In September, 2025, I went in for my annual eye exam. Was prescribed a new contact lens prescription. At the moment, it seemed ok. Within a few days I realized they weren't quite right and I was struggling to correctly see in my distance vision. It turns out that my strength was decreased. While the delay in notifying them was my own doing, within a couple of weeks I did finally reach out and notified the of the issue. They "ordered" me new trial lenses. Those new trials took 1 month to come in. I get them and again because they matched both eyes at the lower script, they still are not right. I again notified them and have yet to receive the corrected strength. It's been over another month and we are now into the month of February 2026. I call there and leave messages and never get calls back. Their office hours are not convenient when they are not in the office half of the time. Their lunch break is not covered by other staff so convenience for my scheduled lunch hour never works. The Doctors are only in the office 2 days out of 5 because he has another office location in Watertown. Recently, my husband also went there in December for his annual basic eye exam - nothing special - they billed my health insurance instead of my vision insurance for unknown reasons for his exam and part of exam was not covered as it's not a covered health insurance benefit, yet if they would have simply billed it to the correct insurance company it would have been covered 100%. Now they are looking to me to shell out more money for something they misbilled. When I call and leave messages no one ever calls back. I'd think twice before going here. I plan to move my family to an eye doctor office who actually takes the time to care for their patients needs. read more

The experience for my son and I was great but it has 2 months or more waiting to get my sons glasses!!° I have called twice about them and still don't know why it is taking so long!!!! We have never waited this long for our glasses to come in !!! read more

The staff is extremely rude and I've been trying to get a hold of the office manager almost 2 months with no contact from her. I definitely feel like I should be treated better as I am a customer. I know my eyes are being well taken care of and wouldn't want to anyone else caring for my eyes, The entire staff work well together and are friendly and knowledgeable. I was going to refer someone to come here for vision therapy until it became too toxic of an environment. The office manager is downright abusive. The vision therapist, Liz, is dishonest. She lied about policies that she told me that contradict with office policy. She "threw me under the bus" to cover her behind with her office manager. Half of my session time was taken up being chastised by that bully of an office manager as a result of Liz's dishonesty. My well-being was no longer on the agenda, and "patient-care" turned into patient-subjugation, so I walked away from this practice. What a degrading dehumanizing experience. I am in shock about how poorly I was treated. Where is the doctor in all of this? Why does he allow such abuses of power to take place? read more

went to Northern optics in watertown ask if they participate with empire insurance and they said yes. Made appointment. The day of the appointment ask the office staff if the participate with empire they said yes. Empire says they don't and now I owe 168 dollars. Went to the office when I got the bill and they said they do participate there was a billing problem. They would correct. That was 8/16/2019. now today 2/15/2020 I get a bill that says it is way pass do and if I don't pay it they are going to send to collections because of there mistake.. they lied to me and are dishonest business. do not go there . they are dishonest. And don't know how to do their billing. read more

I cannot begin to explain how unbelievably sick I am of people in local Oswego businesses just thinking they can be as rude as they want and they never have to change anything. This is yet another one of those businesses. Cindy at the front desk is literally ALWAYS rude, and I KNOW people have complained about her before and still NOTHING is done about it, and I'm sure it still won't be. My husband went in there today to address a ridiculous situation that I have literally never dealt with at any other doctor's office. I can admit, he did get angry while he was there --- AFTER Cindy was rude as she ALWAYS is and made a totally unprofessional comment about our marriage. After his visit to their office, I got a voicemail on my phone from a personal cell phone number with ALL SORTS of attitude from the office manager (the doctor's wife). Just so, so, so, unbelievably rude and unprofessional as they ALWAYS, ALWAYS are. In fact, when I was at my most recent appointment, even the doctor himself basically yelled at me, when I told him I didn't want a test done. I am so sick of rewarding businesses who think they are the only gig in town and think they can treat their customers however they feel like it. I cannot WAIT till my next appointment which will be with a DIFFERENT eye doctor. I will never be back here, and regret ever coming here. read more
