I've been coming here for a couple of years now. The initial process was to get tested to see what you're allergic to. It was interesting to see what I had always thought I was allergic to and to find some new stuff I didn't know I was allergic to. After the test they make some cocktails full of your allergens and slowly build up your tolerance to those allergens. In the beginning you get lots of shots but after a while they taper off to every month or something longer. The doctors I've worked with here were helpful but the real magic is the ladies giving you your shot every time. They're all great and make the process fun. The facilities are nice and the reception team is also helpful and always pleasant. If you need want to pursue allergy shots this is the spot. read more

I've been seeing Dr. Nugent for a couple years. The office always is busy. The care that I have received , has always been wonderful from the front desk to the checkout person.. The office manager Jill ,runs a very tight schedule, it appears to run very smoothly. Kelsey, the authorization clerk has always been on top of things always seems to know when I'm there and follows up on things for me . The medical assistant for Dr. Nugent is very thorough and runs him on schedule most of the time very efficient and very thorough with all that she does.. I'm not really sure what's up with this place. Not very good experience from scheduling up to the day before the appointment. Called to schedule an appointment and they told us there's a 6 month wait. So fine. 6 months goes by and the appointment is tomorrow and they send me a deductible price of $3,300 before insurance will pay anything. I realize that's out of their control but waiting 6 months to tell me that info when I could have cancelled months ago and been trying to find another allergist. So I looked up Peak Allergy this morning and SAME DAY, no more than 45 minutes later Peak Allergy calls and tells me I won't have to pay anything if I go to them. Not only that, they got me in SAME DAY. So if you're reading this, go to Peak Allergy and don't spend 6 months of wasted time waiting for this office. read more

Outstanding! Dr Reyes is my immunologist. She's just the most I need an immunologist for life and this whole office in Carson City is wonderful. Today, I had my first new patient appointment to establish with the clinic. First of all, once they received my referral months back they called me right away to schedule even though the first available wasn't for a while. They offered to send me the paperwork to cut the time so I wouldn't have to come in 30 minutes prior to my appointment to complete. A few days before I received a text and an email to confirm my appointment and do the e-check in. All these little things helped so I could come without having to do anything when I got to the clinic, which I appreciate! I was greeted immediately as I walked into the facility by Corey at check out who flagged me to come to her to check in. I gave her the paperwork, ID, and insurance card which took a minute to scan altogether. I waited about 4 minutes for my name to be called and was greeted by the MA to be roomed. Although I couldn't remember her name, she was very nice and welcoming. I waited another couple minutes until Kelly, NP evaluated me. She reviewed my paperwork and asked me thorough questions about my health history and the plan of care. She also evaluated the areas of concern on my body. It was nice as she was able to pull up what my insurance would cover with her treatment plans so I knew what to expect moving forward. She also advised what medications to hold prior to the next visit. It was like full circle as I approached check out and Corey was there ready to schedule my next follow up visit which was swift. She handed me a reminder card and gave me a list of medications to hold prior to my next visits, which I greatly appreciated! All in all my experience with the clinic for it being my first time was very good and I am excited to see what the outcome of the recommended plan will be. read more

Communication needs to improve at this office. After waiting a 1 1/2 we left in fustration. No one ever commicated that the doctor was behind. The back office staff did not greet us or apologize for our 45 mins wait in the lobby. I was only told the doctor was behind after waiting 30 more mins and then leaving the room to ask for a update. I tried to address this with the office manager and she took no ownership. First telling me that they do not know when a doctor was going to behind and in the same breath telling me that doctor is frequently behind. I will not be going back. read more

The staff & medical care here is great but I'm always grossed out by the dirty exam rooms - stains, dirty floors, walls, and surfaces even though I'm always the first appointment of the day. Also when Im bringing my toddler in for food allergies and there is cereal on the floor, not good. I'm a medical professional and would never allow my clinic to look like this. read more

