I was able make the appointment online at the Hannaford website, which typically shows stores where appointments are available over the next 5 days. Once I created a pharmacy account (I already had a grocery account) all of my medical information was automatically initialized from my last vaccine at a different Hannaford, and I was able to fill out the questionnaire online instead of at the store. I had a 1pm appointment, and when I was there, the pharmacy had 2 on staff and a 3rd returning from lunch, so hopefully the earlier reviews talking about mid-afternoon closures are a thing of the past. A couple of electronic signatures (followed by the hand sanitizer they have next to it), and done in 20 minutes, including my follow-up appointment. The waiting area is fairly large, and the chairs are spaced well. The only quirk is the vaccination "room," which looks like it was originally a storage area converted, and no larger "consultation room" as other stores now have. While I was there, I did see several other customers come in for prescription pick-ups, and the process looked like they were handled well.

A number of national chain stores have claimed to recycle the heavy plastic bags that are used as…read moremailers. Walmart is one of those businesses. I was so delighted when I recently showed up at the Supercenter on Troy Road to discover that the Walmart's claims were true. I didn't know what the recycling bin would look like. So I asked for help and I found the staff to be gracious. They walked me over to the recycling area which was neat and well maintained. The bin was empty and ready to accept donations. I believe strongly in sustainability and reducing my carbon footprint. I've been looking for recyclers in the Capital Region. Sometimes, I get disappointed. There are chain stores (should I name them all?) which claim to recycle but do a poor job of it. Their employees are nasty and their bins are dirty, neglected and overflowing. I'm happy to share the good news that both this Walmart as well as the Target store in the neighboring shopping plaza are accepting plastic mailers for recycling and their employees have been welcoming. The recycling process time consuming and expensive. It's nice to know that some large businesses are giving back.

Other people came to this aisle pressing the button waiting for assistance. at least 10 more minutes passed so I went to the service desk. I told the female at the service desk I have been waiting ( with others) for someone to come with the key. She claimed she would get someone. No one came. The apathy of these employees is digusting.

Today I went there as the designated location for my second Covid booster shot. They took me right on time for my appointment. The general pharmacy staff was friendly. However, of special note, the pharmacist was super friendly and efficient. Although I was already familiar with the potential side effects (since this was my forth Covid related shot) the pharmacist took extra time to explain things and was extremely attentive despite the pharmacy being extremely busy. Overall I was very impressed with the interaction today and I highly recommend this pharmacy.

This CVS is presently undergoing a renovation, so I doubt it's as clean and organized as it might…read moreotherwise be. The inventory was still in generally good condition. Hopefully some of this renovation will take place at the pharmacy, because it's somewhat cramped and not really capable of handling a backlog of customers. There's 2 self-check kiosks in the front, with no place for a line to wait if there's a backup. Hopefully these get a facelift too, as they could be more user-friendly.

It smelt great (when we are there this summer I want to grad a bite!) They also had cute things to look at and has that hometown feel.
