We mostly come to this brewery because it's within walking distance to the beach house, which is super convenient. The staff is friendly and even when this place is busy it's not much of a wait for a beer, which I appreciate. Their beers on tap have a little something for everyone. Sour beer, stouts, pale ale, and IPA options are typically available here. They also offer flights if you have commitment issues and can't choose just one. A beer will run you around $9 which to me is fair. Ambiance wise there are a few tables outside for the brewery specifically -- if you sit in any of the spots designated for the neighboring restaurants someone will come out and chastise you, so stick to the brewery tables if you don't want to get hassled. Not a brewery I'd say to go way out of your way to visit, but if this is within walking distance or a short drive to you and you're craving a cold one this is the spot. read more

I love trying local beer when traveling and saw that this brewery did flights. It's a little weird to navigate and it sits in an small little ally way next to a restaurant. Blink and you'll miss it. However, there is plenty of parking. I absolutely loved the inside of the brewery. It's raw and real, there's no sugar coating it. It's literally a brewery and if you want to sit down for a drink, you have to go outside to one of their patio tables. There are chips and cookies for sale (and I highly recommend getting something to eat with your drink). I did two flights (eight 4oz beers total). They have 7 beers on tap so one has to be a double. All of the beer was really good and STRONG. Take your time and enjoy it. The cashier who helped me with my order was super friendly and helpful (even opened the door for me and carried one of my flights out to my table). I was super happy with my experience and I'm glad I didn't listen to the negative reviews. read more

Basic...brewery=beer. A very minimalist brewery-an easy access large parking lot, there was nothing inside the actual brewery to explore/see. We literally walked in, grabbed our drinks, then had to sit outside in the center's patio area to enjoy-there was nothing inside minus the production area. They only had a few beers on their tap list, offering slight variety (pale ale, sour, stout, and two ipas). We opted to try a half pint of each IPA; wasn't spectacular wasn't horrible, a good middle ground beer- It was a nice spot to visit while exploring the area; sit outside with a beer and a breeze, but I did feel for only grabbing two half pints the total price, at $9, was pricier than other beer options in the area. read more

I called the brewery phone number to find out about hours since it's off season in Corolla. I left a message. Within minutes I got a text providing hours for Tuesday and that I would be added to their text list. We arrived to find the owner filling to-go orders. She was friendly and helpful. The beer was delicious! We sat outside (no room inside) and she brought beers to us. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is on the island and wants some great beer! read more

The furthest north you can go in the OBX (that's cool kid talk for Outer Banks) and get to a brewery. Reason enough to stop! Extremely limited hours, but there's a phone number and instructions to call if you want to have a beer. If they're available, someone will let you in. Now, this was during off-season, so it's probably actually open during the summer. But off-season, expect the place to do official retail hours like 2 days a week. Anyway. They had some very good beers - the honey pale ale was particularly interesting - with a good variety. And since they have a canning line, you can bring home some very limited stuff to impress your craft beer friends with back in wherever you live. Definitely worth a stop. read more

Could've leave North Carolina without visiting a brewery. This was probably the tiniest one around, but also the most convenient. The beers are a-ok. They had 6 beers available on tap, and four available in cans. My favorite was the Super Swan Beach Honey Pale Ale. They do flights, so try em all! Kathleen (one of the co-owners) was the only working there that day (with her son), and she was super awesome. She told us about how her partner Mike started homebrewing, and it eventually turned into this. They have a bathroom inside (with one hell of a first aid kit), but sit at the tables (that also double as benches) outside and enjoy the weather. read more

Eh. Fine. Beer wasn't offensive but wasn't great either. We had a couple IPAs and sours, including the lemonade sour. They're very small and for COVID people are sitting outside. That works great, except most of the tables are in a really dirty, wet alley like thing. None of the normal greatness of a brewery and beer that's fine. Stopped in for a few beers on our way back from the Curituck light house. Pretty small operation, but then again it is just a husband/wife side project. Beers were pretty good, but what made the visit memorable with the conversation we had with Kathleen (one of the owners). We'll make it a point to stop again next time we're in town! read more

Just wanted to say we went to this brewery when we were visiting Corolla. I had the hard seltzer which was quiet tasty. However this brewery also has fantastic customer service. I left my hat on a table and when we couldn't coordinate a time for me to swing by, they ended up shipping to me in CA. Friendly place with limited hours. Beers are a little pricey ($10 for a flight) by craft beer standards. The biggest problem is the lack of seating. All seating is outside of the front door near the parking lot in a strip mall setting. However, you do get served by the owner who is exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Great little brewery!!! Obviously, this brewery is fairly new, so the inside bar/serving area was very small. Outside there was plenty of covered space with tables. The beer was good. My husband had the Penny's Hill IPA, which he said went down smoothly. My mom and I enjoyed the Blonde. We brought our own food and sat outside with our dogs. The server was super nice and checked on us regularly, bringing the dogs water and giving them lots of pets. We will proudly be putting their metal logo tin on the wall in our basement bar area. Overall a great place and we can't wait to see where they go from here. read more

If you're looking for a friendly comfortable place to come enjoy a beer, this isn't it. Front door is locked and they only have a few cheesy tables set up in the dark breezeway for on site consumption. Server was not particularly friendly or helpful. Most other breweries have made an effort during this time to create a welcoming atmosphere as best they can while keeping everyone safe but these folks have basically just turned into a production/canning facility. No tasters. Beer served in plastic cups. Beer was average and the experience was just lame and disappointing and not worth the drive. read more

wow. the only reason this place even gets 2 stars is because the beer was pretty good. yes, we walked in 20 minutes before closing time, but all we did was ask for 2 pints and if they distributed to local restaurants/bars (still not sure bc she mumbled the answer). For a brand new brewery, they should probably be a little more "user friendly." Hope they succeed and hire more friendly employees. read more

Friendly staff and great beer! The seating could be a little more open, but it doesn't deter from the great service and freshly brewed beer. And it's a hop skip and a jump from the beach! Highly recommend! read more