Dr. Maria Reyes is the most incredibly attentive doctor I have dealt with. She spent so much time trying to combine all my documentation in detail. She is so highly attuned to recognizing my past symptoms and current symptoms and provided me with so much more information than any other doctor in the past. Dr Reyes is a specialist ~and I mean a truly knowledgeable, professional doctor who goes above and beyond. She tested me for allergies and found many! I have never even had a doctor test me (ever) and I have been to many, many others to try to get answers. I am so impressed with the ENTIRE staff at both locations: Carson City & Reno. In particular: Tracey at the Carson City office is incredibly helpful; Tory, Michelle and Helena make the Reno location genuinely warm and and such a pleasure to deal with. I would recommend Dr Reyes highly for any person having any issues related to allergies, immune system issues, any sinus problems, low IGG levels, etc. Dr. Reyes is a has a really wonderful bedside manner and her staff reflects the positivity and professionalism and are all truly lovely! read more

I would say this place is a joke, but nothing is funny when it comes to your health and well being. I've heard good things about the doctor, but after spending almost exactly 2 years to get it, I have bailed on this, and I have gone to "Peak Allergy" and I couldn't be happier. I have spent hours filling out paperwork and no less that 60 unanswered phone calls and just as many voicemails left with ZERO, count em. ZERO return calls. I even went in to discuss my disgust with their business practice and was told I could wait to speak to someone, but I would probably have to come back after lunch. So I agreed to come back two weeks from never. If you are need of a solution to your medical opportunities, this is NOT the place to go. And it's sad. It's close to both home and work, I looked forward to tackling this. Now I will tackle it, but it will be with "Peak Allergy." Good luck to them and their current customer base. read more

I found Northern Nevada Allergy Reno a very efficient and professional office. I am grateful to Cynthia L. Repella, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC who is very thorough and professional. My shots were very effective and now I seldom cough. The nurses do give the shots in an open area so they can keep an eye on us. The office and restroom are always impeccably clean and conveniently located. The waiting area is very large and lots of chairs even though waits have always been short. The staff and shot nurses are very professional and friendly. There is a mandatory 20 minute wait after the shot for everyone and the nurses notice even a slight symptom. I appreciate their quick patient concern and attention. Northern Nevada Allergy is a wonderful clinic and I fully recommend their care plan. read more

Have allergies? Have migraines? It's possible to take care of both at one place. NNA has a program of allergy shots that have helped my severe allergies & pretty much stopped my chronic migraines. I also have suffered from chronic bronchitis with the wonderful gift every Christmas, but since I have started my allergy shot program, even without a flu shot I haven't had a bronchitis attack. We called the office for my son who had extreme allergy like symptoms in August of 2023 and the earliest appointment was in October of 2023. To triage the symptoms we also saw our pediatrician in August. His symptoms started getting worse to a point where he was coughing so much that he was vomiting multiple times a day and having trouble breathing. He had a few emergency visits, was on steroids, nebulizers, and had x-rays to ensure nothing else was going on. An urgent referral was sent over to this allergist's office but nope, no change in our appt. We had our scheduled appointment in Oct to have an allergy scratch test with the doctor, waited for 1.5 hours to see someone and then was told that the doctor had to leave early and we couldn't do the scratch test either. We were then given an option for bloodwork (which is rough for a 4.5 year old) and then scheduled a back-up appt for a scratch test which was way out in Jan of 2024. We got our bloodwork done in November and called the office as instructed to have the results reported to us and to schedule a follow-up visit to work out a treatment plan. 2 weeks post blood-work results, no call-back, I called the office and left a VM. No call-back, and I called the office 3 weeks post blood-work and spoke to the front desk and they relayed the message to the medical assistants. No call-back and just called today - extremely frustrated. The woman taking my call was defensive, dismissive and honestly not taking any ownership for what is close to negligence of a child's medical condition. This is unacceptable and I hope that this review wakes someone up at that office as this could end in something really horrible for a patient, and in our case a child. I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else and as someone who is in the healthcare industry, I can't believe medical professionals would treat a patient this way. read more

This may be the most poorly managed medical office in Reno. It is almost impossible to reach anyone on the phone during business hours. Instead of arranging to see a patient in one visit, they stretch it out to two visits minimum. Excuse is they don't know if one's insurance allows just one visit. They are too backed up to call and find out one's insurance and would rather the patient waste time. The doctor may be knowledgeable but I will never know. I walked out after 45 minutes and being told I would have another 30 minutes before being put into an exam room. read more
