They tackled towering cottonwoods which were leaning over our fence line (and had already broken our fence and roof in last winter's storms). They trimmed and shaped our fruit trees and other misc. trees grazing against our house. They cleaned up and removed all the tree debris, leaving my front and back yards looking better than when they arrived. We needed 3 trees on our property trimmed and wanted to plant a tree in the back yard. I shopped around with 2 other companies. One never called me back to schedule a quote and the other big name company came out and told me what they would do instead of listening to what I would like to do. That company had about the same price quote as Northern Nevada Tree Experts but they weren't personable and to be honest they were a little pushy. Marx got out here for a quote really quickly and not only was he punctual but he was early! It was a no brainer to go through these guys. Marx and his crew went down to the nursery, picked out, delivered and planted the tree and trimmed our other trees all for the price he quoted and they finished in less time than he said it would take them. Very happy customer! I sent an email to request an appt for a quote and received a response immediately. I also had 2 other companies come out and decided on Marx. He impressed me with his professionalism and had lots of experience in the industry even for what I assume is a young age. Everything he said he would do he did. Including having me come out to look and see if I wanted more trimmed and was happy with the overall shape. He didn't balk as I walked around all 3 trees critiquing his work asking for a little more here a little more there. Then he cleaned up all the mess before asking for payment. I can't say enough good things about Marx and his crew. He came out for an estimate the same day I called with an estimate much lower than I expected. He and his crew arrived exactly on time as scheduled to remove a 50 foot Sycamore tree from the front yard and and elm sandwiched in between a fence and the neighbors shrubs. They had the entire job completed in 2 hours without a single trace that they were ever there. I wanted a stump left in the front yard and I thought it was the right height, but later changed my mind. He came out and cut it to the height I finally decided on without charge! We bought a house just under a year ago that had an overgrown tree in the front yard. Marx came out and gave us a quote on trimming the tree and not only quoted us a fair price, he was extremely knowledgeable and was able to age and identify our tree and explain the maintenance that would be involved with keeping it. Scheduling was easy and when the time came for them to come trim my tree, they called me before hand and arrived 15 mins early. (All good in my book). This is one of the first times we have looked at Yelp. We needed someone to take out 3 large trees from our back yard. (We heard rumors that Yelp excludes some reviews so we weren't sure what to believe.) Marx came out and did an estimate and the job was a reasonable rate. He clearly knows his trees! Had marx come out and look at our 60 foot sequoia in our back yard. It was all yellow and appeared dead. Marx confirmed it was. He gave me a great price for the removal. Showed up on time with a great staff. I have never seen someone climb and work a tree like him. He cut all the limbs off then worked his way back down the tree. All cut in 45 minutes. No damage to my fence or lawn that were very close. Clean up was great. Was much cleaner then when he started. He even took some branches I trimmed from a couple of other trees. I highly recommend this company. I had them do my four Elm Trees 65 to 70 ft tall. They were courteous, professional, they showed up on time, talked to me extensively about their recommendations on my trees. They cut all the dead branches, cut back the branches hanging over my neighbor's roof and property, as well as mine. I was truly impressed with Marx and his crew and impressing me is not easy to do. I have 60+ trees at last count. I've used 3 other companies, but these guys are it from now on. They were here first thing in the morning as promised and took down 2 trees and pruned a couple others in less than 90 minutes. That includes shredding and clean up to make it look like they were never there. I made an appointment with Northern Nevada Tree Experts at the end of summer. Marx came out promptly on the estimate date and the estimate was more than reasonable. Today he and his crew showed up right on time at 7:00 am. They removed a tree for me and did some major league pruning and shaping of numerous other trees. These guys were great. They came out two days after giving us their quote to get the job done. Since we needed maintenance on two trees (our neighbors tree and ours) they worked with our neighbors as well to make sure things were done the same day and the costs were split accordingly between our neighbors and us. After the job was done they cleaned up everything and left the area better than they found it. They even went above and beyond and fertilized some of our arborvitae that we're looking a little feeble at no extra charge. read more

Seriously the best team of guys in the Reno/Sparks area. I have had a problem flowering pear tree that Mark and his team came out and cleaned up. Unfortunately the tree had some bad rot and the branches split in the wind this summer coming down into my yard as well as my neighbors yard. I has previously used Northern Nevada Tree Experts to remove an extremely large pine tree close to one of my rental properties. They did an extremely professional job at a fair price. Marx and his crew are very experienced and professional. I recently had them remove 3 large trees on my rental properties in close proximity to the buildings. This crew didn't just show up on time, they started working on time! We had two elms to remove and they were done in very little time. The crew is a great bunch of guys and they worked well with each other and were thorough in their work.
