Within a few days I realized they weren't quite right and I was struggling to correctly see in my distance vision. It turns out that my strength was decreased. While the delay in notifying them was my own doing, within a couple of weeks I did finally reach out and notified the of the issue. They "ordered" me new trial lenses. Those new trials took 1 month to come in. I get them and again because they matched both eyes at the lower script, they still are not right. I again notified them and have yet to receive the corrected strength. It's been over another month and we are now into the month of February 2026. I call there and leave messages and never get calls back. Their office hours are not convenient when they are not in the office half of the time. Their lunch break is not covered by other staff so convenience for my scheduled lunch hour never works. The Doctors are only in the office 2 days out of 5 because he has another office location in Watertown. Recently, my husband also went there in December for his annual basic eye exam - nothing special - they billed my health insurance instead of my vision insurance for unknown reasons for his exam and part of exam was not covered as it's not a covered health insurance benefit, yet if they would have simply billed it to the correct insurance company it would have been covered 100%. Now they are looking to me to shell out more money for something they misbilled. When I call and leave messages no one ever calls back. I'd think twice before going here. I plan to move my family to an eye doctor office who actually takes the time to care for their patients needs.

The doctor that I saw was Dr. Ford, and he was really kind, personable and patient. He took his time talking with me, explaining my test results and asking me questions that no other eye doctor has ever taken the time to ask. He understood my concerns about the cost of contacts, and took that into consideration when giving me a free pair to try out over the next week. He told me to call the office back to tell him if I liked them and wanted to order a full set or try something else. He even offered to help me with a rebate to make the contacts more affordable. After some time and consideration, I have decided to express my displeasure and feeling of being…read moreduped by The Eye Care Center of Geneva. In years gone by, Dr. Piper of The Eye Care Center advised me against getting prescription glasses, noting that "cheaters" would be enough for me. She was obviously looking out for the patient's best interest; but, as I have aged, my distance vision has slipped. I can still pass a motor vehicle eye test, but it is not the clarity that I once had. With this in mind, I went to The Eye Care Center to improve my condition by way of a vision screening. After a series of chart readings and responses to the question of, "which is better," I received their prescription. Relying on their motto of, "See the Difference!" I expected "better" vision. No one cautioned me any that my condition would result in an imperceptible improvement (basically unnoticeable) in distance vision. Instead, they compounded the situation by upselling me on additional options that resulted in ballooning personal expense which were useless without improved vision. Thus, if you go to The Eye Care Center of Geneva, don't assume that they have your best interests in their mind. They upsell their products; and, completely neglect to tell you that you may not see any improvement. I would strongly advise anyone to: 1) ask pointed questions about future improved vision performance, and 2) to realize you can often get the same results at a discount optical center - - - and, sometimes get more than one pair of glasses for a far lesser cost! BUYER BEWARE! The Eye Care Center of Geneva has lost my business and probably should not get yours.
