 2 pair of socks and she said ok but we should measure you for size. I told her I knew my size but she insisted I be measured. I said ok and she responded that I needed an appointment to be measured. To be measured they take a measuring tape and measure your calf. I said you can't do that now and she said no I needed an appointment. there was no one in store with 4 employees standard by around. Dint go to this store!! read more

They have the largest supply of Delta-8 I've seen in Albany. I 'highly' recommend them! ;)

These people are awful, and they don't deserve your business. I had gone there with my elder friend to get a walker for her husband. We had determined he needed a walker with a seat, but the prescription was for a regular one. My friend doesn't drive and I was visiting, leaving that evening. We were told he needed a new prescription. I won't bore you w the details. Basically we got the new prescription just before 5, we're physically in the store, told them the timeliness of the situation, and they STILL wouldn't give us the walker. I understand they were operating on policy, but I asked for an exception and they refused. I consider that bad business. Miserable people with bad attitudes. read more

I have never written a negative review on here but felt compelled. My surgery for Achilles repair was on Friday 6/12 and my paperwork was dropped off the previous Monday. I called on Thursday hoping to pick up my knee scooter, the day before surgery, and was informed by Kaleigh (sp?) that she was still waiting for information from OrthoNY. I told her that I wished she could have let me know sooner. She immediately got defensive and confrontational. Kept talking over me. Totally unprofessional. Told me she sent the email at "1034AM and 37 seconds"... Rude. I asked if I could do anything. She said no. She also informed me that she thought there were only one or two knee scooters and that there were two people ahead of me and that I didn't need one until a few days after surgery.. OMG. I suggested that I use another (and there are plenty... Felt like 2 minus two is Zero so no scooter for me) business and she said please hold. Then told me that she "thinks" they have a scooter and that the "tech" was out. Unbelievable. I told her that we weren't making any progress on the call and that I was hanging up. She kept calling back and continued trying to talk over me. Again... Unbelievable. I called OrthoNY and they had NO RECORD of Kaleigh contacting them. Upon contacing OrthoNY myself, they had the information over to Northeast within an hour and still no guarantee of a knee scooter before my surgery. So I went on Craigs list and bought a high end scooter for a third of the price of the three month rental. Most insensitive and rude interaction with a business is quite some time. And to boot... The parking brake doesn't work (DANGEROUS) and the wheels are different colors. Wish I could show a video of the parking brake. The one I bought for 100 bucks on craigslist was MUCH nicer... WOW Only reason I used them was the proximity to the OrthoNY office. What a mistake... read more

Northeast Mobility Center - two different colored wheels. Again, unbelievable... - Medical Supplies Near Me - Albany, New York

The Bone and Joint Center sent my prescription for my scooter and letter of medical necessity to Northeast Mobility Center 5 days before my surgery. I called them to verify that they had received both. I was told they had not received the letter of necessity and asked that I contact the Bone and Joint Center to resend the necessary documents so that my insurance could approve the prescription for the scooter. Bone and Joint Center stated all necessary document were sent x2. Called Dave at NMC 4, 3, 2, 1 days before my surgery and left a message on his voice mail regarding insurance approval for a scooter to use after my surgery. He did not return any phone calls. In fact, the only way I could speak with someone from the rental department was to speak with the receptionist and only then would Dave from the rental department speak with me. On the day before my surgery, NMC sent the required documents to my insurance and stated they requested an expedited approval for the scooter rental. The day of my surgery I received a phone call and email from my insurance company that the prescription had been approved and notification was sent the NMC. Three days after my surgery I sent a friend to NMC to pick up the scooter. She had the letter of approval from the insurance company and my insurance information with her. NMC stated they had not received the approval from the insurance company, would not accept the letter of approval I sent with her and that she would have to pay out of pocket for the rental of the scooter. She did pay out of pocket but, that meant I had to get reimbursement from the insurance company. After I returned the scooter, NMC attempted to bill my friends charge card for the rental, instead of billing the insurance company. My friend refused the charges and called me immediately. At that point, I decided that NMC needed to get their act together when it comes to billing and submit appropriately to the insurance company. After all, they had all the necessary insurance information and approval from the insurance company but, decided to use my friends charge card. I guess it was easier to attempt to get immediate payment from a credit card than to bill the insurance company. It took them a few days to figure out that they needed to bill the insurance company. The insurance company approved to pay for all BUT 9 cents of the rental bill. NMC called me and left a message telling me that my insurance was only paying them 9 cents for the rental and I needed to call them and make payment arrangements. I called NMC and informed them that they were completely wrong and that they received payment for the scooter except for 9 cents. I also told them that they needed to get a better handle on dealing with insurance companies with approvals and billing. I have good insurance and there was never a question of payment for rental for the scooter. NMC has billing issues which causes unnecessary problems for very needy individuals. I would not recommend this company for medical equipment rental. They are rude, do not communicate with clients effectively and clearly have no clue when it comes to dealing with insurance companies appropriately. read more
