So far, this company has been delightful to work with! They make communication easy by offering multiple options such as texting and email instead of just calling. They are very friendly, helpful, and excellent at texting me back when I have questions or scheduling issues. I've only used them for lawn mowing and an irrigation issue assessment so far, but they gave me some very helpful tips to make my sad front lawn look better and it's already improving! Toward the end of last lawn season, I contacted this company as my lawn -- that they had been caring for -- was continuing to look poorly. I do expect a lawn company to monitor my lawn thru out a season and do quality care. I took my ruler out and actually measured the grass height and it was being mowed at perhaps a 1" height. I don't know much about lawn care, but I do know that lawns in our area must be consistently mowed to at least 3" to retain water in our summer heat. They sent out a nice employee to look at my lawn and he verbally confirmed that they had been so busy they hadn't carefully "quality control" monitored all lawns and he confirmed my lawn had been mowed too short thru the season. The company agreed to provide some reduced fee service to me but also diverted the communication into stating that my lawn had a "fungus" and they needed to treat that condition. Bottom line, while this company verbally took some responsibility for the poor shape of my lawn, it was pretty clear they wanted to divert the focus onto some spots of (apparent) fungus on my lawn. One does wonder why they weren't treating fungus earlier on if that was a contributing factor in lawn care. No surprise -- Tailored Lawn is Not my lawn care company now and I would Not recommend them. read more

Showed up on time, crew was professional and did a good job, pricing came in as expected. Will hire again.

We had a large project and it was to remove old lawn in front and backyard, put in new sod and a new sprinkler systems and drip lines, concrete cut out and pavers 2 retaining walls put in . We got six bids ranging from $32,000 to $103,000 & we did not choose the lowest bid because we wanted somebody who had Worker's Compensation and a contractors license. Tailored Lawn Care had both and they were our second lowest bid. Their entire crew were helpful and very professional. When they left at 4 PM daily they put their tools together and worked extremely neatly daily. For replacing new grass, stone removal, retaining wall and sprinkler systems they were incredibly lower than any of our other bids by far and they did an outstanding job. This company told us at the beginning when they started a job that they would not take on another job until they were finished and they kept their word. The owner of the company Brett was a great communicator and seemed to be well respected with his crew. Not good sign so far. I keep calling but no one ever answers. Is this place still in business?

We went from the ugliest front yard to the nicest- I may be biased but I mean... the pictures will speak for themselves. Anyways, we wanted something low maintenance so were looking to xeriscape and Brett and Andrew sure gave our yard the makeover it needed! We had a number of consults and their quote was the most reasonable and within our budget. I liked that they drafted a design prior to putting numbers to the cost of the project because some of the other quotes we received were pretty vague and would only draft a design once you committed. They were very proactive with communication, professional and we couldn't be happier with the results. read more

110% satisfaction, zero complaints. I preface the below with i have never reviewed a company on yelp, ever. But felt it was warranted in this case. I was looking for a landscaping company to replace sod in our backyard in a newly purchased house in Galena Forest and like many people, looked to Yelp for recommendations. I contacted 2 or 3 of the highest rated firms and had them out to bid the job, and was not impressed. I'm not an expert but their bids seemed very over priced. Brett / Tailored Lawn Care was recommend by a friend and they were by far the most knowledgeable and reasonable in their pricing. We hired them to replace about 1400 SF of Sod that had died from when it was shottly installed by the previous owners and they knocked it out of the park. The team arrived on time, as scheduled, and competed the job exactly as advertised. I had a ton of questions as a new home owner and they answered them all. Walking me through all the set up and operation of the irrigation system (not in the original scope) and providing expert guidance on how to maintain the lawn after the installation. Brett personally has stopped by 2 or 3 times after the job was complete (not required) just to check on things and make sure evertyhing was looking good and to ensure a quality product. Kara, Brett and the guys are FABULOUS! Tailored has been caring for my lovely lawn for three years. Full service from mowing, fertilizing, trimming and weeding. They perfectly manage my sprinkling system. Off in the winter, on in the summer. For some reason I have three sprinkler heads who take turns breaking. Although my friend enjoys a clean car, a busted sprinkler head washing your car in the morning when you want to leave, is not good. When I email Kara with a problem, David shows up on Friday to fix it. Now onto their landscaping talents. I decided to change from a lawn to water saving landscaping of course I emailed Kara. Two days later I had an estimate and suggested work date. I decided to add a rock side driveway (concrete was estimated at $11k). Kara contacted Brett. Work started yesterday morning and was completed today by 10 a.m. David, Jared and Charles not only did a superb job, they cleaned up all loose dirt and debris. He did have to reschedule for whatever reason but did make sure to contact me and let me know. i have been having problems with my drip system for my irration at my house. water was not getting to all the emiters and the drip hose was buried at least 2 inches under the ground and then it was all covered with rock making it difficult to troubleshoot where the problem/problems were. i ended up calling tailored lawn care and i am very happy i did. they sent out a guy named david who was friendly, professional and hardworking and finally found 2 problems that he fixed and everything is okay now. if i have anymore problems like this in the future i will definitely be calling tailored lawn care again. read more

Fall clean-up, everybody with a yard needs it, and I'm no exception. My longtime landscaper retired this year, and with a 1/4 acre of trees and bushes, and a healthy growing season, I have a bunch of work to get done, and no muscles to make that happen. Got a quick text response on Thursday, commitment on Friday to come by on Saturday for an estimate. I'm home all day, so no set time, so come when convenient. Saturday comes, and Saturday goes. Sunday comes, and Sunday goes. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday - no text, no call, and no Tailored. Not the first company to blow me off, and probably not the last.
